  1. dude, you're talking (or typing?) to the last person on earth who would be disrespectful about how hard serving really is. I just used it as an analogy for tipping pizza guys. no way....pistols at dawn! I got you.....I just wish I was a server in europe while I waited tables. You know, where it's looked at as an honorable profession, not a haven for actor wannabees. and yeah, I could tell from your previous post that you were a server. still servers don't just sling food. well, I never did. *adjusts pipe in mouth*
  2. I tip servers 20 percent just to bring my plate from the kitchen to the table. Quote uh, if a server "just" brought my food from the kitchen and did nothing else, they would get nothing or close to it. (depending on the place obviously) See, servers get no respect and I hate that. Like many things in life, easy to do but hard to master, ya know? Great service is hard to come by.
  3. As a former professional server, I was always pleasantly surprised to get any sort of tip for a take-out order. I would never expect anything. But sure, 10% would have been nice. When I was working my way through school (and between jobs and grad school) as a professional server, I was pleasantly surprised to get tips for carry out stuff. That said, it was a small p[lacxe and it was obvious just how much work was involved in getting together an order like that. This particular place was indian and really did involve a lot of work. Hence, while I never expected getting a tip, I deserved it.
  4. I believe we have discussed this previously. I usually don't unless it is obvious that someone has gone above and beyond the call of duty. Meaning if I call it in and it is just sitting there, no. On the other hand, if I show up, give a person the order and I see them flying to get it together, process it, and really take an interest.....I may toss them a stock tip. Uh, I mean a buck or two.
  5. Bunch of freaks..... if this isn't the pot calling the kettle black, I don't know what is!

  14. Haven't read everything she ever wrote, just The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, but I was always impressed how her novels never came across as didactic. Pretty cool given the fact that they were platforms for her philosophy of Objectivism. Everybody should read the Fountainhead. IMHO
  15. 2 things: Kimchee and tofu stirfry & couscous, gorganzola, and acorn squash, tossed with a caper vinagrette (I would prolly add some red onion and maybe SOME red pepper obviously the kimchee stuff is for winter while couscous is more for spring/summer p.s. brussel sprouts are awesome! (if ya got the "mettle")

Also, Jack was "arrested" for not releasing the nerve gas as ordered. An American guy named Nathanson called Audrey and had her put him in touch with Jack. Jack then escaped custody and went and met Nathanson, getting a computer chip from him before Nathanson was killed by the Russians. Back at CTU, the hobbit guy realized Buchanon and Audrey were working together to help Jack (but perhaps doesn't know Chloe's helping them) and had Buchanon taken into custody. The data on the computer chip was encoded with some DOD encryption that only Audrey has access to, and we don't yet know what it entails. Dave, pretty tight synopsis, well done.
