  1. I've had SBC Yahoo! DSL for 5 years now (well, it was pacbell fore the first two, but same thing).
  2. All I can say, is too bad I missed it. I should've been on dz.com sooner.
  3. What for? I didn't know. Don't care of specifics. Just curious and no problem if you don't want to share...only what's "common knowledge" I guess.
  4. I'm possibly interested, if I can't get my act together to buy my own in the meantime.
  5. Nearby Hotels: Holiday Inn Express Brentwood 8820 Brentwood Blvd. Brentwood-N.California, CA 94513 UNITED STATES Tel: 1-925-6346400 Fax: 1-925-6345700 http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/6c/1/en/hd/btwex http://local.google.com/maps?li=d&hl=en&q=from:Falcon+Way,+Byron,+CA+94514+to:+8820+Brentwood+Blvd,+Brentwood,+CA+94513
  6. Yeah, I know - I've jumped the first ones made as they are at one of the nearest DZs to me. I just didn't know about these air vents. Maybe they are usually closed at Davis.
  7. English girl! English! So the translation is...Carbone Zone = Food vendor that makes delicious food that has come to past boogies but not this time? I'll google them to be sure. And no one has told me where we camp out (I'm assuming from what google maps shows me, the are south of the hangar and in between the road and the runway - it looks quite large for a tent city). Tell ya what. When you get to Byron for the boogie just go to where the other tents are and put yours there. I'm sure it won't be that hard to find. Byron's pretty small. I don't know a lot about Carbone Zone other than they have a stand at the WFFC in Rantoul and make really good food and I hear good things about them. Rantoul is all the way over in Illinois. I don't think they've ever been to Byron but I could be wrong since I've only been skydiving for 3 years or so, so I don't think they've been to this boogie in the past. Any other info you need right this very second? edited to add cocky smiley tongue sticky outie guy. Thanks Chicky! You seemed to know everything, so I thought you would know this....and Iwan did answer my camping question in a succint way, so . Look forward to meeting ya.
  8. Isn't Amsterdam (& a large surrounding area)the same way? ...and Amersterdam is Flemish, AND Hurricanes don't hit the European Continent. Well, "extra tropical" morphings of them do, but they don't have storm surge and high winds.
  9. Or how about Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher? She's in her early 40's, he's about 25... Demi is 42, he is 27.
  10. I'm sorry, are we talking about the same Keanu Reeves? Yeah. The one that can freefall for 5 minutes from 4000 ft.
  11. Oh, and everyone kept farting too!!! The first time I was in the PAC, I was expecting the stewardess to offer snacks or something - it was so nice inside!
  12. That's exactly where tent city will be.. Or across the road in part of the landing area we used to set up camp, but the problem with that right now is that the ground is pretty black there.. (as you already experienced this weekend ) Yeah, getting ash on your canopy sux. Should be pretty in the spring though.
  13. [sarcasm]Isn't that your problem since you're the S&TA? [/sarcasm] Seriously, I'm sort of a guilty one wrt packing. I've jumped mine own around 15 or so times now, so feel comfortable, but my skills obviously aren't great. I can barely pack in under 30 min and my skill in getting it into the back is difficult. Haven't had even a line twist yet though! (on other peoples', different story) If I was in your area, I'd probably love to jump there and through the clouds - I've only done it a couple of times.
  14. I believe he has passed the 24k mark or thereabouts. There's also Don Kellner in east Pennsylvania at Skydive The Poconos, I think, who has about the same jump numbers as Bill, give or take a thousand... Those two are easily and by far the top two in the world. Nobody else is closer than several thousand. I heard they have a little rivalry (maybe unofficially) going for top dog....with Bill managing to stay just ahead of the Penn guy.
  15. Nah, the PAC sux. Just kidding. Didn't know about these air vents. My last couple of PAC rides were by the open door and I had to wear my goggles since I have contacts.

  17. skybytch, And what is this DZ from the past? Just curious.
  18. Hangin' with relatives at a family cabin up in the mountains near Mt. Lassen. On the way back home, I'll probably stop at Skydance for their $15 to 15K Labor day deal and do a jump or three.
  19. WTF is Carbone? I just said people have mentioned it - not necessarily for this boogie though. I think it was with respect to the boogie amenities poll. What are they talking about?
  20. I don't think that those people have any respect for him as a person or his feelings. Maybe he just wants to be held, but isn't ready to go beyond a purely emotional relationship into a lukewarm physical one. Gay. Hey, I'm ready for a lukewarm physical relationship anytime.
  21. [defiant saucy attitude] Oh, it's already happening! It't on! It's on! [/defiant saucy attitude] Back to a serious question.... So where does everyone usually campout during the boogie? I just went to google maps and it looks like south of the hangar between the road and the runway is a lot of space. So there will be food vendors? I'm thinking Thursday night for me. What is this Carbones that people have mentioned.
  22. It would still be daunting for them until they get some experience. They should get a small Sabre or something in the meantime. Dude, aren't most of your postings weird? I realize you like to jump, but didn't you say you are busy with sports as well? Go have fun with those sports in the meantime!
  23. Yeah, good idea. But the kiss is at least better than her flat out trying to rape him as others have suggested.
  24. He he.. well.. you know what? Some of the most badass boogies don't have tailgate aircraft either.. It's the people that make a boogie, cool airplanes are just extra... Hey, well since the only boogies I've been to had a Skyvan or CASA (Davis), I got expectations. Sorry. You can promise I'll be proven wrong and I'll promise I'll TRY to be proven wrong. How about that?

You're going to find Little Richard - the Queen of Rock 'n Roll. (I learned this in a sociology class.)
