  1. Ahem, that would be the Italian Swiss Alps, as it is in Ticino/Tessin (Italian/Deutsch). Why do you people keep saying Interlaken????!!!! Interlaken is just a transit point! It is all about the Lauterbrunnen area! Re: Balmers: As far as legit cultural experiences, it sucks. If you go there with the mindset that you will be staying at an American Frathouse (sprinkled in with some Aussies, Canadians and others), then it is fine.

    UU's?

    Isn't everyone?
  3. I'm jumping an old Sabre 150 (Mfg Date 3/91) with 1000+ jumps. I've been standard Pro Packing it while rolling the nose and my openings (all 25 or so jumps so far) have been cool - no slammers. Two comments/questions: 1) Since I've only jumped my own pack job around 15-20 times (yeah, I procrastinated learning since it sucks) and I'm sure my nose rolling wasn't the tightest several times, has the wear maybe tamed the Sabre? Just a thought. 2) I have scoliosis, so my back sux and hurts when just standing still for a while. How do you position your canopy while rolling the nose? So far I've just held the it up by the lines with one hand, grab 4 cells of one side, roll, then switch hands and repeat. I love it when there are hooks available to hang the canopy by the lines, but I don't get the opportunity to get spoiled by this often. Thanks.
  4. DEFINITE MUST SEE!!!! THE LAUTERBRUNNEN VALLEY IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL IN THE WORLD. IT IS WHERE JAMES BOND "ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE" WAS FILMED. IT IS A SHORT TRAIN RIDE FROM INTERLAKEN. INTERLAKEN ITSELF ISN'T MUCH (JUST A GATEWAY TO THE ACTION), BUT NEXT TO THE BETTER VALLEY. OK. Back to non-shouting.
  5. Those rock. Thanks for the reminder.
  6. Like we need more..... I got 3 and hafta go home now.
  7. Listen to the wise lady... Wendy, you sound cool. Sorry you're not coming to Byron.
  8. Oh you know it. At the Fri night dinner at American Boogie 2005, this chick food server (probably one of the caterers) got all bitchy about me trying to get an actual good slice of meat. When I got to the meat at the end, there were only a couple fatty pieces/scraps left. Instead of holding up the line waiting for more, I sat down and started to eat...at a table 5 feet away. I see her bring more out and get the treatment (after begging) like she did some special favor for me. But I digress.... BOOGIE! BOOGIE! BOOGIE!
  9. Are you guys saying that if you wear contacts, the Oxygen (and Mamba and Z1 as well?) are fine WITHOUT goggles? That would be great to not have to wear them with a helmet.
  10. He buddy, here in the states we call it 'gas', not this 'petrol' stuff.
  11. Geico and Progressive don't have agents - they're direct marketers. They have Customer Service reps instead.
  12. I did my first Horny Gorilla exit on Monday, but there was only two of us. How do you lock legs with more people?
  13. Thursday - Afternoonish to eve (depending if someone tries to oppress me at work and not let me leave around 2 pm).
  14. I'm a carnivore, but do appreciate some local grown organic veggies. Me too.
  15. vaguely similar to mine.... Was in a Paris trainstation with my (former) foster parents (long story - I have 3 moms and 2 dads). We were looking at train times to visit Givirny, but didn't go. We talk to a group of young people and tell them we're from NorCal. I tell this one girl with a German accent that actually, I'm from Santa Barbara, Goleta to be precise. She says she knows where that is. I think, WTF! No one south of SLO knows where Goleta is even though the UCSB and the airport are there. I tell her where I went to High School and if she knew anyone there. She named a brother and sister I've been acquainted with since Elementary school. It turns out that she is best friends with their cousin. More recently, during a firedrill at work (corporate HQ, 2500 people), I talk to a person who I find out is the niece of my wrestling coach from High School. Keep in mind that this is NorCal and High School is in SoCal.
  16. sex/anything else you want to mention or not:jumps:#beers owed

  18. No, but please don't have too few Small and Mediums.
  19. 1st - 1980 Datsun B-210. Stick shift. Gutless and piece of crap. Only paid $600 though and it drove at least. 2nd - 1983 Volvo 240 Turbo. Felt like a Sportscar in comparison to the B210 powerwise and handling isn't bad. Also a stick. 3rd - 1997 Volvo 850 GLT. Almost a sportscar. 190 HP, 5 cyl inline engine was automatic, but had sport, economy and winter modes. Maroon w/ Black leather interior, moon & sunroofs, dual climate control, decent sound system. I did 130 along the Columbia river gorge once and it could've tached out at 140 if I really tried (I don't know if I've even freeflown much faster considering that I can barely get into a sit/stand). Unfortunately, I rearended a small pickup in commute traffic which totaled it. (Insert cryint emoticon.) 4th and current - 1993 Volvo 940 Turbo. VERY low miles and bought with settlement check. Still had
  20. Phew! It had been, like, a bunch of days since the last bump.
  21. You forgot D: I have neighbors?/Never met or don't know them
  22. Regarding claws: I clip my boys' regularly. To get them used to it, massage their paws so they are comfortable with you touching their paws. You can use a regular fingernail clipper, but don't cut them that far - don't get the pink part (the "quick") or they will start to bleed. You need to have the cat in a docile mood (e.g. half asleep). It won't happen if they are in a playful mood.
  23. I saw her get ri.....I guess that was the tube jump.
