    If I'm not mistaken, the final GSL meet will be taking place that same weekend (Saturday Oct. 13th) at the Farm. So if becoming a Muff Brother and $18 jumps are not enough incentive, come out and compete! I'm sure there will be pick-up teams... I plan to be there!     I TOTALLY agree! People tend to disperse after hours at the DZs around here, to their campers or wherever. I always liked a nice central place to hang out after jumping at some other dropzones. Maybe that's why I don't tend to stay at the DZ as much as I used to. But I usually DO enjoy an adult beverage after a day of jumping.

    A while back I was in Costa Rica with some friends, we were staying in this pretty nice hotel, and they have this nice hot tub on the roof, open air with rocks set around it. So we get in and it didn't seem funky at all, nice and hot. Only when I get back to ATL does Jello J tell me that roof top hot tub is a well known spot where people get it on with prostitutes. He then says, "Wait...you didn't actually get IN that hot tub did you?!?!?!" I generally avoid hotel/public hot tubs these days. I'd prefer a nice hot bubble bath in my own CLEAN bathtub.

    I'm doing okay with the names/families/storyline so far, although there are A LOT of repetitive names through the generations! Seems to be getting more complicated the farther into it I get. I'm about halfway through, so I'll let you know what I think when I finish. Haven't read Love in the Time of Cholera yet, have to put it on my list. And Krisanne, that article is awesome!     Wow, Krisanne you have been busy reading!!! I seem to have slacked off lately. What is this article in the newspaper that JohnMitchell mentioned?? I'd love to read that! Anyway, this summer I re-read all the Harry Potter books in anticipation of #7. Lately I've been spending some time with the SIM and IRM to get my coaches rating. Last book I read was Life of Pi by Yann Martel, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Currently reading One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Next up is probably House of Sand and Fog by Andre Dubus III. Now that I think about it, that sounds like a list straight out of Oprah's book club. I think I need to expand my horizons.     I really really hope that's not on top of a $70 deposit also. If not...rock on, that's freakin' cheap! My thinking is they did this to compete with the $139 tandem special weekends that happen across the street once a month. Which actually ARE $139.
