  1. Just imagine PsychoBob and PsychoPatty in those roles...I don't know if that makes it better or worse. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091

OH WOW!!!! NWFLYER LOVES ME (and everyone else in the Bonfire)!!!!! My life is complete!
  3. I just watched this fabulous movie about the daring and dangerous world of Air Traffic Control last night. And I couldn't help thinking about my 2 favorite post whoring Air Traffic Controllers...PsychoBob and JohnMitchell. I can just envision them fighting it out in the control room, then getting together and standing on the runway while a jet is landing and getting blown about like rag dolls...."In order to gain control you have to lose control"! LMAO! Too bad it'll never happen....PsychoBob works in the ATCT and JohnMitchell works in the TRACON. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  4. I'm curious too. I know there have been a lot of DZ politics up in that area lately, with so many DZ's around and Kip running the newest one. But I haven't actually seen or heard of anything that would cause Kip to resign his position. Has this been discussed in the forums before? If so, where? Ahhhh, but this number is only meaningful TODAY. It won't be meaningful to Krisanne tomorrow. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091

  7. I was sheltered too, I voted they NEVER did, but I guess technically the answer is 17 when I went off to college. I can't remember a time when they left us alone overnight, I think they trusted me but it was my younger brothers they were worried about. Plus my youngest brother was 9 years younger than me. So my grandparents always came to stay over if my parents weren't there. I did start babysitting at age 12 or so though, and they would leave us home alone for a while, just not overnight. 8. I was wondering who they were referring to there? Was Mullins ever the Southern RD? But he's a National Director now, not sure what he was in '05. And not sure when he became a Group Member. Also, who was the president of the EC in '05? Was it Glenn Bangs or someone else? I don't remember, being pretty new to the sport. 9. Be Rude Not To!!! I'm sure J won't mind asking politely for them to postpone starting the meetings until Team 'Licious arrives.
  10. But how many people will actually bother to find out this information?? I bet most people will just throw them away in the garbage. So yeah, these bulbs may be more energy efficient but not necessarily more environmentally friendly. Unless people actually do recycle them. 11. My grandfather (who is well qualified to speak on the matter) said that because of the mercury in the CFL bulbs, they actually CAN'T (or at least shouldn't) be thrown in the regular trash. I think it might even be illegal, not that most people will even be aware of this. He said they're going to have to develop some way to dispose of all these "environmentally friendly" light bulbs. 12. GEE, wonder which list I'm on? Don't feel bad, I'm on the same list you are. Can't wait to see the pages! Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  13. I hooked up my brand new Pilot 168 myself, at the DZ, with a little help from a rigger. It sure helped that they have the contraption to hang the canopy up and check the lines. It was pretty easy. But I sure had it checked over by a rigger after I hooked it up. It was a good experience for me, took some time, but I feel like I know more about my canopy and how everything is connected. 14. Thanks for posting all that! I just printed it all out, double sided and it's a lot of paper! Good thing I like to read, I have it cut out for me in this case. Going home for the night to get me some lawsuit edumacation..... Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  15. I own a Mirage G4, manufactured in '02. I love it! I bought it used, it had about 100 jumps on it, and I've put about 400 on it. Mine never formed the infamous wrinkle, but I have had a rigger complain about packing the reserve. I think it's very comfortable, more comfortable than any other rig I've jumped (not that I've jumped that many other rigs, but I have jumped an Infinity and a Javelin). I've had to put new leg strap pads on it due to bad landings (on pavement ), but otherwise it's held up great! There is some fading on the neon green colors where it's been exposed and I do take good care of it, don't leave it in the sun or car or anything. It *does* seem a little bulky, but I thought that was more due to the 193 reserve and 170 main I have in it. I've never had any flaps come open before they were supposed to or anything. I'd recommend it, but I'd also recommend trying on different rigs and see which fit YOU like best, as everyone is different. 16. I'd call that selfish. I do think suicide is ulitmately a selfish act, both the threat of it and the action. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  17. Nope, that's excellent for a Post Whore!!! Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  18. I don't think it's measured in time spent on here, I think your post number to jump number ratio is way more important. You have relatively few jumps, so getting your ratio up should be easy!!! Just keep posting!!! The day my post #'s caught up to my jump numbers was a defining moment in my life. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  19. You just start POSTING! And it helps once you start meeting people too. I know a bunch of big-time post whores will be in attendance at SkyFest. Make sure you introduce yourself by your DZ.com name. Maybe even wear a t-shirt or something. Oh, yeah, and an avatar is essential. Get a computer savvy friend to help you resize a good pic. Otherwise people will never take you seriously. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  20. Or at least an increase in the diagnosis of depression, if not the actual incidence. Maybe once depression lost some of its stigma and a treatment was available people were more willing to seek help and be diagnosed as depressed?? Good point about what is considered a mental illness being subject to change. I did know that homosexuality was considered a mental illness in the not-so-distant past, but hadn't considered that in the context of this discussion. 21. Aren't the majority of people who are mentally ill a mild to moderate case? I would venture a guess that mild to moderate cases of mental illness are waaaay more prevalent than people with a full blown mental illness who can't function in society. 22. This statement really bothers me at a deep, personal level. I know it shouldn't, seeing how this is the Bonfire and all, and I wasn't going to reply to it, but I just can't help it. I have been "lucky" enough to only have had one person I was close with commit suicide...and SHE succeed on her first attempt. She didn't actually die until several days later, at the hospital, but never woke up from her coma and was brain dead from the time she was found. From your vantage point you probably would have classified her as "unsuccessful". From my vantage point, she sure did it "right", even though she did not use a gun. She did not want attention. She was not stupid. She was sick, and I would give anything for the chance to have at least tried to help her. Maybe she would have attempted again, but we'll never know. I know this is only one example, and it might be statistically unusual, but making broad generalizations about people who commit or attempt suicide is pretty ignorant. 23. Once again, aweseome, AWESOME job Kyle. Thank you for stepping up to the plate and doing this. That patch is excellent, captures Lee perfectly, IMHO. And the stickers are pretty nifty too. Can't wait to pick some up at the Farm when they become available! Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  24. I would absolutely consider the doctor as an insider. "Individual decision" meaning between the couple, based on the details of their pregnancy and their doctor's opinion/input. Obviously, many women have jumped while pregnant and their babies were fine. I have yet to hear of any examples where a woman lost a baby due to skydiving. Anyone know of any cases where a pregnant skydiver has miscarried and the cause was attributed to jumping while pregnant? 25. Maybe because they knew Kris would find and take care of him. Maybe because it was easier than doing the right thing. Who knows what they were thinking?? I sure don't understand it. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
