I agree with Kitty. Going to the board meetings and talking to directors is very illuminating. There's one problem with reading the meeting minutes instead of actually being there (or watching them on-line since DSE was so kind to video and post the meetings on Friday). I have read previous meeting minutes, and I don't think it says who voted for or against what motions. Only the number (ie. "Motion to call the meeting to order passed 19-0"). So short of being there in person or watching the video, you really can't tell who voted for what. And I don't think anyone on here is going to post a list of names who they think are the "squeaking wheels" (besides maybe BillyVance ). Posts made here can, and have been re-quoted in lawsuits. Do some research and decide for yourself where you think the problems lie. Talk to the people you trust who have been to the meetings to get their impressions. Talk to your directors. Watch the meetings on-line. I also agree with Thanatos340, we all need to see who is on the ballot for the next election before making an educated decision on who to vote (or not vote) for. B.J. was also a National Director first, before he was elected by the Board to his position on the Executive Committee. So, he would need to be re-voted into office as a Director before he could be Chairman of the Board (or President). This applies to everyone on the Executive Committee. The Executive Director (Ed Scott) is appointed by the Executive Committee (with input from the full Board), not voted in by the general membership, and is a paid position. The full-time USPA staff is then hired by Ed Scott. The full time USPA staff (the Executive Director and his hired staff) are not on the Board of Directors, and therefore are not voted into office. Even though I was at the meeting I still missed a lot of what was actually happening with that, and I had no idea as to the background of this issue. I hope I speak for all the pot-stirrers who have nothing better to do than post on internet forums when I say that we sure do appreciate such accurate and detailed information coming from one of our directors.

Well, I hope you made it home okay! I was much more satisfied with how the process went Sunday. I didn't get to see the end of the meeting, as I had to leave at 2, but Sunday was much more interesting (on my part) than Friday.
