Watching them on YouTube right now. Just watched Grandpa. I still don't get why he's still around, I've never thought he was any good. I think he just gets votes for his accent. I'll get back to you and let you know my predictions... Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091

LMAO, I don't even remember the "We're not drunk" picture being taken. I should have known better than to drink so much Psycho Punch. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091

There are A LOT of ways to pack a canopy, and it took me a long time to develop my own way, from a combination of lots of different methods I picked up from various people. If you see someone packing a way you're not familiar with ask them to show you what they're doing. I didn't really establish my method of packing until I had about 250 jumps or so, so it took a while of struggling with it for me but I dislike using packers so I'm glad I finally found something that works. I personally put the slider behind my neck to get it out of the way while I'm flaking. Then I put the seperate line sets over each shoulder so I'm basically standing in the middle of the canopy looking down at it. Flake one side at a time. This is difficult to explain in words, it would be much easier if someone you know packs this way and could show you. Also, something else that helps is color coding the tabs (where they meet the canopy fabric) of each set of lines (ie. all A lines red, B lines blue, etc.). My Pilot came from the factory like this, and I'm not sure what (if any) negative effect coloring the tabs yourself would have, so maybe ask your rigger before doing this. I also Psycho Pack. I really really struggled with getting my canopy in the bag before I learned how to psycho pack. Now I have no trouble at all, even with brand new ZP fabric. Good openings too. You just really have to find out what works best for you. Good luck!

You obviously need to go to alcohol fruit school. There's a school for that??? Are you the teacher? I'll do your recurrency jump with you (fellow coach ) if you teach me about alcohol fruit! Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091 -
This is a great thread and I'm finding out there are A LOT of books I should check out! I opened this thread with the intention of listing my all-time favorite series, Lord of the Rings, but it was taken care of in the 1st post. I also love Harry Potter and the Dark Tower series. The only addition I can think of to add to the list is A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. I listened to the whole series as books on tape, and even though they are made for kids I just loved them. Some of the audiobooks are read by Tim Curry and they're just fantastic. I also enjoyed the Golden Compass (1st book in His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman) as an audiobook, although I haven't gotten to the other 2 books yet. Yeah, it probably wouldn't exist at all, would likely be struck from the menu entirely. Then McDonalds could say they tried to offer a healthy alternative, but no one was buying it. It is an interesting phenomenon. Has anyone else read Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver? I just got done with it and it's a very interesting read. Today is kind of rough, it's hard not to think about what happened to 2 of my mentors one year ago today. I miss you both and I know there was still so much I had to learn from you. I was told yesterday that I'm an excellent skydiver by an excellent skydiver, and I'd like to think that both of you would be proud of me. Danny and Bob, you both helped me to be a better skydiver and I'm still trying to improve on what you've taught me. Fly free, my friends. I think about you guys all the time, on every jump I make, and as my skills improve and I gain more confidence. You are both missed. Well, crap, guess I don't know how to make them! Guess I better leave that kind of stuff to the professionals. I swear, I thought they were in vodka. Must have been too buzzed to know what I was drinking. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091 -
I didn't see Spence jumping, he was busy running manifest. But I made 4 great jumps yesterday, it was a beautiful day!!! Thanks for putting this on Spence, even though it was a way different feel from the past few years at Dublin it was still great to have a low-key weekend with friends both new and old. I'm thinking of pineapple flavored rum. Because once the pineapples are eaten we use the pineapple vodka to make drinks. And I think I might like pineapple rum better. Maybe Mic can use vodka and I can use rum and we can have a taste test. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091 -
I find it odd that he never looks up at his canopy. Obviously something is open above him to put him in a spin like that. Although if it was severe line twists his head could have been pinned down or he might not have been able to look up due to the violent spin. I don't know, never been in a spin like that. Plus the no cutaway thing seems odd but it could have been an SOS rig or a total main mal, although again there was no looking over his shoulder to try and clear a PC in tow or see what his main was doing. Just my $.02 Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091

Yes. Pineapples canned in vodka to be exact. Yummy AND potent. Although I wonder how they would taste if rum was used instead.... Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091 -

It's with a sad heart that I'm updating this list. Clark (iopenhi) has just informed me that Stunning Bob was killed last night in a motorcycle accident. Stunning Bob was at the boogie last year, with George, Clark, and their pet Michelle, but not jumping due to recently installed hardware in his leg. I don't have a picture, but if I get one I'll post it. Blue skies, Stunning Bob. {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to my friends at Skydive Tampa Bay. Hope to see you guys soon. That was the 1st patch I decided to put on my jumpsuits, and now I've gone a little crazy with them. Guess I'll get to add Lee's patch when it's available. I heard that on the radio this morning too. She was on there so long her skin grew around the seat and it was stuck to her! They had to take the seat off the toilet and they removed it from her at the hospital. There sure are some strange people out there. Is it just me, or does this seem to indicate that the data is skewed to anyone else??? The girls are apparently 14-18. Most adolescent girls don't see an OBGYN (and therefore have swabs done) UNLESS they are sexually active or have some type of problem. I *think* the recommended age to start seeing an OBGYN is 26, or upon becoming sexually active. I know there are other reasons to start going to an OBGYN, but just based on this I wouldn't really trust this sample popluation as being indicative of the entire US population. I don't know though, maybe the girls who participated just had swabs done specifically for the study. If that's the case I'd question where they got the girls who participated and if they're truly representative of the entire US population. Maybe it is valid. If so, that's pretty scary.
