  1. Oh yeah. Although Bo had long hair, he's not the grunge rocker type. I don't get Michael Johns. Maybe the accent is what's keeping him around? I've never liked any of his performances, even when the judges have. Then again, I haven't voted since whatever season Carrie and Bo were on so I guess I can't complain about who the finalists are. 2. I doubt Bad Hair Emo Boy will make it into the final 3. Why? Rockers usually don't do well on this show, the AI viewers don't tend to be their fan base. Look at Chris Daughtry. He's one of the most successful artists (on the scale of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood) to come out of Idol but he placed 4th his season. I can't think of a single season that had a rocker in the top 3, although I could be mistaken about that. Never underestimate the power of the "cute boy". Look how far Sanjaya made it on no vocal talent. David Archuleta has the talent AND I'm sure he appeals to the teeny bopper girls (and their moms), although I'm not yet convinced he can do much beyond ballads. I like Brooke, but I agree she needs to eat a sammich. Or 10. Not sure who will make the top 3, 1 bad performance can get someone voted out. But right now my bet would be on Carly, David A., and either Chekezie or Brooke. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  3. Did you all know that you can REGISTER at REI too?? If I ever get married, that's where I'm registering! Screw sheets and towels, i want some camping gear! I might pick Amazon.com for the shopping spree. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  4. Welllllll, based on Katie's recommendation of tent camping and good review of the shower facilities, I'm adding myself to the list!!! And because I want to see Kevin and check out Raeford of course. Oh, and the opportunity to do Big Ways helps too.
  5. Good. You'll be back in time to help me move! J/k, life in the ATL hasn't been the same without you around. We need more yardhippies!!! Or at least we need the original one back. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  6. I think that's awesome, way to go Christy!!! I met Christy (without really realizing who she was) when my BF and I went to the Perris tunnel over Thanksgiving. I was in there, working on my centerpoint turns just looking at my reflection and all of a sudden she's squatting down in my line of site and "coaching" me on my movements. When I got out I thanked her and talked to her for a little bit...she was super friendly and totally down to earth. Our sport could ALWAYS use more people like Christy. Congrats girl!!! 7. Soooo.... what are the facilities at Raeford like? Are there showers available at the DZ? Can I tent camp or should I look into getting a hotel? I'll probably add my name to the list sometime later today. Another Team Licious member might be adding their name to the list as well.
  8. Awesome, thanks for the info! Will that be one of the s I will be bringing as payment for forgetting my Muff number??? Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  9. Yeah, I'll bring plenty of that alabama perfume. And I'll probably still tent camp. Just trying to paraphrase that long rambling description of the GA swamp. Hey, John wants to know if he'll be "allowed" to do hop and pops at the boogie. He just got a new line set and wants to do some H&P's before taking them to terminal. 10. Me too!!! those GS cookies are ALL OVER my office. They're worse than crack! At least, I have always had self-restraint when it comes to crack. I'm holding 1/2 a box of PB ones at my desk because my co-worker ate an entire box by himself earlier today and he doesn't want the open box sitting on his desk, because he'll just eat it all. I have been exercising though. I was on the elliptical orbitor for 45 minutes over lunch, then did crunches. Walked yesterday. Tae Bo tomorrow. But those GS cookies are counter-acting my workouts! 11. So you're saying I should plan on getting a hotel instead of tent camping. Thanks for the info. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  12. I was wondering when you were going to break down and post your awesome come-back. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  13. I haven't, but one of my best friends from college did it and I visited him for a month while he was in Tanzania with them. He really enjoyed the experience, but it does involve some roughing it. I can put you in touch with him if you want, just let me know! 14. Very nice article Hans! that's awesome! I especially liked how you explained the canopy ride... "seven to eight minutes gliding with the chute." I'm going to PM you about that order you're placing. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  15. Is this thread a "personal attack"? I think I have been guilty of using said "quotation marks" on occasion. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  16. Yeah, nice photoshop job HP! I refuse to believe that futuredivot really skydives, as I have never actually seen him jump yet I have been to countless boogies with him. He tried to get me to believe he was going on Bolas's 900th jump one time, but I think he faked the whole thing. 17. So if you never break anything that keeps you from jumping does that mean you're not a true skydiver??? Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  18. Just out of curiosity, does Vskydiver use real leather for the bottom of the booties or the cheaper stuff that all the other manufacturers seem to use? Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  19. Okay, here you go... According to the Anritsu Site Master Handbook, insertion loss is, "A measure of how much smaller the output signal of a passive device is with respect to the input signal. It is measured in decibels." sounds way more dirty than connectorizing to me! Anyway, sorry to hijack a perfectly good job seeking thread with all these geeky terms. I know you didn't really want to know what connectorized means. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  20. It means I put various types of connectors on various types of cables as part of our equipment tune up. Some DB connectors on control cables, and some RJ-45 connectors on computer cable, but mostly N-type connectors on RF cables. So yeah, it's an enginerd term. Is that even a word???? I like it. "Installed connectors" doesn't really work, because it's not so much an installation. "Applied connectors" doesn't work either. "Put connectors on" doesn't sound professional. "Assembled connectors" *might* work but that sounds weird too. "Connectorized" is much better sounding; descriptive, brief, and to the point. Everyone reading my weekly reports knew what I meant. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  21. What's wrong with made up words while applying for a job?????? One of my favorite words that I WISH I could use on my resume is "connectorized". I used to use that word all the time in my weekly reports when I was still in the field. But I didn't use it in my resume, and I just got the new job I wanted so I guess that method worked. Wonder if I would have been disqualified if I HAD used it.
  22. Don't even worry about it, the Roaming DZ crew is a very friendly bunch of people. You won't be jumping alone, that's for sure. I showed up to my 1st Roaming DZ event by myself (well, I guess I knew PsychoBob) and I am so so glad I went. It's a great way to get out and meet different people.
  23. Does anyone know the details of the Easter night jumps?? Are there sign-ups or anything? I am really interested in that, as I need night jumps for my D license and I'm coming closer to my 500 jumps. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
  24. WHAT?!?! I'll probably be there too, but the following weekend, the Saturday before Easter (I'll be in the area anyway doing relative work). Guess I'll miss ya. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
