Some weirdo who's had 5(?) reserve rides within the past 8 months or so, in 4 different states apparently. I think it's his body position, he always says it's spinning line twists. I agree, he needs some packing lessons BAD!!! I've had recurring dreams about Bolas going in. It's starting to freak me out. First dream was that he went in at the FloraBama with a PC-in-tow on his reserve. Crashed through the roof of a building. Then, just last night, I had another dream that he went in. I was driving across this bridge and there was a whole bunch of wingsuiters and he was one of them, and most were above me but Bolas flew his wingsuit under the bridge (which I thought was pretty stupid). They all looked like they were going to land their wingsuits without deploying to me. Shades of Jeb Corliss I suppose. Then I found out everyone else was fine, but Bolas had gone in because he chopped his main at 700' for no reason and didn't deploy his reserve. Also, there was something about him turning his cypres on while he was under his main canopy. Weird weird weird. Bolas. Stop having mals, you're interfering with my sleep. Not so sure about Raeford being the same distance from Raleigh as CSS but it's probably close to the same distance from Greensboro or Winston Salem. I didn't get to jump at Raeford the only time I've been there (last weekend) b/c it was cloudy but... Seems like a great DZ with good people, PLUS they have an awesome wind tunnel! I agree. Coach requirements are too low. Having to pay 100-jump wonders to "coach" me when they weren't anywhere near me on the skydive and didn't teach me anything really made me feel lost after AFF. I quit jumping for 11 months at 17 jumps, and a lot of it had to do with lousy coaching. Luckily I went to a new DZ that had a more structured program and got back into it. I finally felt ready to get my coach rating at around 275 jumps. I also think the AFF requirements are too low. I am eligible right now, but don't feel that I am anywhere near ready to go for my AFFI rating. Some people might be ready at 100 jumps to be a coach or at 6 hours of freefall to be an AFFI.
