  1. I re-drilled the L-bracket... the other option is mounting the still upside-down. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
  2. I had to lower my L-bracket... drilling another hole is not a big deal. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
  3. Depends on the subject, or the intended use... Landscape works better for RW, Portrait better for CRW... the ideal set-up allows you to change it for whatever your are shooting... On my set-up, my primary camera is set up Landscape, my second camera is Portrait... the primary can also be switched to Portrait if there is a need. As to the intended use... for magazines like Parachutist, covers need Portrait layouts, centerfolds need Landscape... 4. I thought you were talking about a football helmet type cup/strap... if not, bonehead composites makes a nice one. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
  5. I don't know about online, but with football season coming you should be able to find one at WalMart, or a sporting goods store. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
  6. I aslo find it interesting that anti-gunners say that these guns were designed for the military to kill people... the AR-15 was designed by a civilian, and originally marketed to civilians as a sport rifle... it was later adopted by the Air Force, then by the Army. 8. Since you bumped it, I'll throw out a question for the group... A photographer follows a team out to snap a few shots, they come out pretty good. The team likes them, and asks if they can send them in to their sponsor. The photographer says sure, but if they (the sponor) want to use them for anything they need to talk to the photographer first. A few months go by and the photo shows up in an ad for said sponsor, with no prior consent from the photographer... The sponsor and photographer have a conversation, followed by several emails, to which there have been no response... the ad is still running. What does the photographer do? attack choppers

Just curious, Super Cobra and Apache both carry Hellfires and 2.75s... Cobra has a 20mm, Apache a 30mm... what is so different in terms of capability that the Apache could not replace it? Also, do any Army units still have Cobras? They were being transitioned out of the active forces something like 7 years ago, or did something change. They have in the past... but I doubt they would in this case... IF they replace the Cobra with anything, it would be an Apache... J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
  12. Not as an HK-94... but there is at least one US manufacturer that is making a copy of it... www.vulcanarmament.com J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

  14. Lend Lease was a way to keep the economy moving... Protecting our merchant vessles is what we are supposed to do with the Navy... The Flying Tigers and Eagle squadrons were volenteers... we were not going to enter the war as a nation, that is until PH happened... our head was in the sand, and we liked it that way... we'll send you guns, but no troops... war in Europe, not our problem. War in China, not our problem... Isolationism. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
  15. We stayed out of WWII (in a direct sense) for 4 years, and did not enter the war until attacked... I'd call that pretty isolationist. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

  17. We really didn't have an intellignece community in those days, at leat not in today's sense... we were quite the isolationists then. It was all through diplomatic channels. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
  18. You're right, that is not why the US went to war in Europe... Hitler declared war on the US right after PH... had he not done that, the US may have been satisfied with only fighting Japan...at least for a few more years... And the US did not really know about the consentration camps until they came across them while pushing into Germany. 20. Let's see... People who jump blindly from the plane when the green light goes on... without need to looking under the aircraft for traffic and confirming that you are at least in the vicinity of the DZ/correct spot. People who think GPS is infallible, and don't bother to look, or pilots who won't take corrections to avoid big clouds when there is a big hole 5-10^ to the right. People who bitch about how bad it is at the dropzone, but still show up. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

    If.....

I'm not saying that Cheney would be good as the DCI, but he was the SecDef from 89-93... the DoD is part of the Intel community... so to say ZERO experiance is a bit of an exageration, IMO... add to that that the DCI is a political appointment, experiance is not alway the driving factor. And in the case of CIA, a fresh set of eyes may be a good thing. To really make CIA free of political influence, you need to make the DCI position similar to the Director of the FBI, or Chairman of the FED... once appointed, you serve a given term that does not necessarily coincide with the change of administraions. If.....

I don't think Powell would accept it, McCain is too much of a rebel, Rice isn't ready... so that leaves the G-man.

  24. There is nothing about the system it self that forces it to be two party... I think it is the inherent laziness of the American people... it is the dumbing down of democratic process so the people who will not take the time to learn about issues that affect them can participate... the Democrates and Republicans have just done the best jobs of wooing people... and since those parties are so big, people who would otherwise go to a third party don't, because they want their vote to "count" for at least a vote against the "worst evil". The people have given the power to the two big parties. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
  25.
