Rioting over the zimmerman case should be an embarrasment to blacks
regulator replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
Fearing for their lives after receiving "an enormous amount of death threats," George Zimmerman's parents have remained in hiding since a Florida jury cleared their son of murder charges in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, they told ABC News. The Zimmermans told ABC they are too afraid to return to their Orlando home, and they haven't even spoken to their son, who also is in hiding. "Under the circumstances, we have not been able to talk to him," Gladys Zimmerman told ABC's Barbara Walters. "To tell you the truth, we don't trust anything, not even the phones." "We have had an enormous amount of death threats. George's legal counsel has had death threats, the police chief of Sanford, many people have had death threats," Robert Zimmerman said. "'Everyone with Georgie's DNA should be killed' — Just every kind of horrible thing you can imagine." George Zimmerman lives off small stipends from his legal defense fund and is unemployed and without health insurance, Gladys Zimmerman said. Asked if he can ever have a normal life again, she said, "Only time will tell." "Even for us, we have not been living a normal life for the past months. It is hard," she said. "We have lost everything, everything — the whole family, not only George. The whole family. We have lost everything." After deliberating for 16 hours, a jury of six women late Saturday found Zimmerman not guilty of second-degree murder, sparking a wave of protests across the nation. Gladys Zimmerman called the demonstrations "hurtful." "This is America, and we went through all of this with the judicial system," Gladys Zimmerman said. "They wanted an arrest for my son. They got an arrest. Now let's, you know, find a verdict ... now they have a verdict. ... He went through the whole process they were pushing for, and now they are not happy with the verdict, and I pray. I pray for them, for God to touch their heart." Zimmerman's parents continued to defend him against charges that he is a racist or that he initially approached Martin while on a community patrol because the teenager was black. "He's never been taught to be a racist," Robert Zimmerman said. "Color is the last thing to come to his mind." "When George first saw Trayvon Martin he had no idea what color he was," he added. "He knew he was inside a gated community. He didn't recognize him as living there. It was raining. He was just casually walking very slowly. But George did not initially know what race a person was." He said the decision to bring charges against his son was based on politics rather than the facts. "I never thought that we would see so much hatred, and the hatred is not brought on by any racial incident," Robert Zimmerman said. "It was brought on by attorneys being totally untruthful, other people being involved, having a certain narrative, having a certain agenda, and making this situation race-based and a political issue." Asked what they would say to Martin's family, Gladys Zimmerman said, "We are deeply sorry for this tragedy. "We pray for Trayvon Martin to be in a better place," she said. "He is always in our prayers." http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/zimmerman-parents-death-threats/2013/07/16/id/515324?s=al&promo_code=1430E-1 -

Rioting over the zimmerman case should be an embarrasment to blacks

Unfortunately, far too many black Liberals are waiting to riot, hoping for the opportunity — like it’s a sale day at Macy’s. Obama did promise hope. Neither white people nor Latinos will riot, if Zimmerman is convicted. They have better things to do. Apparently many black people have nothing better to do. It’s not necessarily the fault of black Liberals for being so stupid. The Democrats insured this level of absurdity. The idea that one case of a black teen being killed in some obscure town in America and we are back in the racially charged ‘60s. It goes to show you that the more things change, the more they stay the same. Democrats have all but insured the black Liberal derangement: black Liberals behaving like Pavlov’s dogs, salivating at the ringing of the bell of racism. The ease with which Democrats and their operatives can so easily play black people is what should make America afraid. To get a race of people to riot over a case of an overzealous neighborhood watchman shooting and killing a teen who attacked him takes some doing. If you remove the race elements from this story, black people would have as much interest in this case as they would reruns of The Lawrence Welk Show. Yet here we are. The Zimmerman case front and center—a 21st Century OJ trial, except this one black people want the defendant declared guilty. Thousands of black teens have been murdered since Martin’s death, yet Liberals have chosen to fixate on Martin’s death? Black Liberals should ask themselves why they have disproportionate emotion in this case versus the thousands of others. Recall the young girl, Hadiya Pendleton who had visited with Obama at the White House, then two weeks later was unceremoniously gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Chicago? If only her murderer had been Zimmerman! However, since her killer was likely black, there were no t-shirts with her face printed on them. Nor the almost countless other nameless, faceless black youth who are now just as dead as Trayvon Martin. Do their families not grieve? Do their deaths not demand justice? Don’t expect the great uniter to showcase leadership in the Zimmerman case. Obama will allow the racist attitudes of Liberals to flourish. That is the glue that binds him to black people, a group to whom he has shown little, real concern. Luckily for him, black people only care about Obama’s blackness. It’s difficult to fathom that blacks have fought so hard against racism, only to become the most racist people in the country. Black Liberals don’t care about justice for Zimmerman, because he is the wrong color. Truth be told, if Zimmerman were black, this case would be over and he would be a free man. I didn't realize that until just recently. For the past 15+ years I've either bought new or barely used with very low milage. I've been looking to get a used pickup truck for the past few weeks...anything 5 years old has 100,000 plus on it and they seem to be just getting broken in! ---------------------------------------------------- I have a 2008 Honda Accord with 139,000 miles on it.

Yeah right According to a new report by the nonpartisan Government Accountability Institute (GAI), President Barack Obama has spent over twice as many hours on vacation and golf (976 hours) as he has in economic meetings of any kind (474.4 hours). http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/04/28/REPORT-Obama-Spent-Twice-As-Much-Time-On-Vacation-Golf-As-On-Economy

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/career_criminal_identified_as_shooter_U03Y4u6WxboBpfp1uLGsrO Andrea Rebello was accidentally shot in the head while career criminal Dalton Smith had her in a headlock and used her as a human shield while trying to escape out the back door, Det. Lt. John Azzata said. Nassau County Police Department Dalton Smith, a parole escapee, has been identified by police as the perpetator in the Hofstra home invasion. The unidentified cop fired eight rounds, seven of which struck and killed Smith, and one of which hit Rebello, he said. Smith was wielding a 9mm pistol with a bullet in the chamber and another in the magazine, Azzata said. But he never got off a shot during the deadly violence early Friday morning inside Rebello's off-campus house in Uniondale, said police. The cop who got off the shots was described only as a 12-plus year veteran of the Nassau County Police Department who earlier served more than seven years with the NYPD. ----------------------------------------------------------- One cop fired 8 rounds...7 striking the subject and one striking and killing victim. I'm sorry but 8 rounds from one cop for one perp is serious overkill. And that one extra round ended someone elses life. -

So you think a thread that is titled " Sure hope you don't want the cops to save your life" is flattering to police after a cop shoots and kills a hostage? Perhaps if the story was about a home invasion robbery that resulted in the murder of the residents, due to the police unable to respond, you might have a point. If there was a thread that was titled "Sure hope you don't want the firefighter to save your life" after a firefighter dropped a person off a ladder from 10 stories up, do you think people would think you are pro FD or anti FD? --------------------------------------------------------- Which is exactly what I was talking about...reading comprehension. If you read all of the posts instead of just the title you could understand the topic significantly better in your future endeavors here on dropzone.com. -

------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------- No doubt about what you said in regards to this officer having to live with killing this young girl for the rest of his life. The only question I have is wouldn't this situation be classified as 'shoot first and ask questions later?' I would be led to think that since 8 rounds were fired by police in one direction...I wonder if the perp attempted to fire his weapon. The only thing I'm saying is that they handled this situation in the worst possible way. And although this situation is very rare...obviously it does happen. This cop might have to live with what he did for the rest of his life...but what I think he'll have to live with is the way he handled the situation, and that it probably didn't have to end this way. ----------------------------------------------------- Also I never advocated anything against the cop. I have no idea where you got that from anything I said. And I can throw 50 yard bombs to receivers running fade routes on mondays like no other. -

I would like to get the opinion of lawrocket or andy and see if they can shed some light on my question... In Texas if someone is say, driving a car for someone robbing someone else and a victim has a heart attack during the course of their event all perps will be charged with some form of murder. In this instance the perp was holding another at gunpoint and the cops were such pussies they accidentally shot the wrong person...would this lead to a murder charge, even though the police were the ones that shot the victim? -

------------------------------------------------- I have a different opinion of law enforcement entirely. My father is a 1st lieutenant deputy sheriff and has been in some form of law enforcement for close to 45 years. He was in HPD during the 50's and had to retire from law enforcement for over 20 years due to being stabbed in the back [literally] while serving an arrest warrant. Honestly I would love to scan the clipping from the newspaper to show that not that long ago people were rather blatant about describing black folks ethnicity...even in the Houston Chronicle. My dad got back into police work around 25 years ago and I've been on patrol with him multiple times. He's a cool operator and I've seen him let many people go when I wanted him to arrest them. I've also been on the wrong side of the law more times than not due to a tumultuous childhood. I've seen the best and worst in police and I can tell you, just like in life there are good and bad police. Don't condemn them all just because of a few bad experiences. -

New York (CNN) -- A Hofstra University student who died during a confrontation between a home invasion suspect and authorities was killed by police gunfire, a Nassau County, New York, police spokeswoman said Saturday. Police fired eight shots at the intruder, who authorities say was holding a gun to the head of 21-year-old Andrea Rebello during a home invasion robbery Friday at an off-campus house in Uniondale. One of the shots hit Rebello in the head, killing her, police spokeswoman Maureen Roach said. Also killed was the intruder, who authorities identified as Dalton Smith, 30, of Hempstead. He was struck seven times. Authorities say Smith, who was wearing a mask, invaded the home Rebello shared with her twin sister and two others during the pre-dawn hours on Friday. At some point, a female roommate of the twins was able to leave the home and call police, a police spokesman told CNN on Friday. When a police officer arrived, Smith was holding a gun to Rebello's head, Roach said. He told the officer he was going to kill Rebello, and then turned the handgun toward the officer, she said. The officer, fearing for his life, drew his gun and fired, Roach said. Authorities have not identified the officer. [how convenient] At the time of the shooting, Smith was wanted for jumping parole, police said. He was on parole for first-degree robbery and had an "extensive" arrest history that includes robbery, assault, and promoting prison contraband, said police in Nassau County. A warrant for his arrest was issued April 25 for allegedly absconding from parole, police said Rebello's high school principal, Carol Conklin-Spillane, said the twins' home community in Westchester, New York, was heartbroken. She described Rebello as a fun-loving, personable and self-aware young woman. Her parents, Fernando and Nella Rebello, are closely tied to the Portuguese community, and always worked to create opportunities for their children, Conklin-Spillane said. Rebello, a junior, was majoring in public relations. http://www.cnn.com/2013/05/18/us/new-york-student-killed/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 -
It's appalling that you light-thinking people bash all the good people out here simply because they have a religious belief. Your opinions on the reality of the benefits of religious belief is small-minded to say the least. Believe or not as is your choice. You are making asses out of yourselves by bashing the good people out here AND the driving force of their goodness AND the good works they do. No, don't back track now....you say believers are idiots, in so many words, yet it's just those "idiots" who would be sorely missed should they decide to stop doing those good works. Ask yourself...What is really driving me to bash others for their religious beliefs? How many of you do it because you don't have a religious belief so, in order to make yourselves feel better and more sophisticated than others, you feel the need to bring others down to a status lower than yours? Nutters are nutters. Yep, some nutters do things trying to hide behind the screen of "religion". It's pretty small-minded to assume that it's the religion and not the individual. Watch out now, with that kind of support you might find yourself in the same camp and shower with those damn christians with a bus backup to it How many non-religious groups i.e. organizations that put boots on the ground, millions of dollars of their organizations charitable giving to fund, assist, rebuild, care for, among other things in Hattie after the earth quake? I'm just asking the question is there a significant atheist group, humanist group, Satanist group that is funneling their assists, time and energy in a major financial manner? Maybe WeareAtheism which donated 25K to Boston Marathon Tragedy, OK awesome, but that amount was not even a drop compaired to what the church poured into the area. What organization does at least as much as say Samaritan's Purse, Salvation Army, Ten Thousand Homes to only name three? You're asking who runs a bigger marketing campaign. So yes, I'm sure christians will win that one. There are plenty of secular aid groups, you don't know it because they simply call themselves aid groups. ------------------------------------------------------- How bad does it upset you that god doesn't care who you cherish?
