I've been in walmart at least 5 times in the past 7-8 years and been behind people trying to buy ciggarettes or alcohol on their lone star cards and have to put those items back...slowing up the line and pissing me off in the process. Its clearly stated when those cards are issued that no alcohol or tobacco products can be bought and yet I see people constantly trying to buck the system. I can see giving out lone star cards for a year. After that...better get a damn resume worked up.

I understand what you just said but my question is if they are going to go out and spend all this $$$ on something as needless as tanks why not invest that money in something the army could actually use instead. I watched a show on the history channel and it was about a place in alabama that rebuilds used Abrams tanks. Within a week or so they can completely rebuild it to looking like brand new. What suprises me is that obama isnt using this money on more drones.

Heres an idea. If islam is actually a relgion of peace as they say then why cant the equivalent of the pope of the islamic world come out and denounce the terrorists that use islam as their religion? I could care less what polling method you use. You are polling a very small percentage of the population...then extrapolating that into saying that the entire nation agrees with the results. If you came out and said something plausible like...90% of americans who took gallup polls believe that background checks are the way to go. I could get with it. But to use that particular method...where someone calls you up and asks you to take a poll over the phone...who the hell would want to do that? Explain to me exactly how that number of 90% is made up. I don't remember obama coming to my house and asking me. I don't recall anyone working for DHS calling my house and asking me about it. Just sticking 100 democrats in a room and getting 90 of them to come to a conclusion about background checks doesn't mean that 260 million people agree with it.
