As of 12:00 Am central time Oct. 12th i am now a year older, well at least 20 minutes older. And the DZ isnt even open tomorrow to do a bday jump i have to wait until Sunday. Hopefully the weather is clear by then. Oh.. If you wandering, im 22. Joe

Holloween is almost here and i am sure most DZ's are having some kind of halloween boogie, Archway is having a $99/day boogie as many jumps as you can make out of the king air for $99, So what is everyone dressing up as that is free fall friendly. ~*Blue skies*~ JOe

HEY everyone Finally made it to 50. No More Newbie status. Does this mean beer, cause im broke from jumping, and spending to musch time on this site, well somethings will never change. I Love this place.

That would be awsome to try but dangerous.. might lose track of alti, or wouldnt wont to keep track, one of the two.

my Personal opinion, and everyne else may disagree but does religion even matter. If you really like her go for it dont hold back. I was raised catholic, but dont really consider my self to be any specific religion now. Havent been to church for years and actually disagree with organized religion, but i dont look down on anyone of any other relgion, My point of veiw is worship whom ever you want. Thats what freedom is all about right. so whether shes, Mormon, JW, Baptist Catholic, GO with your heart, religions all the same anyway just a few different words, and names.

I wake up bright and early today and head out to the dz for hopefully a full day of jumping. I miss the first load so manifest for the 2nd. ITs just me a freeflier and 2 Tandems. The freeflier spotted, he usually spots great but the uppers were very unpredictable. Th ground winds were blowing about 10 mph hour out of the east. I was 1rst out and cut was called just barely to the east side of the hanger. I go out in a sit. and watch the other person leave the plane. I then roll over on to my belly and so where im at. WOW i am really far east of the air port. I remember thinking that i hope the tandems took another pass before they got out. I look up and there they were already leaving the plane at the worst spot possible. About 5500 i sart tracking toward the airport and dump around 4000, which is alot higher than i am used to. needless to say i had to set up for landing about 3/4 of mile est of the airpost in a plowed corn field. The freeflier landed at the very tip of the east runway and the tandems i couldnt even see where they landed. but i am guessing around a barn a good 1 1/2 to 2 miles away. To make things worse the king air blew a tire on landing and to be safe didnt send it back up for the rest of the day. So made some long cesna runs to 9500. SO how was everyone elses weeked....

Anne, Looks like the playoffs will be hear on sat. you going to the game. Thats a bummer the Cards blew it today. Ill be out there next sunday most likely, The King Air was down today blew a tire on landing. Had to do Cesna runs all day. Cya there joe

Anne. I wish i would have beent there last sat. i still cant belive that the people who where the didnt support your decision. I feel you made the right move and i think everyone who didnt agree with you was wrong. After anyones 1rst reserve ride, is no time to tell people they made the wrong decision, When i make my 1rst i would want everyone supporting me not saying i did the wrong thing, that would only make my feel 10 times worse. I did find an interesting article in the newspaper about skydiving.. I was looking through a local paper hear in St. Louis and came across an article about one of the papers editors making his first skydive @ Quantem Leap in sullivan MO. IT wasnt anythign special but he had nothing but great things to say about skydiving, he made his first AFF jump and documented the whole experience.. IT was nice to see something other than accidents in the paper.

I havent heard of any sellers doing this but if you find one let me know im in the same boat you are.. I can already see it.. ill have my C before i have my own rig. Blue Skies Joe.

I remember one time i went 3 weeks without a jump i know thats not too long of a time but when i got into the plane on that 1rst jump i was more nervous then the on my first jump. as soon as i left the door it was one of the best feelings ever as soon as i hit the ground i went right to manifest to get on the next load. Since then i havent gone more than 2 weeks without a jump. Every body gets nervous , its part of the sport im sure your jump will go great... joe

o.k. this might be lame.but for the first time i didnt have to where the big and baggy student jumpsuits, if you remember my post a couple weeks ago about paying for a jumpsuit and never getting it.. well we finally worked it out and it came earlier this week. I jumped it today and it was so Sweeet. I never jumped with booties and they helped alot. wow you can move a lot fast with a better fitting jumpsuit.. Only got in 1 jump today but it was worth the Hour drive. Joe

Thats awsome.. I cant even imagine 22 people flying at 120 mph that close to each other and hit two points..I ve only done a 6 way and cant wait to start doing the bigger ways..theres definitely no other sport like it...

Good point there skyhawk... i could knock a few bills out of the way .. Maybe ill just compromise. Only jump 1 or maybe 2 times. that way i can do both And as far as not signing the check .. now were cookin jump tommorow, paybills later.. hey there already late. so what another 2 days going to hurt..

Well the weekend is almost over and i havent had the chance to jump yet. I am working tomorrow but could leave early enough to make a couple jumps. Which i would love to do .. but i have a stack of bills waiting to be paid...on the other hand i just got my first jumpsuit in and am dying to jump with it, it sure beats the hell out of the student gear. Aanyway, Back to the question.. Make a couple of jumps or pay the already late bills sitting on my desk.. let me think about this for a minute.......o.k. i have to jump.....At least i gave paying the bills a thought.. its the thought that counts right. I can tell that to the bank.. I thought about paying the bills but decided to jump out of an air plane instead.. IS this a bad decision...... Joe..

Is it just me or does this thread go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to far to the right.. Congrats on the rig marc, i cant wait to buy my rig unfortunately i have no help and probably wont get one until next summer.(damn that sux.. student rig for another 6 months)

A freind of mine just bought a watch while in Sweeden. He showed me that it had an altimeter on it.. I couldnt belive it. But it read an altitde how correct it was who knows.. i dont think i would use it skydiving unless i could set the altimeter at the DZ's. if it reads see level which his did it wouldnt work to well at various DZ where 0 alt. might night really be 0 sea level. And man that would be hard to read that small type while in free fall.

how many posts is it before you lose the newbie title??? I mean whats the total number for someone to go from newbie to the next handle.
