  13. yeah, I predict people will get very "creative" in the next few months, sometimes It is tempting to break bad but people have to realize that the economy will improve and sit tight. Here's a cautionary tale about feeling sorry for people;I think I told this one a while ago- A buddy of mine was at the Salty Dog in Homer AK drinking and fell for a sad tale about this musher dude who could not feed his dogs(likely bullshit).....yadda yadda... He got talked into breaking the window of the local jewelry store so this dude could reach in and grab the goods -fucking BAD Idea...instant jail time!! desperate people do desperate shit. add; So as not to offend anyone- The Salty Dog (Dawg) is a great and legendary little bar a must visit when in Homer- back in the day we asked for an "oil can" (Fosters) after a day of fishing and foolishness on the spit- highly recommended, four stars Beware of the collateralizing and monetization of your desires. 15. Dude, I think you're making a good move with this project, indications are that the housing market will bounce in the next five years, if you follow the advice here about looking for pre foreclosure or non performing assets and get the best deal you can with a good home inspector whittling the price down some more....you will be top cat in a few years financially and you will get a relatively inexpensive pad in the process. >I'm planning on staying for at least 3 years, -Hopefully you can shoot for five. I myself am tempted to get into the market, but in Florida instead.......I've seen nice properties there for $30,000 -buy it, fix it, rent it, wait, then sell when the market rebounds. Use Google street view to scan the places right from your computer, as invasive as that technology is.......it's a great tool for scoping out neighborhoods, which is important for resale.
