***See Walt - I told you he was psycho - look how he brainwashed her! __________________________________________________ Dr. Phil didn't brainwash me - Walt did ...Dr. Phil doesn't have that much power...it surprises me that you don't like him yet you give him so much credit. Walt on the other hand.....I really need to be worried now ...and I'm not a fuzzy-muffin, I'm a fluffy-muffin. Get it right! ***You guys never get worried about the development? __________________________________________________ Great point - and yes I do. It's such a gradual thing though so that's probably why most people just go along to get along. If we could all see where this "gradual" erosion of our freedom might lead, then maybe we'd put a stop to it. Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28 -
***he makes his living by making men look as evil as possible except for the guys on his show who don't have any balls. __________________________________________________ Um...those men do a good enough job making themselves look evil...and some of them ARE just plain evil. But you, Walt, are not evil. You're awesome. Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28

***Lighten up MOM! __________________________________________________ Huh??? Has it escaped your attention that this is all a big joke? I couldn't care less if you (or anyone else) likes Dr. Phil or not. He knows he's not for everyone and is always saying "that's why you have a remote control." He has had shows in the past where his non-fans basically take him on. They're pretty funny

***C'mon, Walt, he's a good ole boy Hellspawn psycho fuck from Texas __________________________________________________ You guys just gave me a great idea for an upcoming show. You, Walt and Lindercles against Dr. Phil. Now THAT would be a real ratings booster! What's it like to be a parent and skydiver?
skydivermom replied to shaiziel's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
***im suprised you havent responded to this post yet kath __________________________________________________ I'm a little slow these days - too much going on. I didn't start jumping until I'd been married for 10 years and already had my two boys. After my first tandem, I knew this is what I was supposed to do. Skydiving has brought so much to every aspect of my life, and I'm so glad I didn't wait. It was really important to me that my boys have ALL of me, and they didn't before I started jumping. There's more to being a parent than just being there physically. I've made the necessary preparations should something go really wrong (life and accident insurance), and I don't spend every weekend at the dz. Plus I'm a full-time mom, so they have the great majority of my time. They came out and watched me last weekend, and my oldest thought it was so cool to see the formation from the ground (sunset load). He loved the fireworks affect at break-off. It's also important when kids grow up for us to have a life of our own. Not just for our benefit, but theirs as well. When I grew up and got married, it was hard for me because Mom didn't have that special thing that was all hers. I don't want my kids to go through that when it's their time to split. ***I like Judge Judy too. Is she still on? __________________________________________________ I used to watch her once upon a time. She always helped me feel good about my anger problem - or lack thereof compared to hers She's pretty funny...and her on the Dr. Phil show would be truly entertaining. I love Dr. Phil, but I'd definately take jumping over him in a heartbeat! Have a great time and get your butt back to Texas in a hurry. We've gotta get some jumps in dude

***I mean, how else are we going to make ourselves feel good by laughing at some one else's idiocy? __________________________________________________ Shoot, you can watch Jerry Springer for that. I watch Dr. Phil because he is funny and he doesn't beat around the bush and waste a bunch of time...plus he's helped me with a lot of my personal battles. He's definately not everyone's cup of tea though. And yes...I have laughed at the idiocy of people on his shows many times. Jenn, didn't mean to hijack your thread. Carry on. Well, I expected you to be the first to give me crap about that (Masterrig will probably be the second). C'mon, Walt, he's a good ole boy from Texas

Sometimes my husband snores, and we end up sleeing in separate rooms. I hate that. I've tried the standard earplugs, but I can still hear him. Which ones are y'all talking about the block 30 dec.? Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28

Wow, girl, you are busy! Here's whay my day holds. __________________________________________________ Homeschooling (took a few weeks off during the move) Read with the boys for the summer reading program. Catch up on housework. Watch Dr. Phil (the only TV I have time for) - Go ahead and laugh! Do my daily Tae Bo workout. Get dinner ready, clean up, get boys to bed. Enjoy sitting out on my beautiful porch while the sun goes down, and maybe finishing my mystery novel

Glad you are all moved in, but I'm sure you really could use some jumps now. We just moved about two months ago, and I'm still recovering Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28

I'm in the center (obviously). My cousin did a tandem that day and it was awesome. Anyway, back to the jumpsuit. It is a little too big for me so it's not great for RW, but it was given to me by the dzo where I learned to jump. In the second pic, I'm wearing Wendy Faulkner's suit that was custome made for her. We are both small, so it fits me pretty well, and is GREAT for RW. The suit's always waiting for me when I jump at Skydive Temple. I'm going to have one custome made for me pretty soon, but I will never be able to part with my "first" jumpsuit. Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28

***So is life, "man." Grow up. The world is not there to validate anyone's self-esteem. Actions have consequences...suck it up, buttercup. __________________________________________________ Considering he's chosen to serve this wonderful country that we live in, and is being deployed to Iraq here pretty soon, I would say he's a lot more grown up than most of us. I don't agree with smoking pot either (simply becauase it's illegal), but I've had some extremely horrible affects from alcohol, and have never taken a drink in my life. My dad's drinking almost ruined MY life. I would have preferred he not have any drug of choice, but I would much rather it had been pot than alcohol Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28 -

***They can (and will) take it from someplace other than the scalp if necessary... and shaving is seen as the same as a masker...trying to evade the test. __________________________________________________ From what I understand, it's quite common practice these days to shave the "someplace other" as well. I had a couple of downwind landings when I was still on student status. Only got chewed out on one of them - not because it was downwind, but because I stood up the landing Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
