    Been so busy with the Skyfest threads I forgot to post in here. 0: 5: at least 3 (SCR, first time jumping from CASA, first time jumping at Spaceland, first time jumping with many dz.commers) That's me in pink!

I had 10 years of marriage and 2 children when I started in this sport. Every two weeks is all I can handle, not just because of time but because of money too.     Let's see: Lee McMillan, JENR8R, Jumpjunkie2004, Popsjumper and I don't know who the jumper is on the other side of Airtwardo, 2 slots over from me. I wish someone could identify him. Turtlespeed is the one taking the pics. He's pretty awesome. Oh, and Larry (luminous) organized the whole thing for me and bowed out in the end so I could have video. Pretty awesome guy.     ***Well said and one of the reasons I like SL. Most places do not nickel and dime SL students. They do it for love of the sport, not money. I still think that way and I am an AFF I. __________________________________________________ Static line is what saved my skydiving career. AFF would have frustrated me and bled me dry in a heartbeat. I am so thankful for my Cessna, static line dz. I only paid $1300 for the whole training, and only $20 a jump after that as no one charged for coach jumps...and then I got a great deal on a rig from my instructor there, so I didn't have to rent gear for long. ...And I've been incredibly blessed to have Walt Appel's help since the beginning.     They are AWESOME is what they are!! I mentioned to boinky on here once that I'm hypoclycemic and she and Mike bring me some wonderful sugar-free cookies! Then on Saturday night Mike buys me dinner...just because It was great seeing you again Nina. And Mike, it was pretty fun getting soaked with beer together during that SCR ceremony! Congrats man!

    I'm posting this here because there are some of you who don't read in the Bonfire, and I wanted to make sure you saw this. I made several posts here during my training and some of you followed them closely. It's been a while since I've given a progress report. A year ago from yesterday, I took ground school and made an attempt at an AFF jump. Scared myself half to death. Switched to the Static line program where I smacked my nose on the Cessna step on one jump, made a low turn on another, and almost scared my instructor half to death! When I was sitting in that ground school course on July 16, 2005, I had no idea that almost a year from that date, July 15, 2006, I would get my SCR!! Yes!! That's what dreams are made of

    I forgot to mention the hilarious song that Larry (lumunious) taught me in the plane. It's a spoof on the do, re, mi song and it's about beer! I'm sure most of you know it. Everytime he sings that song in the plane it just cracks me up. Oh, and here's some more cool pics.     What an outstanding weekend! Meeting so many of you was the biggest treat of all. Like a family reunion, even though we'd only met on-line before. Getting my SCR was so much fun! Thank you Larry (lumunious) for organizing the whole thing and graciously bowing out so I could have video and pics. Thank you Turtlespeed for the awesome video and pics. Thanks Waltappel, JENR8R, Jumpjunkie2004, Popsjumper, Airtwardo, JohnRich, Lee McMillan and I wish I knew who the other jumper was. You all made my day!
