When did fascism actually take hold in the US?
cumplidor replied to cumplidor's topic in Speakers Corner
Ah, and you are either "with us or against us" to help further widen the chasm between the black and white, thus making compromise much more difficult, and the truth harder to see, because the truth is not black and white. But as a population, aren't we constantly being told we NEED (or SOLD) something many times daily, whether it is more government, help with erections, bigger house than my neighbor, the need for whiter teeth or whatever? -

If our government were controlled by interests whose loyalties lie with Israel then that would explain why we would go along with whatever they do. (AIPAC, PNAC, etc) If the places where we received most of our information about the goings on in the world, were largely controlled by interests whose loyalties lie with Israel, then that would explain why we don't see much of that on NBC, CBS, Newspapers or Magazines. (google 'Jewish media ownership' ) http://www.google.com/search?q=jewish+media+ownership&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official http://jewsagainstzionism.com/ This site seems to have good information about the Jews who do not support Israel and their behaviours.

But didn't tobacco have the luxury of positive promotion for dozens of years before suddenly 'discovering' that smoking was unhealthy? Numerous ad campaigns portrayed smoking as a hip, healthy thing, with doctors and movie stars promoting its use. Who paid for the ad campaigns to mold public opinion favorably towards smoking? Shouldn't be a surprise it is the same corporations who paid for massive lobbies for favorable legislation in Washington for numerous years. Hell, I remember being at the Charlotte racetrack at 14 years old and repeatedly going back to the Winston and Marlboro sales reps. They were giving free ciggs to ANYone who asked for them. This was well after the 'discovery' of it being bad and pulling all TV advertising. So don't tell me that tobacco companies weren't responsibile for thier actions in peddling their toxins to children, with Wahsington turning a blind eye. The tobacco industry is like any other in that they need a continual stream of new customers as the old ones die off or come to their senses. And they will to anything to preserve their business, as any other greed/profit driven entity would do. I am certainly not saying that a gun mfg should be held liable for how someone uses their product, but if an ad campaign existed for the UZI, promoting it use as a tool of looking cool by shooting off your toes with it, that certainly would change my opinion. Or if a liquor company touted itself as a alcohol that was safe for driving, then that might be a problem. Tobacco companies got off very light considering the countless billions in profits they made before public opinion (common sense) turned on them and stopped believing their lies, demanding they stop most advertising. Strange though how tobacco's influence is still very strong.

I have no doubt I expose myself to many toxins all the time, but I do try to minimize them any time possible. Well this blew me away... I would never have thought that feeding equal to ants would kill them... I had read somewhere where it was originally developed as an ant poision, but accidently discovered to be incredibly sweet. I am not sure how true that is, but it gave me the energy to try it. And it worked. I though my skydiving brothers and sisters would value this information, but alas I fear I have been mistaken! Oh well...

okay, you have made a point that one can die from drinking too much water. even though the definition of hyponatremia seems more related to the sodium levels in the body- Comparing water to aspartame seems like comparing BB's to Depleted Uranium weapons. But I suppose if enough BBs hit you just right you will die, so I guess it is an okay analogy . The FDA says it is safe, read here in their talk paper http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~lrd/tpaspart.html The industry says it is safe, read here http://www.nutrasweet.com/articles/article.asp?Id=45 The problems the FDA and the industry have acknowledged deal with individuals born with PKU which affects only 1 in 15000 people. They deny cancers and brain tumors are related to this product. The PKU warning is the only package warning I am aware of. Sweet & Low says on the package it can cause cancer. I disagree with your statement of the public having a choice in whether we use this product or not. It is currently in use in over 5000 different products ranging from gums and drinks to numerous medications and vitamins. Seems like you have to watch out for it rather than the manufacturer making certain you are aware it is in the product you are about to consume. Stevia is a naturally occuring herb sweetner that has had tough road with the FDA and is still not approved for use in most products. This seems a more natural product, but yet it was demonized by the FDA back in the 90s and was even banned for a short time, only to be determined later to be not a danger and given limited approval. Do you think that ants are going to eat so much sugar it will kill them? I seriously doubt it. (next experiment) Are they gonna drink too much water, so they suffer from hyponatremia? Doubt that one too. (cant think how to make this into an experiment) But they are guaranteed to eat too much aspartame to kill themselves.

Here is the pdf to a study conducted in 2005 in Italy. http://www.ramazzini.it/fondazione/docs/AspartameGEO2005.pdf If you are interested, but I doubt it. You seem to have already formed opinions that appear immovable... Its okay, I don't think any less of you. Well, okay, maybe I do...
-
Got a link to that data? I have links, but everyone seems to discount them. Seems if they don't agree with the FDA version, it is then classified as BS information. So basically, until the FDA says "Hmm. This might cause cancer" then it is not possible?
-
I seriously doubt I would die from drinking too much water. unless you meant drowning... And eating too much refined sugar will kill you too. But this goes back to my earlier post that this stuff causes cancer and the very strange circumstances surrounding its sudden FDA approval back in 1981 after years of denying it. I certainly have no problem with folks wanting to poision themselves by whatever means necessary. The fact is alot of folks think that Aspartame is safe (in whatever dosage), and the FDA doesn't seem very interested in looking at the overwhelming data that proves Aspartame is not safe. (non-industry produced data - without corporate influence on the results)
-
Does that mean that 3-4 diet cokes per day are bad for you too? If the amount of aspartame they are ingesting is the cause of death to the ants, then why in the heck would we be okay with it being in 4000+ products and taking it daily? Could this be related to the amount of cancers since the 80s? If aresenic were once an artifical sweetner, (before being discovered to be poision) would that make a difference in your opinion?

By looking at your number of posts here on this board, it would seem you have quite a bit more leisure time than me...

The ant hill dies. The size of the hill vs the number of packets you put on is proportional to the amount of death in the anthill. (more nutrasweet = more death)

Hey folks, I know this "soda pop is bad for you" debate seems trivial compared to the extreme dangers we face in our beloved sport, but try this: Go to the convience store/local restaurant and get as many packs of nutrasweet/equal as you can (but you only need 6-10 for this experiment) and go find a spray water bottle and a nice sized ant hill. Take a stick and lightly stir up the ant hill to get them going, then sprinkle the Nutrasweet over the ants, and spray lightly with the water bottle. Check the hill in 2-3 days and compare its growth to others you have not treated. Post your results! I have done this many times and the results are quite, quite scary...

The Federal Reserve & National Banking Act are unconstitutional
cumplidor replied to AdD's topic in Speakers Corner
I suppose that is the NEW and IMPROVED American way isn't it. It sounds almost identical to our Governments attitude towards the rest of the world. I don't know about you, but I generally get a rush from working together with folks as a team to acomplish something. (you know like RW, FF, basketball, etc) If we all had your attitude, no one would ever work together, towards anything. -

you know, there is a reason that gold just past $600 an oz (1st time since 81) and silver gained almost .80 today (as of this post) to 13.80 You think that the rest of the world is tired of having dollars jammed down their throats? -
I see why they had to make rules against verbal attacks on folks... sheesh with repsonses like that its no wonder the country is in the shape it is in- no doubt some people watched way too many cartoons on Sat mornings... must have made them think they were funny or something...

Can you offer me an explaination as to why would develop and deploy these weapons, knowing they are this toxic, thus exposing our troops and troops of our allies to this toxin? Is it because those in our administration in charge of use of these weapons certainly don't have to worry about their immediate family or friends? And since the general people don't 'seem' to mind... Do you disagree that the current administration would be guilty of the same charges against Saddam right now, if you agree that our DU weapons are poisioning thier lands for millions of years? Sorry about the VRWC thing, I get sidetracked and forget myself sometimes... (I had to look up VRWC )

Well, I certainly am not knowledgable enough to know if the hypos and conclusions they reach are credible or not. BUT, I do believe that Uranium or DU are both incredibly toxic to us, and have herad of way too many troops having serious health complications upon coming home, their wives experiencing it first hand during sex, when his semen burns her insides. There are some reports that occasionally come out of Iraq about newborn babies having incredible deformities and defects or not surviving. (Not to mention the Native Americans here in the US of which the study was focused on I believe) Now a person who refuses to believe this is possible would state that it doesn't make the news so it cant be true or show me the research... But we all know that the current administration exhibits a certain level of control about what is released to the public via the approved propaganda outlets. Anything that would be a threat to national security certainly isn't going to make the news... And to discover that DU weapons are incredibly toxic to land and human for millions upon millions of years would be a little bit of a threat to national security methinks. That would sound an awful lot like the current administration would be guilty of the same charges we have levelled against Saddam. But I would imagine the spin machines of Washington will kick into high gear and make sure that interests are protected, not unlike the pharma companies covering their asses regarding the anti-depressive medicines for kids and adults. Undertested and overmedicated... but that is a new topic...

Just discovered, DU bonds to DNA! http://www.scienceagogo.com/news/20060307010324data_trunc_sys.shtml So all you have to do is come in contact with it and it becomes part of you- bonus! Sooo many ways to make money off industrial wastes...

The Federal Reserve & National Banking Act are unconstitutional
cumplidor replied to AdD's topic in Speakers Corner
I understood it to be valid... I want to make a bank. I will find 100 million in investment and file all the proper filings to create the bank, and get the board and all that other bank stuff. I have 100 million in deposits, I can now loan out 900 million. This is what banks do, and while it may be 'legal', not sure how smart it is. What will happed if tough times hit and people want/need their money? The Federal Reserve Banking system was patterened after the banking systems in Europe created by the Mayer Rothschild in Europe during the time Europe needed lots of money to help fund then continued building of the empire. Edited to add: link to a speech Rep Ron Paul made to the House of Reps and discussed this very topic. http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2006/cr021506.htm If more people would talk about this topic instead of who got a BJ (or who didn't) or who's lied about the worse thing, or whose responsibility global warming is, or if it is even happening, we might come together as humans like they did when this country was formed...
