I guess that is about like saying light cigarettes aren't as bad for you as full flavor. Poision is still poision, even lighter versions of it. You claim it is fairly safe. I assume this means as long as it isn't airborne, which DU dust particles is airborne, and being breathed in by everyone in Iraq right now, and upwind to Europe too. Does anyone note the fact that the thing about DU is they found a use for this industrial waste. Not only found a use, but a way to make money off of it! Very similar to the poision, flouride- another industrial waste, which is being added to municipal water in most cities The Wikipidia definition of DU is interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depleted_uranium Says that during processing they have to monitor and filter airborne particles. Do you reckon they are filtering the particles in Iraq? What about the poor folks whose land we are poisioning forever? The DU dust will get into their crops, water supplies, everything. So tell me again how safe this stuff is for our troops? Can you assure the reader that with all these shells we dropped that we wouldn't have kicked up an ass of dust to be breathed in by the Iraqis and our troops too. I think not. All you can do is say it is safe as long as it is not ingested. Which doesn't mean much since you can't see it to avoid it.

-60% of the colonial population were pro King before the American revolution -It was many years after Galielo died (in prison) before people believed earth actually revolved around the sun. -Jesus Christ was ridiculed, tortured and killed for going against the government. If I turn out to be wrong, so be it. But the mental and moral condition of this country tells me I am probably not.

My perspective is that I don't buy what mass media pumps out. I watch little to no tv and read no newspapers. My news comes from the Internet. I read sites that some find disturbing, but they do have useful information. This is my belief in a nutshell- -I believe that our government meddles in regional affaris of numerous countries around the world. (We give weapons to these guys, cuz they will do business with us, the others don't trust us.. etc) -I believe that back door deals go on all the time between big biz and the federal govt- this influences the previous item. -I believe the fed would lie to all of us in a second, actively lies to us via mass media to steer us into thinking what they want us to think regarding domestic and foriegn affairs. This also helps to cover up illegal dealings mentioned in the above two items. Based on those three items, that would then make just about anything possible on 9-11. One thing about truth is sometimes it isn't known until much later. Most Germans had no idea that the Reishtag fire that enabled Hitler and the Nazis to sieze power was actually set by the Nazis...

I don't know first hand, but the WHO page seems to minimize DU effects, yet it says which doesn't sound good to me. Natural Uranium is known to cause cancer as I understand. Here is an article that describes an increase in DU in Europe since Gulf War 2. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2087-2047373,00.html Of course, they write it off and call it a coincidence. A Scottish article http://www.sundayherald.com/32522 I have heard rumors that the Gulf War Syndrome is actually radiation poisioning from DU.

Well, I am not 100%, obviously, I was not personally at each of these different locations, so have no way to know from that perspective. I must base it on what I saw with my eyes, and what seems plausible to my brain. I certainly believe planes hit the twin towers. Penn I am not so sure, nor the Pentagon. While I have seen pictures with obscure pieces of airplanes at the Pentagon crash site, nothing you would think (like wings?) The hole seems small for the plane, and the video that has been released leaves MUCH to be desired. I would really like to see the hotel video or Highway dept video, but I doubt that will happen. CG is getting such that if they delay it a few more years, they could probably have a good one done by then I also believe that our goverment no longer serves the people it was originally designed to serve. Our republic has been twisted and corrupted into a fat and out of control beuracacy that serves the corporation. Corruption is deep, and money is easily spent on illegal invasions and domestic wiretaps, but they can't seem to find enough money for education? They could print more, its just not the top priority I think. (The right folks aren't making the money is what it is- just another symptom of govt out of control) sorry for the long posts... I can get wound up sometimes...

I disagree. It wasn't the rescue workers that made the arrangements to have the wreckage transported overseas (sold) so quickly. Again, I disagree. I have been a welder in a past life and the type of steel used and the thickness is simply not able to be overcome by collapsing floors. even all the weight. the collapsing debris would have slid off the floor while waiting for it to collapse. And Kerosene will simply not sustain enough heat, for long enough to melt steel, or even systematically weaken all of these massive I beams simultaneoulsy, for 110 floors. That just make my brain hurt trying to make it believe it! A MUCH more plausible answer to me is that cutting charges are placed on each I beam, for 110 floors. That WOULD systematically weaken all of these massive I beams simultaneoulsy, for 110 floors, all at the same time. I have a hard time with this too. If that were the case, wouldn't that be true on every floor? Wouldn't we see squibs on every floor? I guess not. Maybe some of the windows were open... Could you please explain this to me again? this was enough force to simultaneously SHEAR OFF 2 foot tall steel I beams reinforced with and completely pulverize 3' floors of concrete? Over and over again for 80+ floors? Without some sort of help beyond maybe 3 or 4 floors of burning K1? I understand in physics that each floor would transfer some of that energy to the next floor, then the next, and each transfer will result in a reduction of energy because the 'shearing' & 'pulverising' going on. The 'shearing' & 'pulverising' process also takes time. It is simply more time than pure freefall allows for. AND you guys are calling us gullible? For those of you that haven't seen the BYU physics professor come forward and call it a demolition check out: http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,635160132,00.html Uh, no. I am certainly not someone who exploits others for my personal gains. Maybe you were thinking of someone else... Bill you put serious words in my mouth. I did not say that, they obviously have vacines for most of those. (Too bad many of them have many times the same levels of the poision mercury in them). My statemnet, is that they healed people, there would be no sick people, or put themselves out of work. Perhaps you support this way of doing business? Huh? Which one would that be? It becomes my issue when I cannot find chewing gum anymore that doesn't contain aspartame or acesulfame K (both toxins), and I simply have a problem with corporations being allowed to push their addictive, unhealthy products onto ignorant people. Our children are bombarded everyday with commercials for this crap, and some of us give it to them (Unknowingly or stupidly - I venture more unknowingly than not) Not to mention, Genetically Modified foods are becoming commonplace and are dangerous too. Most of our soybeans, corn and potatoes are now GM crops. I don't call that much of a choice... Why are we not taught this stuff in schools? That these food life extenders dont work on our personal life? (that wouldn't be profitable) Oh bull crap. They 'prohibit' them from putting ingredients or permit them to not... they permit the 'tobacco' companies by turning thier heads. When enough of the people bitch about it, the Fed made a few concessions for the victims, yet still provided more shelter for the corps. Wow, I don't think everyone is out to get me, and it is not the govt trying to poision us. (its the corporations) The govt is just allowing it, because people don't seem to care anymore- (are you part of the problem or part of the solution?) I think trying to make evil, greedy corporations accountable for what they encourage us to do to ourselves, is actually very reasonable. Trying to get the general public to wake up to the abuse is reasonable, I think. Trying to cloud the situation with distractions, false and odd statements is not reasonable.

Why isn't pot legal? There would no longer be a need for a lot of current medications people take to sleep, calm their nerves, or whatever. The alcohol industry would loose alot too. The oil and wood/paper industries would suffer as well. not gonna happen. To many industries negatively affected. (not to mention the law enforcement industry would be reduced) There are cures for cancer- eliminate the folowing from your diet sodium nitrite (in almost every packaged meat- known cancer causing), partially hydronated oils (cooking oils that have been 'bubbled' with hydrogen so it wont spoil (that effectively pre-spoils it), chemical based soaps and shampoos (these chems seep in through your skin (think the patches that administer medications), minimize pharmasuticals (taking all those unproven or questionable meds that have wierd side effects) , I could go on- We are organic creatures, not man-made chemical based creatures. Why would we pump our bodies with man-made chemicals? Because someone we have been told to trust a 'Doctor' from early on. I recently dug up some bottles in a yard that came from 'doctors' They were cough medicines made with choloraform and opium. unfortunately for the patient, the coughs were symptoms of TB and recovering from TB requires you to cough to expel the disease. You cant cough after chloroform and opium... They are in business to make money from selling medications....

N. Korea Suggests It Can Strike U.S. First
cumplidor replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
Hey Billvon (or anyone else?)- Any comment on Rep Ron Pauls speech? I find it scary in that few if any other reps (or media) acknowledge what he is saying. If folks really grasp what his speech is talking about, they would understand this is all a scam perpatrated on the American public and has been going on for sometime. Incedentially, Ron Paul has introduced legislation to keep the Fed Rsv reporting M3 (amount of currency in circulation) (sorry for the crappy spelling. I never did well in spelling ) -
sorry for the long read... I completely and totally believe our government is capable and willing to do anything to preserve itself and its current function of expanding the empire to preserve the dollar as the #1 currency in the world for oil exchange as well as everything else. All discenters will be silenced, individuals and countries. We currently have troops in over 100 countries, and influence (meddle in) the affairs of countries not currently in our favor like Venezuala. (or anyone internationally who calls out GW for being the fool he is- anyone watch some of his speeches? took too many prozacks sometimes I think, or too many bong hits) But, today is Day 1 of M3 no longer being reported, which means the Federal Reserve can print as many dollars as they want without having to report it how much is in circulation. This means the more they print, the less it will buy and the less it will be worth. The less it is worth, the less other countries will want more of them. (something like 85-90% of the $100 bills are not in the US?). Sooo... The banking industry is behind it all! Did you know that banks have the ability to create money out of thin air??? By law, when you deposit $1000 into your bank, they can lend out $9000! All of a sudden the mortgage industry makes ALOT more sense... Hmm. Maybe that is why they want 10% down unless they loan out less than the property is valued at. Did you know that the majority of economic growth that took place the past few years was not due to people making more money, it was from refinancing. I firmly believe there are a number of issues and clues that surround 9-11, that are simply not being investigated properly. A CRIME SCENE WAS DISTURBED AND EVIDENCE REMOVED WITH LITTLE TO NO INVESTIGATION TO ANY OF IT?!?! Not to mention carted of to forien countries to recycle?!?! While everyone is in shock and reeling, trying to process it all. Those of us who stayed glued to Fox, CBS, ABC, etc (or any of the print media owned by the same corporations who owns CBS, ABC, FOX, etc read about a propaganda theory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda_Model concerning our media outlets, since they are primarily owned by the ultra large corporations like GE, Westinghouse, etc who are able to influence what the public sees and hears) likely believ the spouted versions. What about all the mentions of the wierd things about it. Eerie similarities mentioned by reporters how they looked like demolitions. What about the squibs (horizontal dust clouds that shoot out 30feet before the floor hits? what about near freefall speed the bldg collapsed at? logic dictates there should be some sort of resistance from one floor falling to the next as the beam bends and breaks each of many beams (and concrete) that comprise each floor. Anyone who has seen a controlled demolition has seen the squibs and near freefall speeds. And now if you were a terrorist that was going to take out a building and all the folks in it, wouldn't you want it to fall over, to kill the folks in the streets too? Why put it in a nice neat pile for the cleanup crews? Kill lots of people is thier goal I hear. (which they certainly did, but why limit themselves like that?) Media coverage today generally lacks any sort of real investigative reporting, and any true investigative reporting results in getting blackballed, ridiculed, thrown in jail, (plume CIA agent leak stuff, Abu prison tortures, etc) BBC news is much better than US news but still are not where independent news sites are It is all about money, it is all about corporate greed and profits. Corporations are truly evil if you think about it. They exploit ANYTHING and EVERYTHING for thier profit, not yours and my gain or betterment. They even exploit our labor and are probably the modern day equivelent of Southern plantations... They need an ignorant and stupid, yet happy and content workforce (don't question what we say, just do it) to generate profit for those select few at the top. What do you think would happen if they found a real cure for cancer all of a sudden?? A many billion dollar a year industry would disappear. They would rather ID and treat diseases than cure them. They have to to keep a profit. We are slowly being poisioned by the food industry with their quest for profit. They have been able to add many different chemicals to our foods to make them 'taste better' and not spoil. Some actually make them addictive. Don't believe me? Why the heck would the Fed allow corporations to peddle tobbaco sticks laced with countless chemicals to spur addiction and not have to list anything as fas as ingredients go on the package? If they are willing to allow corporations to market those poisions to us, why not others? Have you all heard of Aspartame? Nutrasweet? read here to discover what the mass media ignores... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspartame New Mexico is considering banning Aspartame as a carcinogen additive. We'll see if they get bought off... There are many more things that go on at a much deeper level, but I don't have the time to get into it. It seems that some folks want to believe that we are the center of the universe and everything ervolves around us, yet others prefer to learn, ask questions, ask more questions, and then a few more just to be absolutely sure. Thats what I do as a young skydiver. *climbs down off my soap box*

Your sarcasm is closer to reality than you may think. Remember a few years ago when gasoline prices were below a buck? Well, a WalMart was going on when the large oil refineries sold gasoline at a loss to intentionally drive out the small oil refineries out of business, thus being able to buy thier assets cheaply, and mothball them, making certain supply is less than demand, thus creating higher profits. They did have enormous profits during the Katrina disaster didn't they? Its a shame you spent more time ridiculing and putting down rather than discussing the issues with intelligence and open mindedness.
-
Why makes that so laughable or hard to believe? Do you endorse a corrupt Federal Govt (or any level for that matter) out to protect certain 'well-connected' corporations??? or do you just not believe that our Govt is corrupt like that? Do you endorse a government that created pre-emptive war policy, invading countries based on ANY reason, later determined to be valid or not? Do you endorse a government that can now imprision ANYONE for any reason, without charge or trial, indefinetely???? And I disagree on how many would have to know. If mass media makes anyone who really questions the attacks look like an idiot or just flat ignores them, thus not informing the public of the questions that really do exist (if you simply open your mind, and forget about the right-wing this and left-wing that- those type statements originate from the mass media and actually keep us divided and unfocused), then that signifigantly reduces that number that would need to know.

I believe the official explaination is that debris from the collapsing towers ignited fires causing the collapse. I thought I saw the official reasons Bldg 7 covered in the video clip. They mentioned the offices in B7 destroyed really more as a feeder into the enormous information that was destroyed as a possible coverup for those agencies. There certainly was no logical reason for B7 to collapse, since no plane hit it and fires don't cause steel bldgs to collapse. Yet it still collapsed, and if you watch video of it collapsing, it sure looks like a controlled demolition, just like the towers. I have heard speculation that the top floor of Bldg7 was where everything was detonated from (Mayor Guiliani's ops bunker), and its collapse was to cover that among other things like investigations into various corporations, etc.

Read this article from Rep Ron Paul of TX: http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2006/cr021506.htm It addresses my statements and MUCH, much more... -
yeah, but what do you do? do you just continue on saying oh well, as long as my little world is okay? Or do we demand change? Did you even watch the whole thing? I know I got to feeling sick about 1/2 way through, and wanted to turn away. Instead I just paused it and came back later. There is alot of info at the end that was new to me. We all need to stop the petty quibbleing about the results of our beloved US Government being hijacked and twisted into a Authoritarian Empire, bent on world domination, and more how to make it a "We the people, by the people, for the people" government again instead of a "We the Corporations, By those bought by Corporations, to the benefit of Corporations" government.

N. Korea Suggests It Can Strike U.S. First
cumplidor replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
They choose to attack Iran because they threaten the US Dollar/Oil relationship more than N. Korea does. Iran was suppose to switch to the Euro for Oil sales which jepordises (sp) our dominance as the sole currency used to buy oil. (which coincidentally is why we attacked Iraq, not the WMD scam, he's a bad guy scam, or any of the others - Saddam switched to the Euro for oil - bad move) -
Okay all you folks that believe the official version of 9-11. Refute this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8260059923762628848

The entire economic system of the US is a game. Everything is about corporate profit, and ways to maximize that profit. Not too long ago, many independently owned oil refineries were 'Wal-Mart'-ed out of business by the Big OilCos pricing their refined products so cheaply (remember the 69 cent gallon gas a few years ago???, the independent refineries couldn't compete). After the indies folded, the assets were bought at a bargin and mothballed, until a 'need' for higher capacity existed. This way they can control supply, thus dictating demand in a way, in turn maximizing profits... How come average MPG today is less then when Henry Ford invented the car? (Model T got 25 MPG) With all the incredible technological advancements of almost every known industry (medical, computers, ...), one would think we would be able to power our cars using electromagnetism, or something else. But we are still using 100 year old technology for locomotion. Do any of you folks ever remember hearding about 60mpg breakthroughs? 80-100mpg? I have heard these announcements many times over the years then never anything else. Why is that? Did you know you can convert you car to run on used cooking oil for about $3500 and never have to buy gasoline again? I have heard of personal portable power generators that produce ENDLESS energy. But that would eliminate multiple industries, not to mention all the investment in those industries up to that point, which isn't going to happen. From a corporate standpoint, buy the technology and shelve it until it becomes 'cost-effective' or ROI (return on investment) is greater than the losses. Unfortunately, this is the face of global business today in Amerika. Eliminate the middle class, transfer all that wealth to the top 2% of the population, and shop around for the cheapest labor. I beleive that both Parties have succeded in depressing wages in the US by allowing so many illegals to come in, an US born person can't get a decent wage anymore. That is not Dem or Repub, that is the plantation owners simply securing the cheapest serfs, slaves and sharecroppers. *just another sharecropper*

shoot, I don't care what any of you believe. I would hope that you all are knowledge seeking, open minded, free thinkers, who are all truth seekers at heart. After all, that is the type of individual that fought and died to found country over 200 years ago. Unfourtunately, greed, lust, and power are all enemies of truth, and this country has been taken from the common man and is becoming just another country in the one world government we are moving so rapidly towards. Democrats and Republicans are the same thing. They have both sold out our country for their own gain, and very few have a concept of what our constitution really says. To me the real problem is the International Bankers trying to keep us believing that a piece of paper has actual value. I am refering to the Federal Reserve (private corporation) and the fiat currency of the dollar. The war in Iraq is mostly due to the fact that Saddam refused to accept dollars for oil. Our INVASION of Iraq occured shortly after their announcement. Earlier this year, Iran announced that on March 20, they will accept Euros for oil. (This is the ramp up to that invasion that we don't hear about) Any country that questions our dominance is the next victim. We have been antagonizing Iran for years. Here is an essay written by the one of the few members of our Congress that I have any respect for. He nails it on the head, and while it is long, it gives insight to how this country is run financially. SCARY http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2006/cr021506.htm As long as the organized minority is in charge, we will all continue to be slaves. *There's a reason why a very wise man once said, 'The meek shall inherit the Earth'"

endless supplies of hydrogen have been discovered on the ocean floor in the form of hyrates. Getting to it is the problem. But the real problem isn't any of this. The reality is that with all the incredible technological advancements with computers, medical, etc. Gas milage has DECREASED since Henry Ford built his first car. The model T got 25 miles per gallon, and the current average is around 21 or so? Do any of you remember in years past hearing about the 80mpg cars and such, then never hear from them again? What about the way to convert your car to run on used vegatable oil? (makes the exhaust smell like french fries ) The real deal is, it is not profitable (for certain corporations) for cars to get 50, 60 or 80 mpg. There has been technology to get 80mpg for a long time, but it doesn't facilitate an oil dependent society, which is what our government needs. Think about it, if oil became a non- factor all of a sudden, how many corporations would go belly up? That's not going to happen... It isn't profitable to have items made from hemp either. They last too long... Did you know that the model T cab was made from hemp?

disabled and picked up jumping ?
cumplidor replied to ludwigschmude's topic in Skydivers with Disabilities
Hey Ludwig, I think I fit your description. Way back in 1987, bone cancer was discovered in my right knee, and after 2 operations, they amputated it to rid me of the cancer. I had always wanted to skydive, and actually joined the Army to go Airborne, but due to the knee problems they stopped that. About 1 1/2 years ago, a friend gave me a tandem as a gift, and it has been on ever since. I now have 57 jumps, and look forward to getting my new leg to try it out. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have- Thanks- Jimmy -
I'm not a hip amputee, but I am an AK, and I jump with my prosthesis. I am currently getting a new leg made that should help me with freeflying, so have been waiting for that to get done to jump more. I have very little experience as I am a new jumper, but will try to answer any question I could relate to if it helps.

Anyone 6-7 months post op ACL reconstruction??
cumplidor replied to Silverlining's topic in Skydivers with Disabilities
Just a suggestion- Get a CTI brace for the knee they just worked on. It is a sports brace, very comfortable, and protects the knee from going ways it isn't suppose to. I jump with one for my knee that is trashed already, and am going to have to get your procedure done soon Id imagine. They told me 1 year no jumping, and being as new as I am to it, was simply not an option. Good luck with therapy and all-
