Supporting LBGTQ staff is being woke? And Disney going broke (which won't happen) would be good for Florida how?
-
Yes agreeing that the US is doing a lot and wishing Canada would do more is a real caustic dig. You see what you want to see.
-
Judging by this comment, doesn't really look like you are that different.

This is current announced commitments. There is a long way to go. We still have to fight the rest of WWIII before we get to worry about Ukraine cleanup. Yes, I am happy that Biden is currently President and not his predecessor, which would have made this all very, very different. I also wish Canada would do much more. Though Freeland was apparently the architect behind the sanctions on the Russian Central Bank, which does have a significant impact. Sometimes accomplishments cannot be measured in dollars I guess.

This chart also tells a tale: Then what also tells a tale is that EU institution donations are not counted as part of this tracker, nor is the 2 billion Euro commitment from the European Investment bank. All that to say, no single chart really tells a true story....

Absolutely nothing of that is true. In 2003 Texas Republicans went to the Supreme Court to try and continue the practice of jailing gay people. In 2022 Texas Republicans are trying to get women who have an abortion, even after being raped, punished by death.
-
Yeah I have no idea what that means, but I am sure it made you feel smart.
-
Are you sure about that? I have a feeling they track how much time you spend on a post, which videos and content engages you and which you quickly scroll past etc. etc. etc.

Oh I am thinking the brainchildren of the trolley problem were very well aware of the concept of winners and losers. Behaviour formed by ethical dilemmas becomes even more interesting to discus as autonomous transportation grows.

Brent's favourite senator claims that since Disney opposes the so called "don't say gay" bill, they will now produce episodes of Mickey and Pluto fucking..... https://twitter.com/therecount/status/1516479742077280262?s=20&t=VYCvFm106fUGrmo-E8Rljg

You said this: "Then again, it is unfair to expect rational though (sic) from a large part of the human race." Made me wonder if you perceived yourself to be in the small part of the human race you expect rational thought from. If so, you can never have been irrational, since you don't strike me as a person who would ever admit to not living up to your own expectations.

disqualify U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene
SkyDekker replied to JerryBaumchen's topic in Speakers Corner
You think equivalency here is a rational thought? -
The content was rational thought and expectations of rationality. Hence the question. Fine if you don't want to answer it. Do find it interesting that you seem to feel that being asked if you are always rational is "poison".

Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers
SkyDekker replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
And as part of the deal Wheatland may get their $1,750,000 donation back. So, lets sum this up. A US company donated $1,750,000 to a Trump SuperPAC. The donation is Illegal because it was discussed and likely at the direction of Zekelman, a Canadian. This gave Zekelman direct access to Trump, whose administration in the years after ruled in favour of Zekelman's businesses. Zekelman himself had his wealth go up by at least $1 billion. Sounds like it was well worth it and in the end only the SuperPAC will be out money. -
I know that is what you are referring to. There is nothing authenticated that Putin has said this. Parades on May 9th in Russia are not uncommon.
-
Other than Ukraine claiming it, there appears to be no evidence Putin has claimed that. I continue to suggest that one should be highly skeptical of communications coming out of either country.
-
None of those. Holding out to a second term would help gain support in the ongoing information warfare. From Trump's perspective getting rid of NATO would make perfect sense. It potentially inhibits the rise to power of autocrats and diminishes the power the US/Trump can wield directly.
-
That the US had no problem invoking it when they were attacked, even if all member nations didn't yet spend 2% of their GDP on the military, but that the US would not help other NATO members if they needed it if those member nations didn't spend 2% of their GDP. Which was at odds with his other statement that NATO was obsolete. There is little doubt in my mind that Trump would have withdrawn from NATO during a second term.
-
Just a few years ago the US would not confirm it would live up to Nato's Article 5 obligation and there is a very strong possibility that same situation will present itself again in a few years.
-
Sort of like financing Nazis and selling weapons to Allied forces? Or being reliant on Taiwan and China for cheap production and semi-conductors. If China were to move on Taiwan and the US would have to place sanctions on China the US would be in a world of hurt.
-
So either Western intelligence agencies are really, really, really bad at what they do. Or maybe leaving people with the notion off all these incredibly powerful enemies is great for military spending and getting people upset that the whole western world isn't giving a minimum of 2% of their GDP to US companies?
