Netherlands Hospital Euthanizes Babies
SkyDekker replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in Speakers Corner
wrong country. I think you'll find that in the cases where this has happened, lots of thought and independend review has taken place. Parents have consented, independend doctor's have consented and after the fact prosecuters consented. -

I'll bet you there is a fair bit of it going on in North America as well. -
Ditto

I agree, I think it actually is a great way of dealing with the issue. Much better than all the hidden euthanasia going on in other parts of the world. -
Ahh yes, like in a previous thread, the thing with the rule and the exception.
-
What is it they say again about the rule and the exception?
-
I agree. You are much better off indicating how generally polite Canadians are
-
Never said that was the case. Said that I am happy that as a society in general we generally do not feel that more guns makes us safer.

Why are so many American jobs being shipped overseas?
SkyDekker replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
You already have many illegal immigrants working in positions that "US Citizens" are unwilling to work in. People on welfare working for below minimum wage may be considered government slave labour. I'll bet you there are many unemployed IT workers who would not be willing to clean toilets for $4/hr, even if they are making $0 right now. Your comparison with yourself and not needing much money is not quite valid. Assuming you live on the dropzone, you are partly being paid with usage of their land, hydro, facilities etc. -
Yes I do believe that would be close to the definition of a criminal. The only way to ensure that there are no criminals is to abolish all laws. Toronto is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world. On top of that it is one of the larger(est) metropolitan areas in the world. If you consider those facts, it really is amazing how safe the city is.

all depends on where you look. I don't think any law or restriction will ever have an absolute effect. Your question is like the following: If the death penalty is so effective why are people still getting murdered?

I don't think that will work, due to the drastic differences in cost of living between the US and some of your popular outsourcing spots around the world. It really is a direct result of your prosperity. Your accumulated wealth over the years has driven your cost of living up, this has driven up minimum wage (never mind the influence of unions). Eventually the prosperity in other countries will increase, leveling out the comparable wages and labour will move back to the US. -
I just picked the other large metropolitan areas on the list. I really could care less what you guys dow ith your gun laws. I am happy we generally do not feel that everybody walking around with a gun is the correct answer. Not true, that is why we were talking about metropolitan areas and not cities.

Toronto is the 4th or 5th largest metropilitan area in North America. I wonder how we stack up (crime wise) against Los Angelos, Detroit, Washington DC, Chicago and New York.

Yup that is how my 6 month old went to Mexico.

Yup and the final question that he misses has to do with Taxes (well indirectly

Six Hunters Murdered on Private Land in Wisconsin
SkyDekker replied to Viking's topic in Speakers Corner
so, do you know if there were signs posted, indicating that he was trespassing. Do you know if there were signs posted indicating he was about to enter onto private land? Would it be possible that he walked from public land onto private land without knowing? -
Not in Canada she is not
-
Oops, looks like it might be next week as well
-
Nope, but just mark my words

Ken Jennings will lose tomorrow.

Love how you pick and chose the "facts" you chose to believe from those available in the media. anything to fit your story huh? Pretty sad that people get killed and all most of you are concerned about is whether or not you get to keep your guns. Now Kennedy.....what if he was shot upon first? What if this guy thought he was on public land and this group of white guys came running at him yelling profanities and firing the first shot? Wouldn't he be a hero in your books?
