  1. Not necessarily. Did the employer provide adequate training in piloting skills? Did the employer provide enough and adequate training in canopy selection?
  2. Cool, then why are you (the US) in Iraq? (not much oil to be found in Afghanistan, though I hear their opium trade is doing very well these days)
  3. Ahhh yes the old comparison of apples and oranges......
  4. IN the Dutch case this thread is about, it is not potential suffering it is actual suffering.
  5. I have stated before that I could care less what the US does with their gun laws. I do know that between the three countries I have lived, the two I feel safest in have been those with stricter gun laws.
  6. That just further proves my point that many opinions when it comes to the pro and anti gun crowd come from assumptions.
  7. Good for you. However, that still doesn't not make it fact that if a murder has been committed with a gun, that murder would still have taken place if a gun had not been available. It also doesn't make the opposite fact. It does nothing to address my opinion that both sides are opinions based on large assumptions. There are too many variables involved.
  8. I am getting my extra think Canadian winter coat, cause hell must be freezing over...
  9. I don't have a problem with them, as long as the person knew of his/her disease prior to having unprotected sex. As a matter of fact, I think it should not only be a civil court case, but a criminal one as well.
  10. Like I thought, none of the reporters had access to the shooter. Hence, the reported admission is hearsay. As said earlier, interesting to know you would consider that a fact.
  11. I don't dispute that. But how do you prove that the increase of those crimes is due solely to the gun ban?
  12. I am not quite sure what you are trying to say. I responded to storm's suggestion that it is a slippery slope and that it will lead to euthanizing unwanted babies, or those with unwanted physical traits. Because people would keep pushing the envelope. My reply was on the same stupidity level as that idea.
  13. Cool, so which of those reporters had access to the the shooter to get this admission?
  14. And the pro-gun crowd assumes it would still have happened. Eitehr side is an opinion based on assumptions because there is no way of truly knowing one way or the other.
  15. I thought the media were all liberal assholes and not to be believed? I think I'll just wait for forensic reports to come out and wait for a trial to decide whether or not he is guilty. But, interesting to know that you would consider a supposed admission reported in a news article a fact.
  16. Nope, but if you ever get divorced it could become a serious issue.
  17. When i don't like my job, I quit and get another one.
  18. Ahh so the forensic report hasn't been released yet, but you already know what is in it. funny how you can quickly judge guilt when it suits you, yet preach innocent until proven guilty when that suits your side.
  19. Exactly, you guys need a strong government to tell people what to think and to get rid of those who don't think like the government. Uhmm......yeah......that kind of sounds like communism.
  20. Exactly, firstly they will want guns to protect themselves. Then they will want bigger guns to kill animals. Then they will puch it a bit more and they'll want more guns to start killing some of the people society doesn't like. We all know it is a slippery slope and that basic gun ownership will eventually lead to all gun owners turning into uncontrollable murderers.
  21. Now imagine knowing that whether or not you you administer extreme medical care, the baby is going to die an extremely painful death....
  22. Now imagine that they were racially offensive and fired the first shot.....Would YOU kill them?
