  1. It has no influence on how once lives their life or raises their child.
  2. exactly, have to make sure Georgie can choke on a pretsell in all safety.
  3. after taiwan declares independence, do you really think it won't readdress the economical ties in place?
  4. I don't think it changes anything for me. I wouldn't want my child to be raised in a way where he thinks it is okay to shun people. He will be aware of all safety information he will need to know. He will need that information regardless of whether a convicted rapist lives next door or not.
  5. Why? What does that change in the way you raise your child(ren)? I am asking as the father of a young boy.
  6. That is assuming the US is willing to live without chinese goods being shipped to sustain its discount economy. Contrary to popular believe many of those products in Target, Walmart and Kmart are not made in the US.
  7. Using the same thought process I come to a different conclusion. Taiwan will walk further down the path of independence and will declare independence within 10 years. China will react to it, by invading Taiwan to protect its face and economic interests. There is nobody who will be able to stop them at that point. The Western world will then have two options. Either put in place economic sanctions, or just grin and bare it. Since by that time Western Economies will even more rely on China for its manufacturing base by that time and I think you'll find not many countries will impose sanctions.
  8. I agree and I think they will invade Taiwan within 10 years.
  9. I think you'll find vastly different economies and people between China and the old USSR. On top of that, start looking at the dependence of the US economy on China.
  10. OKay, let's say that is all true. Let's say China pretty much kills the entire population of Taiwan. do you think the US will (or should) continue to do business with China?
  11. China in all ilkelihood is the next superpower and when they incade Taiwan, I don't think there is much the US can and will do about it. No one can afford to lose 100% of their market. But losing 40%, if it meant greater security against invasion, might well make sense to some countries.
  12. Well, China has now passed a law enabling mainland China to use "non-peacefull" means to prevent Taiwan from becoming fully independent. secondly, Bush in his latest "coronation" speech indicated that the US would help and come to the aid of all countries to protect freedom and democracy around the world. Think the US would ever go to war with China to aid Taiwan?
  13. Federal government taking control of Media, Patriot Act, Military installations at airports, major increase in military spending, strong division in country with non-followers labeled as unpatriotic, giant debt which is growing tremendously. You take all those factors and move it to an African or South American country and we all would know where that would lead. The future of the US will be very interesting indeed.
  14. You have made two more posts since posting this lie. Since you lie about such simple items, it is hard to believe you on anything.
  15. NO, that would really only help Indian employment statistics.
  16. Yeah, but it would be one led by the Great Bush II. He is by far the best president the US has ever had. I mean, just look at what he has done for the country.
  17. Ron, it is okay to say you have absolutely no clue.
  18. Why not, if they are entrusted with it on a range, or have been taught by their parents how to handle weapens. What is so different for a teenager to have one in his/her locker compared to playing with one at home? Either teenagers are competent enough to handle weapons, or they shouldn't handle them at all. Yes tigra.
  19. He is not a buddy, he is a paid consultants who does work for me, who is also a sergeant on the Toronto ETF. My question was how often your elusive SF buddies have used the taser in combat and how often of those times in cold weather. I have provided those numbers. It is okay to say you have absolutely no clue.
  20. Why, people kill people, not guns kill people. With that in mind, what could possibly be wrong with a high school teenager having a gun in her locker.
  21. It will be interesting to see how often they have used it in combat, and how often they have used it in combat in cold climates.
