Large part of my job is firing people....doesn't mean I would describe it as fun. When I am about to arrest a highly combative person, I get a great adrenaline dump, which results in a high, doesn't mean I think it is fun to arrest people. And these things are not even on the same playing field as killing. He is judge, jury and executioner? He personally witnissed these things for every man he killed? Not saying it didin't happen, but it sounds more like personal justification in this case. Guess I am in the minority of people on here who thinks it is worrysome that some one would enjoy killing another person. Now go away and think

Wasn't a bash, just indicating where the guy is from and that the troops he commands are currently actively involved. Rest assured, if it had been a Canadian General, I would have specified that too.....
-
Exactly, is is actually a good thing that people like to kill
-
Exactly, with Kofi announcing today he will punish the UN employee responsible for the OFF program based on an interim report by a committee investigating the program.

scary this guy is a US Marine General.... From: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/washington/articles/2005/02/04/marine_general_says_its_fun_to_shoot_some_in_combat/ among many other places....

Since he obviously thinks the defence lawyers are currently not competent, I wonder why he allowed so many to be put to death?
-
he must be a gun owner as well
-
Since China bought those missiles as well and has nuclear capabilities, does that mean they should be invaded to?
-
Wouldn't you by definition have that fear? If you had no fear of being attacked, then you would not buy a gun for self defence. If you did not fear your house burning down, why would you get the fire extuingisher?

I have a bunch as well, just pm me your email addy if you want one.

In pharmacology, all drugs have two names - a trade name and generic name. For example, the trade name of Tylenol is acetaminophen. Aleve is known as naproxen, and Advil is ibuprofen. The Industry has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced the generic name of mycoxafloppin. Also considered were mycoxafailin, mydixadrupin, mydixarizin, mydixadud, dixafix, and of course ibepokin. Pfizer Inc. recently indicated that Viagra will soon be available in liquid form and be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer. Pepsi's ad campaign claims it will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one. Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink. This additive gives new meaning to the names of cocktails, highballs and just a good old fashioned stiff drink. Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of Mount & Do. It should also be noted that over the past few years, more money has been spent on breast implants and Viagra than on Alzheimer's research. It is believed that as the population ages, there will be a large number of people wandering around with huge breasts and erections, who can't remember what to do with them.

Wasn't meant as a political statement, or was i laying blame with Bush. I see the same thing happening here in Canada. naturally this is not something that happened overnight. Unfortunately, neither government seems to be in a real hurry to change it....funny enough in the US it is a Conservative government and in Canada it is a liberal government.
-
That statement is a little laughable..... You believe that your president and administration was completely honest with you with regards to Iraq. I don't share that belief with you. I think the UN does do good work on other issues and I would not call the whole organization useless. The rest of my statements are obvious and clear enough, you and I will never agree on those, so not much sense in continuing ad nauseum. You are free to now post your customary last word.

No in my opinion it isn't. The US will never go into Sudan, there is no strategic gain. I guess I will just say it that clearly since reading between the lines is not something people are good at in SC. By the way, when do you think the US will enforce the UN resolutions against Israel?
-
specially considering the "artist" that comes from Quebec
-
Not at all, I think it is a travesty and I am equally outraged at my own countries refusal to consider it a genocide or do anything. That is all beside the point I was making though.... The first couple of lines of your post indicate though that you are more interested in creating spin than answering questions or debating posts.

Speaking of UN messes......underneith is a list of Security Council resolutions Isreal has violated or is currently violating. Since the US seems to have taken on the responsibility of cleaning up those messes, when do you think they will get to that one?
-
Not at all, just indicating that when you point your fingers, you have to include yourself in this case. The US is partly to blame for the oil for food scandal, yes.
-
She is free not to take the job offer. She has been unemployed for a year. You telling me that in that year she was not able to secure any employment as a waitress or maybe a fast food worker? She most certainly is orced to do something....like take a more serious look at that job as hamburger flipper.
-
That is exactly what I am trying to say!!!!! Thank you for understanding my point!!! You can't claim you went into Iraq just for humanitarian issue and to spread freedom and democracy around the world and then not go into Sudan. And since you and I agree that you can't have it both ways, it means that there is more at play in Iraq. So either some one fucked up big time, or there are reasons for invading Iraq that have not been admitted to.... which one do you think it is?
-
I agree completely.
-
it is not me saying they should or should not, it is the fact that the US has stated that they will. The US president has stated that even if they had known there were no WMDs invading Iraq was the right thing to do, so they can bring freedom and democracy. So it wasn't about strategic interests. Further, the US president in his inauguration speech indicated it is his attention to bring freedom and democracy to all who need it. Yet, no action on Sudan....just doesn't seem to act up. Unless he let a couple of thousand die to prove that the UN is useless?
-
That is not the right question to ask though. It should be, if Iraq has a positive ending, does the end justify the means...
-
I am sorry, I thought the latest justification was that SH was a bad man.
