I guess you missed the big signs coming into the country telling you they are illegal????? What really gets me is this: If you have the radar detector why are you going under the speed limit? I had the same happen to me once, in Ontario, with Ontario plates. That is how i found out they really do have radar detector detectors

Muenkel, in a sense that is a bit of a funny read. Taking into account that Bush had the worst approval rating of any president on its second inauguration. I think much will depend on how long the Iraqi war continues and how it is dealt with.
-
ah yes, but your president has no told all that he will help all who are opressed. I agree that there are more ways than an invasion to do this. So, do you think the US will cut its economic and diplomatic ties with China until it creates a free and democratic society?
-
I agree. I think that the big difference between Iraq and China is that in the fist case, the regular Iraqi forces were no match for the US. In China's case that is far from the truth. Hence, they will not just roll over and play nice. A US threat doesn't mean much to them. On top of that, the US economy would almost be crippled if it could not do business with China. There was a lot of talk about freedom and standing by those that are oppressed and all that great sounding bullshit. I say bullshit, because I doubt the US will stand by the opressed people of China and invade that country to liberate those that are being tortured. Same say it is smart to only pick the fights you know you can win. But one should not wonder why many think you are a bully when you do that.
-
Depends on the version of freedom being tauted.
-
I am not sure the US would come out a winner in a war against China.

I would rather face the guy with a stick, that is he has the stick..... You did realize I was agreeing with you.....did you Ron?
-
it is , once you get past the thought that only your system is good.
-
Yeah I agree that very often polls are presented without the proper information. But I think that is a problem inherent to all media.
-
Nah, not at all, but the version where people's freedoms need to be suspended so one person can talk about freedom, well I am not sure that is the ideal either.
-
And what the hell does any of that have to do with the statement that a gun makes killing easier? Doesn't mean killing will stop, blahblahblahblah, just simply that a gun makes it easier....... Jeez......
-
maybe, than there are quite a few Islamic women who do not see themselves as second rate citizens and are quite happy with their life.
-
That would depend on whose version of Freedom we are going by.
-
Why don't you tell me what specifically is wrong with the article?
-
Ohh I thought it was funny, even though it was exactly what the poll was trying to find out. Just don't see what it has to do with reporting quality.
-
I think that any person who relies on just one source of information to make up their minds and draws conclusions has a very high chance of being completely misinformed. Knowing a bit of the background and history of the media outlet provides a basis for understanding slants and editorial remarks.
-
Since in your long tirade you didn't address the original point I guess you agree with me.....
-
If I was bashing anything, it was the world that we live in.... I do find it ironic that many freedoms are being suspended so that one person can talk about freedom. If you don't see some irony there...... The levels of security are unprecedented, we are beyond the simple statement of: we have to protect our president.
-
I guess just for you Ron I should have specified, after the invasion and subsequent findings.

With a country as diverse as Iraq and the turmoil it is in, we really need some more information on how this survey was conducted. Let's say for instance it was conducted by phone, now do the same survey but do it via intercepts in a rural area. I would be pretty sure the results would be very different.
