  1. In my tribe we discuss these differences all the time. Over 90% are Christian and several are ordained ministers. Isn't it a bit hypocritical to "protect" people from a group you mostly agree with?
  2. Of course she has. She is hardly unbiased. Its her son who got shot. I'm sure that when one of your loved ones is killed, you will be very concerned about the fate of the person who pulled the trigger.....
  3. I suggest you examine the subtle difference. To most people the Westboro Baptist Church beliefs are very offensive and idiotic. If your belief structure is only subtly different from theirs, then I do indeed urge you to reflect a little deeper. I wonder what your fellow patriot guard riders would think if you told them your beliefs or only subtly different from those of the Westboro clan.
  4. I'm actually quite enjoying these special olympics. But I guess they have quitters too.
  5. And why is it a waste of time and money oh enlightened one? Is it because American teenagers don't want to see it, or because a parental panel won't let their teenagers see it?
  6. Maybe if you pray a lot, that's where I will go.
  7. You don't do it because it affects MPAA ratings which affects earning potential.
  8. Actually it is quite the reverse. Movies are often edited to get away from the dreaded R rating so they can make more money. Show too much nudity and the R rating will reduce earning potential.
  9. The idea of you counselling anybody is pretty scary. Yup, failed marriages are always the husband's fault.
  10. Would depend on whether or not it came from a nut free facility. have to make sure little johnny doesn't get a rash from his allergies.
  11. And in all of those cases you would not just take an eye witness at face value (no pun intended) because of a presumption of innocence. We know the act occured and we know who the shooter was. Now we have to find out if what he did was illegal.
  12. Bullshit, we know he is guilty of shooting Martin. The question is: Can he be charged with it? If yes, was it self defence? To answer those questions we have to turn to facts and evidence. Part of that is the eye witness testimony, which is problematic since it isn't very reliable. In this case there might be some questions regarding impartiality as well.
  13. Except that is not what is driving the prices at the pump. Quite frequently prices at the pump rise, even as oil falls. Oil supply is not the issue at this point. Refinery capacity is, driving up wholesale prices. Guess who benefits from increased oil and wholesale prices? Guess where Exxon makes most of their profits.... More drilling will result in bigger profits for the oil companies, but will have no effect on the price at the pumps. My stock portfolio will like it, but it is not a solution for pump price reduction.
  14. Except it doesn't take into account Buffet's reasoning for increased taxes on the very rich.
  15. None of those quotes have anything to do with Zimmerman pushing an undercover cop. Wrong again, followed by a strawman. Are you starting to see a pattern?
  16. It amazes me this guy was even in the running.
  17. Not the same as having the charges dropped. You were wrong as usual. And even when you are this obviously wrong, you cannot admit it and just create another strawman. Fox News indeed. First I am hearing of it. If that is what Zimemrman did, good for him! I don't know what the truth is in the case between Zimmerman and Martin. Waiting to see what the outcome of all of this is. Something you seem to be unable to do for yourself.
  18. I didn't describe it as a violent assault. Are you creating strawmen again?
  19. That series should provide some great hockey! And, I'll take the Kings over the Canucks.
  20. Aside from the Buffest Rule question, I don't understand this argument. There is not one viable item that will either raise $1.3 trillion or will reduce costs by $1.3 trillion. The only way to fix this is like how a mouse would eat an elephant, one bite at a time.
  21. Not at all...familyvaluesphobic
  22. Only if they are republican and tap their feet as they do so...
  23. Correct. Since oil companies make the majority of their profits from upstream operations, there is significant benefit in convincing people that increased drilling will lower prices at the pumps.
  24. Stop bothering Mike with the truth, he is simply not interested.
