  1. Interesting read, though the ending reads a little like: I was abused as a kid, therefor I am now a horrible person. There is no doubt that officers see horrible things, as do EMTs and fire fighters. And, the relevant departments need to provide the counselling and oversight to deal with these issues. However, just like the example above, it cannot be used as a mitigating factor for bad behaviour and decision making. Since, if that is the case, the officer isn't capable of doing his job anymore and should be retired or fired.
  2. Yet the black people should stop being so uppity and fall in line. But you should be treated the same as everybody else cause it isn't fair to have a bias.
  3. Of course it would be different Just like the police officer that killed and unarmed black kid in Detroit a couple of weeks ago is viewed differently Why? the cop was black no race pimping can be done so why do it? And Tea Party crusade? Sorry Wendy that boat dont float Or like a rancher who was having some trouble with the feds.....oh wait....that was different.
  4. What was irrelevant is your suggestion that the guy's physical state is what killed him. He was killed by the cop. No he died because broke the law. Cause and effect. Tax evasion is not a capital offense. If it were, a lot of our billionaires would be dead. I broke the speed limit this morning, and didn't die. Cause but no effect. He was killed by the cop. Your flawed again. Being stopped by the police for your crime would be the cause. Effect would be running from the cops, being taken to the ground and dying from a heart attack. Breaking a law in of itself wont kill anyone just as jumping from a plane wont kill you. But when you die skydiving it is absolutely the cause the led to you dying. Thought you were a professor? Yet when we try to figure out why somebody bounced, we don't just say: He shouldn't have jumped from an airplane.
  5. Unless the precinct chief and the patrol sargeant were the ones who killed him, I am not sure how your logaic allows you to proclaim it is not racial. The same group of people who complain here on DZ.com that they are being treated differently by the moderators, appear to be the same group of people to argue that if "these people" would just behave properly there wouldn't be a problem. I don't know how you guys all suck and blow at the same time.
  6. Wow you're going to judge law enforcement personnel based on a few instances? Were they beaten? Were they given a summons? Did they even ask for an explanation for being stopped? Probably not. Did they take the officer's names down and question their immediate supervisor regarding the stop? Probably not. And please don't say that they were in fear for their life because a gun was drawn on them. At any point in time they can ask questions about why they're being stopped. Besides providing the information regarding the man in his own driveway being shot because the police thought he was driving a stolen, do you have the complete details of that incident. Probably not. I thought they were supposed to just do as they are told and not ask questions? Your other "questions" seem to imply you are ok with the behaviour as long as they didn't get a summons or they weren't beaten. Keep believing that this is all just a "race industry" and race baiter" problem and that there really isn't an actual problem. I am sure that is the best way.
  7. Meh if you don't do anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about. There is no bias, don't act like a thug and you don't get treated like a thug. When you get approached, just do as your told. You can bring up any concerns you have in the suggestions and comments section of the forums after. (I can't be the only one seeing the irony)
  8. Yet, the answer to the war on drugs is supposedly legalizing them. Tobacco is legal. So, guess that isn't the answer either.
  9. Yes it was. A statement of fact, responding to a response to your original question. One might even describe that as a conversation. Guess you share the "lefties fetish".
  10. If not taken to trial he can not be found guilty period Now you are getting it. which in this country, under our justice system means inocence, UNLESS PROVEN GUILTY Which means you cannot object to the statement that the officer shot and killed an unarmed, innocent man. (And no, I don't believe Brown was innocent)
  11. If not taken to trial he can not be found guilty period Now you are getting it. which in this country, under our justice system means inocence, UNLESS PROVEN GUILTY We have a whole lot of "innocent" folks in jails, then, don't we? So you are saying they were not proven guilty? There are a lot of people in jail who haven't even been to trial. Some may never even go to trial. You are not talking about crimnals here and you know it Some might be criminals, some might be found not-guilty.

  13. If not taken to trial he can not be found guilty period Now you are getting it. which in this country, under our justice system means inocence, UNLESS PROVEN GUILTY Yes that is the catchphrase. But since courts determine guilty or not-guilty, the catchphrase is not completely accurate. Not that uncommon for catchphrases, since their guiding principle is catchiness, not thruthiness.

  15. Dude this IS our legal system Says the man who thinks legal cases end in findings of innocense. Gravity, you are right, the grand jury decided that what the officer did was legal. Incorrect. A Grand Jury decides if there is enough evidence to proceed with a trial for the specific charges. No shit Sherlock.... therefore he is inocent No, therefore there will be no charges/indictement. Therefor there will not be a trial to determine whether he is guilty or not guilty. I am not even being accused of anything, but as my wife and ex-wife will tell you, I am far from innocent. (I really don't understand why you have such a hard time understanding that court proceedings do not announce people as innocent. Pretty simple concept, but you really seem to struggle with it)
  16. Maybe...but I have to say Iran has to be on the top of the list of countries I would like to visit. I hear the best tour there is called "the Embassy Package". True, without fail people who have been there state it is their favourite destination and that the people are just incredibly friendly and hospitable.

  18. I don't disagree. However when you compare Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift, there are certainly some differences. Not all those differences relate to PR and Marketing. Some of those relate to class, personality and character in my opinion. And no, I am not a fan, nor do I care for her music. But, I can appreciate what she is accomplishing.
  19. The only reliable way to solve differences in opinion is through a dual a sun rise with California legal AR-15s. California legal AR = Unicorn I'm sorry, are you trying to start a conversation? Must be some left wing pinko commie!

  21. Meh you are running around accusing people of being junkies and having phone sex. So typical of your type of personality. You like to dish it out, but go running to mommy when it gets returned.
  22. You were looking in a miror when you posted this? No, I was looking at a computer screen. But, now I understand why your sentences tend to look so funny.
  23. Because jokes tend to not be politically correct. That's why I still chuckled when somebody posted a picture with the punchline that work boots were not getting stolen in Ferguson. Of course, I could also be outraged about the blatanmt racist remark. How could anybody be such an incredible low-life..etc etc. Like you are reacting. Actually, the funniest of jokes are closely related to truth this is a fact I first thought he was joking Listening to the end? I am not as sure Probably why I chuckled and you belly laughed.
  24. Lol, you are the one who brought up illegal voting and illegal immigrants.
