  1. And when they have killed them all, then what? Just too bad? Those who are poor will do almost anything for money, without any regard for the long term impacts.
  2. All true. Except when they shoot some one for reaching for thei wallet, they are pre-empting their training. Their muscle memory fires based on what they think the outcome will be, not what the actual outcome is. That is a problem.
  3. Way to take responsibility for your own actions. Provided badly outdated information, or didn't do enough research? I don't know how many times you have had 4 months notice to pack your entire house, put the house on the market, do a good hand over of your job and responsibilities to another person, turn in a bunch of equipment, clear a military base, clear a unit, move 1000 miles away to a state you've never been to and inprocess a new post, draw new equipment, search for suitable housing, close on a house, and move into said house and unpack, and then get ready for your next deployment that is just around the corner. I took my information guide from the provost Marshall and didn't spend a lot of time second guessing everything. In the military, you have to trust your leadership sometimes. Unfortunately, most people outside the military, and most democrats could give a fuck less about it so we are always busy watching our backs because of stuff like this Other than the military part about 12 times in the last 15 years. Just started the process for number 13. I wouldn't trust anybody with possible felony charges on the line, until I had verified it myself.
  4. What is currently in place really isn't that important. But if you want to maintain that into the future, you need a certain amount of people to work and pay taxes etc. Without immigration you have a declining population. A declining population wouldn't allow you to maintain what you currently have in the future, since you'll have a bunch of retired old people and very few young people to pay their share. The welfare state Ponzi scheme. Has nothing to do with welfare state. In order to have money to invest in infrastructure (or pick any part of the government you somewhat agree with), you need people working and paying taxes. You need a somewhat healthy economy. Having an aging population without new growth precludes all that.

  6. Actually you are not. Like you said, you just got lucky.
  7. Scenario goes, you are active duty military. Throught the previous 10 years of your career you had purchased various handguns in various states that you had been stationed in. All of them from FFL dealers, passing background checks and in full compliance of the law. You are happily living in TN while stationed at Ft. Cambell, KY. You are in full compliance of the law. You get orders to PCS to Ft. Drum, NY, with a report date less than 120 days away. You sell your house, pack up, clear post, report to Ft. Drum, declare that you have firearms and show all your paperwork. You have unknowingly committed a class A felony because NY has a different interpretation of the constitution than the rest of the country. Then your hand guns are taken on the spot and stored in a government arms room for the 20 months it takes you to get a NY permit. Total cost for permit and registering each gun was $870, not counting restoration work that had to be done on a couple because someone decided to play around with them while they were in storage and scratch them up. And oh by the way, not only was everything legal in the rest of the U.S., I had a CCW that was valid in 38 other states. But your right. Makes perfect sense. Like explaining colors to the blind. Nobody ever said all laws make sense. Ignorance of the law is never really considered a valid defence though. Stupid laws can lead to silly things, like life sentences for shoplifting or becoming a felon for transporting legal firearms. Since many are unable to feel any empathy or sympathy for the first example, he answer usually is: He should have just obeyed the law. You are getting the same answer.

  9. Turtle just likes getting a reaction. Rush is pretty similar. They post more to get a response than to actually have a discussion.
  10. You need those immigrants to grow the country, same in Canada. Current residents aren't having enough babies.
  11. You keep saying that, but you never offer what you do think the problem is.
  12. Interesting how when bad things happen it was the person, when good things happen it was the gun. At least try and keep your logic the same.... You ignore sarcasm when it suits you But You blame the gun Cant you credit the gun? I am just sayin........ I have never blamed the gun. I have indicated I believe the easy availability of guns to be a large contributing factor to the violence issue in the US.

  14. Because a politician agreed, now it is the truth? Back to the first point we go. Secondly, if you do believe it to be the truth, why aren't you demanding the officers get fired for not doing their job?
  15. Don't you think we have enough problems here? Why would you want more? You ever answer a question?
  16. Maybe not, but that is the direction it is heading in.
  17. Kinda difficult when the slightest bit of racial interjection into it, real or imagined, could end your career, even if you are doing the exact right thing. Kinda like in skydiving, you can do everything exactly right, and still die. I can see where inaction to save a life or stop a crime would absolutely be more desirable than sticking your neck out just to get it chopped off by a race baiter. Can't take the responsibility of the job, quit. Other people will be willing to take it. If no-one is willing, the market will change until people are. Interesting how quickly you give up those free market principles when it is a subject you agree needs quicker change.
  18. Maybe because CNN decided to do this differently than the Republican debates? LMAO, yes THAT is the reason....
  19. Nothing wrong with either I agree, the bald eagle should no longer be protected. Always fancied one of those on my walls.
  20. We are about to elect a snowboard instructor to become our next Prime Minister. His father was famous though. Fotunately he is nowhere as crazy as Trump and Carson, your front runners on the Republican side. Trump I'll credit with just doing this for his own benefit. Carson seems downright crazy, how can that guy be second in the polls? Well "your and republican" is not me. Do you need to see the proof? The flag beside your name indicates you are in America, which makes American frontrunners on the Republican side, your front runners on the Republican side.
  21. Amazing how quickly people believe what a politician says if it alligns with their own beliefs. All other times a politician lies when his lips are moving.
  22. What if the lion was a menace to villages, was old and sick, or was affecting the herd of other lions and would be better off dead for the herd as a whole. Sounds like a practical reason. Of course none of that was the case here.
