Hey Democrats. Do you think your primary vote matters?
SkyDekker replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes ridicule this insane idea that if the French were more like the Americans there would be less dead. This idiotic idea that Americans seem to have, that the rest of the world wants to be like them. -
Let them do the research first, peer review it and go from there. You are in favour of banning something because of what might happen. Like banning a gun, because it might be used for something nefarious.

Assumptions? So the science isn't settled and you cannot get to a number of people whom have died, SPECIFICALLY, from smoking? For now smoking, by far! If we continue to grow and not care about our impact, that will change. Eventually. -

How many have specifically died from smoking? If that is an impossible questions to answer, does that mean the science regarding the health effects of smoking is not settled? -
When the head of CDC sits on the board of directors of one of the largest anti-gun organizations, and says publicly that the research will be used to prove the need to control guns, then I'd be inclined to call that sort of 'research' "biased." And so it should be banned? When you don't agree with someone, they should be silenced? Seems counter to what America always claims to stand for.

If they were all Americans, they would have had more guns. And many more than 130 people would die every week. If Americans have shown one thing, you are good at killing. Specially your own. I love how a country with a society that kills at a higher rate than all other Western countries is proclaiming that if only France was like them, there would be less dead. 130 Is an absolute tragedy in France. In the US it is a peaceful day.

That's funny coming from the guy whose sole intent in this forum is to "push buttons" and get responses. -

I can't help it that you are really selective in what you consider political correctness. When you are offended people are rude, when others get offended it is due to political correctness. -
Mainstream news providers are not to be trusted, but a video on youtube is solid proof. thanks for providing some explanation for where your opinions come from. Helps framing your future responses.

the CDC has a track record of not being unbiased on this topic before. Only a fool would want to let them try again Unbiased being defined as: anything that isn't pro-gun. Obviously.

And the PC crowd whines again. Grow some balls, be a man and stop feeling so sorry for yourself. The pussyfication of America for all to see. Oh, sorry, is that only when other people are upset? Oops. So you are ok with racism and ethnic slurs? Wow i figured you for someone else then. So you think everybody should be politically correct. Wow, I figured you for someone else then. -
Yeah, just like the Titanic "leans" toward the bottom of the ocean. Correct, Brietbart has taken the shit to a whole new level. So Breitbart stars every half hour with hit pieces on liberals for two days like CNN does??? (two easy examples. the Carson hit pieces and the time when Bush's pole numbers hit their lowest level) Dude you have no idea of what you talk about Same for Bill! LOFL You claim not to watch CNN or any of the other main stream news providers. So where exactly do you get the information about what CNN does or doesn't do?

If it's inevitable that the OTHER party will win
SkyDekker replied to kallend's topic in Speakers Corner
Signing laws, vetoing laws and meeting with leaders of other countries have consequences, sometimes very serious consequences. Invading other countries is pretty serious, specially when you end up spending a couple of trillion on it. Guess you label those as not of consequence? Not really following you here. -
That sounds all really nice, but at some point as a society you make decisions as to what is absolutely not acceptable and you try and "ban" that behavior by penalizing it.

Seriously? I would think Iraq would look significantly different right now if Bush had not been president. If you think that the leader of a country has absolutely no impact on that country, you may want to lay of the mind altering substances and read a history book. I'll correct myself: The individual president SHOULDN'T matter, in theory. In practice, William Henry Harrison remains the only president I admire. Pretty funny that you just accused someone who has never had alcohol or recreational drugs of being drunk or high, though. There are non-recreational mind altering substances. Quite a few of them. It was either that, utterly naïve, or incredibly dumb. And the individual President should matter. It should matter a lot. Why you would think that the leader of a country shouldn't matter? Do you think all leaders should have no influence over those they lead? -

Agreed, let them lick those lead toys, not like evolution won't eventually catch up.

Who do Breitbart and Blaze support anyways?
-
I believe you touched on part of his point. Thanks for agreeing. So you agree that the Grand Jury declining to indict the New York Police Officer in the Eric Garner case was exactly what the prosecutor wanted and had no bearing on actual evidence. Thanks for agreeing.
-
I don't know, but he sure does get cranky when people don't do what he wants them to do. He should apply to become a police officer, seems to be a common trait amongst them.

Because of things like this: 'So, in the end, if Carson did lie, it does not matter now does it.' Jerry Baumchen What difference, at this point, does it really make anyway? 66,500 pages. She lied, by a factor of over 1,000% Hillary lied about why 4 Americans died, which is more important in your book? Bush lied, 4,400 Americans died, and over $1 Trillion was pissed away. Which is more important in your book? You first. The shame is using the 4 dead Americans to try and diminish the poll numbers of a candidate of another party. Specially when you are so incredibly incompetent you cannot even accomplish that, after a couple of million and 4 dead Americans. But I guess the effort is what counts right?
