Knowing how to read and having reading comprehension isn't semantics. They are very different. The only connection being that you need to be able to read to have reading comprehension. Strike three. Just like being able to use the gas, break and steering wheel in a car allows you to drive. Using indicators properly etc. means you can effectively participate in traffic while driving.

No that would be reading comprehension. Clearly I can read, considering I am responding. Incorrect assumption. That you have enough written english to respond doesn't necessarily mean you know all the big words. But if you're saying it was your comprehension that was at fault then I'll trust you on that. Try not to let it happen again though

Trump proposes mandatory registration for US Muslims
SkyDekker replied to jclalor's topic in Speakers Corner
Looking at this performance I can only agree with you. He has created a stage where he can really indulge his massive egomania. So where in the rule book does it say Politics can't be fun, It's his money and he can do as he likes with it. If he wins I might even think of emigrating to the USofA (legally of course) Not sure if making fun of some one with a handicap on a national stage is "fun" when it comes to politics. You are a classic hook line and sinker guy That if it fits your world view Maybe, but at least I don't live somewhere where Donald Trump and his racists, misogynist views are the best my country has to offer. At the risk of going Godwin, there are stronger parallels with 1930s Germany. -
But that dude is white and probably a Christian, how can we call him a terrorist?

And what about cop shoots kid, 4 or so other cops present during shooting. Shooting is extremely questionable and is caught on tape. How many cops are involved to sweep that one under the rug and ensure no nearby businesses have video of the incident? Now lets say there are 20 questionable major incidents like that per year. Now how many cops are involved?

How about instead of using your gut instinct you use your brain and do some Google searches on that subject. There are a few studies about police corruption from the FBI that will give you some better numbers about this than the shit you are gobbling up from the anti cop media. There are also some groups out there who are private and tracking this with level headed statistics and not emotion. From what I can tell using the FBI and private sources they estimate from 1-10% are bad cops using that term to cover things like corruption, ethics, leadership, etc. Its worth doing something about for sure but dammit go at it with some thought, facts, and not emotions. I doubt that 1% to 10% number counts all those cops who know one of their "brothers" did something wrong, but they aren't speaking up.

Have you forgotten Mali, Somalia, Sudan, Nigeria, Kenya, The Philippines, Chechnya, Afghanistan, Pakistan, hell even China has extremest Muslims... In all of these countries there have been attacks. This is literally a global problem. No I haven't quite forgotten. Some people need a reminder that arab = muslim isn't quite correct....in either direction.
-
I'm still curious about that; Was there a separate hidden camera *and* hidden VCR the cops didn't know about? My understanding is they did indeed just miss one camera....not sure how it recorded through, VCR or straight to the cloud somewhere.

With all due respect, what ISIS is doing has nothing to do with politics. It's PURE terrorism. They have absolutely no regard for life. They want a caliphate for themselves to rule as they want, and fuck anybody that disagrees with it. I hope the world unites and kills every last one of them motherfuckers. Politics is all about power. What ISIS is trying to accomplish is all about power. It certainly is about politics, and the politics of the middle-east are specifically completely.....fucked.

Two things about that, first it's unbelievable how brazen that is. If it would be difficult to discipline the other officers who were there (if anyone in authority actually gave a fuck) since 'it was dark, everything happened fast, I reported what I thought I saw' etc then surely this should be a slam dunk firing and prosecution? You would think...but these guys I don't think have been prosecuted yet at all: https://youtu.be/JTKTfUHfeKM

Which has been going on for decades. Only now that video of the incidents become public is some attention given to this. The behavior of most police forces is simply no different than the behavior of most large crime organizations. Those who speak up get punished. You are expected to back up your "brother", whether you agree with his actions or not. The inner workings of the department are not discussed with outsiders. Same guiding principles are behind the Mafia, 1% MCs, Drug Cartels, the list goes on and on. It is a simple extortion racket. Since any discussion of looking into their actions is usually met with "oh but the whole city will be unsafe and violence will rise if we do anything different". Basically pay your protection money.....or else.

And again the story will be, how it is only one bad apple, that there are no systematic issues. Ohh, look a muslim....

I saw a video on TV news of someone being shot (once with a 9mm) for refusing to drop a knife, and considered it a display of rank amateurism on the part of the cop. A taser would have done the trick with no risk to law enforcement of the population, and I know a few cops who would have disarmed the hell out of the guy with a PR-24. This incident was downright obscene. One round to drop the kid would have been excessive. Using his prostrate body for target practice thereafter should land the badge carrying perp behind bars for the rest of his life. Anyone who participated in protecting the criminal in blue should become a civilian immediately. This is the kind of behavior that gives third world law enforcement a bad name. BSBD, Winsor State prosecutor should be charged too, that whole side of the system has been trying to protect this cop for as long as they could.

Decent likelihood Rob Ford will be dead by the time the Presidential Elections come around. They found two more tumours, on his bladder this time. even still - that particular status might be a preferable choice to whatever the current two parties will be offering at the time I'm voting for the inanimate carbon rod. Why do you hate ponies so much? Vote Vermin Supreme.

It is supposed to reduce the risk of importing a terrorist through the Syrian refugees. Should be noted this is only in place for the 25,000 Syrian refugees to be brought to Canada prior to the end of the year.

No your ignorance of how it all works is what matters here. http://nashvillecitypaper.com/content/city-news/type-pi-%E2%80%94-us-postal-inspectors-%E2%80%94-delivers-goods The U.S. Postal "system" exists beyond the actual delivery by USPS to your house. The "system" includes places where mail is stored such as, mailboxes, bins, or any other location commonly used to place mail. As well as different carriers such as FexEX and UPS. You probably did not know that USPS delivers amazon prime only on sundays, and that private carriers(fedex UPS) deliver overflow FOR the USPS every day. http://www.criminal-lawyers-miami.com/lawyer-attorney-1570582.html And to the other poster you are right it is such a small issue that it wasn't really necessary to involve the USPIS but it could have been available if this was a higher level of crime. Before you start highlighting ignorance, you may want to do some more digging. Both the cases you highlight here have no relevance to the situation communicated by normiss. It was neither a suspect item shipped through a courier, nor could it be labeled as mail fraud. It was theft (or maybe attempted theft) of an item contained within a private courier envelope/box. Opening USPS mail addressed to somebody else is a crime, but does that extend to private couriers? If that is the case, you are correct. If not, than you end up being the one showing the ignorance.

$1,000,000 for each minute of fame Tell his buddy Obama to fork it over. That money would go a long way supporting ISIL, wouldn't it? You have any evidence this kid's family has tie to ISIL, or they just look the same so they must have? im not accusing anyone of having ties to anything. Why do you assume I am, do they look like they might to you? That's a pretty big leap in assumptions. I simply commented that ISIL would love to get their hands on that money. One of the more idiotic back-peddles. Seems like you haven't quite decided if you are going full troll or if you want to actually have something to contribute from time to time.

radio story over lunch - Canada refusing to let single male refugees into the country.....Have to go find a cite to confirm....seems like that restriction is still short a couple of key adjectives before it's reasonable. This story is mostly correct. Male refugees "travelling" alone will not be allowed into Canada, they have to be part of a family unit. Not clear to me at this point if family unit would include two brothers, or a father and son.

I don't know how you pulled my work ethic into this, but okay. I don't have any assistance from my employer with health care. I pay everything out of pocket. I've had several raises but income isn't very equal to cost of living "around here". Sure, I could move. But I love it here so I'm going to make it work. I can cut back on other expenses to afford the measly $15 hike, but I'd rather put that somewhere else. I never said it was Obama's fault. My post wasn't aimed at you specifically. I though the "Around here" would have made that clear.

They recently relocated from a liberal state. They didn't believe in gun ownership. Maybe people should stop trying to pretend evil doesn't exist and drop this delusion that a couple of new gun restrictions will fix the problem. But this shouldn't happen in an armed society. Texans are known to have guns, so why would this happen in the first place? Transfer was held up in paperwork. And the attacker just happened to know that about these people. Seems unlikely.
