That's what happens to people who are perceived to be a criminal based on how they look or where they happen to be. In some cases the response is: don't dress like a thug if you don't want to be treated like a thug. Funny enough I haven't seen anybody suggest that if you don't want to be treated like a 1%er, don't dress like one.

Just goes to show that going to Vietnam and being a state trooper doesn't make you particularly smart.

Yup, and they should have known that before they applied for the job. Not a justification for pre-emptive shootings. Not really. The problem for police is that now their actions are getting recorded on video much more frequently. What that has done is given the other side a voice in the debate. Up until now the police side of the story has carried much more weight. Video is evening that out and showing that like most people, cops tend to lie to cover up their mistakes.

Not really. Most, if not all sane people understand that man has an effect on climate change. Most sane arguments are regarding the severity of that impact, specially on a longer term.

Point out the lies please Sure, right after you prove that you aren't beating your wife anymore. I soon as I start I will stop A lie already. -
I think that if anybody is specifically known on this site for sticking to a story line, no matter what actual evidence is suggesting, it would be you. So, that was a rather funny comment. Well done making a funny.

True, but unlike you I don't believe it to be correct just because the GOP thinks that way.

Rush, do you have an actual report, or just the Fox spin of the anti abortion group's reading of it? -
Hillary Clinton started the Birther movement against BHO???
SkyDekker replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
Considering the amount of digging that was supposedly done to unearth this "evidence", it would seem Hillary was smart enough to quickly realize it was an incredibly idiotic idea. Some very stupid people never realized that and kept going. If anything this strategy has shown how gullable and stupid some people are. Right, which is why you try and gloat about this.... -

So it has nothing to do with this supposed illegal activity captured on video, but with their travel expenses? Talk about moving the goal posts.... -
I do wonder why the GOP is the only mainstream political party in the world denying climate science. Hard to believe a party responsible for the likes of Trump and Palin would be the only ones who get the science right.

Ahhh ok, yes now it makes sense.

What regulation is costing Whole Foods? More specifically, what regulations are impacting Whole Foods differently from its competitors?

No, nor am I in any way interested what she has to say about marriage. Nor does it matter to the issue at hand....which is her doing her job. How she feels about gay marriage has nothing to do with that, (The rest is just irony. Like Keith Richards discussing healthy living) If you are lucky enough to reach 71 and still be able to perform a 2 hour set before tens of thousands of paying fans, your simile might have some relevance. Bullshit. If a lottery winner had counted on those winnings for his pensions, then counting on lottery winnings for your pension is still a bad idea. The fact Keith Richards is still alive doesn't make the lifestyle he lived healthy.

Some felons can legally buy guns. Why would you not want people to be able to legally excersoze their rights? How do you illegally exersize your rights?

No, it is people's willingness to swallow anything purely based on political ideology that caused this waste of money. People unwilling to listen to reason and logic based on heavily edited video that caused this waste of money. -
There are no regulations that inhibit their profitability. Other companies being able to compete on price with them is what is hurting their profitability. Which is a fine example of how capitalism (free market) works. If cutting jobs delivers more profit, then under capitalistic principles one should always cut those jobs. (assuming one does not put long term viability in danger)

Maybe not where you live Hell, a woman left a multi-million dollar estate to her cat Just take a bit of paper work BTW I think the gov should get out of the marriage business anyway I wasn't discussing estate issues.

Power of Attorney can be challenged in court. Not that easy to challenge a married partner's right. Don't believe survivor benefits can be directed through a power of attorney.

Agreed on the first part Second Marriage is not a right Marriage comes with rights. I can agree with that But marriage is not a requirement for those rights In some cases I believe it is, at least if you want your partner to have those rights.
