Riots over a shoting turn into free jordans and 40's
SkyDekker replied to Anvilbrother's topic in Speakers Corner
Uhm, no. Anvil made a claim. I brought a story suggesting his claim wasn't true. He want's to dispute the story I brought, fine. He doesn't want to, fine. Last time I checked this was a website and not a courtroom. If the two of you are fucked up enough that you agree with a shoplifting charge leading to a life sentence without parole, because he may have a previous criminal history....I won't be feeding that attitude either. Hence....no. -

Right.... From: [url]http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/nov/13/us-prisoners-sentences-life-non-violent-crimes*** (that was just the first google hit) -
You make my point You don't think the courts should be involved? Yet, you are the first to exclaim how the Supreme Court has always upheld the 2nd amendment.

Cats kill birds, rabbits etc and mark territory by spraying or digging on property, causing damage. You are just angry you can't cuddle with the local grizzly.

No offense, but

California to ban secrecy in police shootings

It isn't and I think that is exactly what upsets Anvil -
Unless the bear came in your house and ate the cat, the issue is with you letting the cat outside. I don't see the issue. One less cat, problem solved. How does one reward the bear for his service? Feed it another one? and you think this is funny, do you? Yes, specially since in another thread you are raving on about how anything that is illegal should be punished. Not controlling your cat and having it wander of your property is technically illegal. Interesting how in this thread the problem is the bear.

I don't see that. SH was bad, no doubt about it. Problem is that what we have now is worse. By removing a bad person under extremely questionable pretenses, things have gotten much worse. WHich all has nothing to do with the attitude these days that any compromise is seen as weakness. (which doesn't mean everything has to be compromised either)

Thank you for putting it that way, I completely agree. -
Nobody here is trying to pass laws either, we are just having a discussion. Yet, that doesn't stop you from calling anybody with differing views a radical trying to force their way into your home. If anything the NRA has far more influence on the creation of laws than DZ.com posters. Once again, your logic is faulty.
-
Name any belligerent in any conflict, anywhere, anytime, and on either side, that this statement (opinion) cannot also be used to support their justification as well. Specially now, when any compromise is seen as weakness.

From Fox news - YOUR preferred media outlet: http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2012/04/26/how-to-store-guns-safely-in-your-home/ So I think you just called the NRA 'anti-gun nuts' which would be hilarious if you weren't demonstrating all the signs of being one of those nutters with a gun.... In your world? I am sure I am a gun nut In my world, you are a radical who wishes to insert themself into everybody elses business. How about you respond to the NRA advice? Anybody else who has stated that, you have labelled as ant-gun nuts who should stay out of your house.
-
Priceless. Nothin like ranting about something, to then lead into doing the exact same thing.
-
I don't disagree, but am interested in the reasoning behind that statement. Is it because theft is illegal, or because you believe locking it inside the house is prudent enough?
-
That logic would hold if the UK has the same murder rate per capita as the US.
-
Of course you can. Just not sure you do.
-
Knives are also a target of criminals, designed to kill and maim even when used properly, easy to conceal, fascinating to children, and even a three year old can stab themselves with one. The rules for the safe storage of different items of death and injury should be appropriately argued out not biased because you are a liberal anti-gun rights activist. Activist lol. You and rush certainly like to throw the labels out there. Does that make it easier to google a response? Guns are much more effective killing tools. If you don't believe me, bring a knife to the next gun fight and let us know how it works out for you.
-
***Linking these all together to just call a theft a theft is a dishonest argument lol Some logical honesty going on there. You seem to be getting tired of getting whooped on here why dont you just back away? You call that whooping? No wonder you need a gun lmao I will back away though, you seem like the guy who would shoot some one in the back.

Yet taking an object from a locked house, an unlocked house or an open, private yard are all theft. Hence, you do clearly believe that as an owner you bare some responsibility for some one stealing your gun and using it for nefarious purposes. You just draw the line at "locked house".
-
If you left your gun in your front yard overnight and somebody took it to rob a corner store, you do not think you should bare any responsibility? If you left your car parked in your drive way, with the keys in it. A drunk steals it and runs someone over. Do you think you should bare any responsibility? I take it your answer is no then. I disagree, I do believe the owner bares some responsibility in that scenario. And all objects are simply not the same, nor are all locations. Specifics matter.
