Animal style! w/ Animal Style Fries! Damn them for being 2 blocks from my home! DAMN THEM! Wish they had In-and-Out here on the east coast. Animal style is the only kind I tried from in-and-out when I was in California, and it was one of the best burgers I ever tasted. I think that was when I first understood the true meaning of sin. I knew it was wrong, but I was hoping Kharlamov was gone for the series so bad anyway. I would rank that up there as one of the most despicable acts committed in a hockey arena. Your reaction really sums it up nicely. Are you talking about this hit by Bobby Clarke in the 1972 Summit Series? The video says the name is Pospisil...unless this isn't the hit you're referring to. The Flyers. God I hope not! My hate for them and Bobby Clarke is now in its fourth decade. I hope that I die without ever seeing them hoist the Cup again. That being said, Clarke has provided me with a couple of good laughs over the years. Most recently when he was cutting up Eric Lindros (a player I've always despised...even more than the Flyers) during their feud and a long time ago when Hockey Night in Canada introduced a "Sounds of the Game" feature that was LIVE. Bruce Hood, the referee, sent Clarke to the penalty box, the camera was on Clarke, the microphone was turned on and Clarke yelled "HOOD YOU FUCKIN QUEER!" 1. He's not "my guy" -- I didn't vote for him. In fact I am appalled at his wreckless spending, which his predecessor initiated. 2. I'm not doing anything for "my guy" -- certainly not defending him. I simply don't give a shit because this controversy is utterly meaningless. His bow will not affect anything in our everyday lives. I expected him to be smarter than to give a bullshit explanation for what looked like an obvious bow. But again, I simply don't care about his gesture to the king. However, I still think that he's heaps smarter than the last guy. Still doesn't mean he's "my guy." I agree wholeheartedly with that, and I've been voting third party for as long as I've been voting. Unfortunately, the rest of the nation hasn't followed suit and it looks like they won't for a very long time. So what's your beef with Jenny McCarthy? Do you work for a pharmaceutical company? I know she's not a scientist, but thanks to the information she shares about how she treated her son's autism, my nephew is doing much better than he was doing a couple years ago, when he couldn't talk or communicate in any way due to his autistic condition. He's now in first grade with typical children. I'd like to run this by the fellow who wrote that article you linked to. The earthquake happened in the capital of the region that my family is from, Abruzzo. Fortunately, our part of the region is about an hour south of where the earthquake hit -- they felt it there but no damage resulted. Damn shame this happened, I was planning on visiting L'Aquila later this month when I go to Italy. Abruzzo is a beautiful place, but it's a seismic time bomb. So true -- I've been to many a crappy therapist and I can say first hand that they can make things worse. If anyone feels after many tries that their therapist isn't helping, it's time to move on and look for the next (kind of like dating). I think it's because you shed some calories and in turn lost some body heat. You need the calories and fluids to replenish yourself. I noticed after long runs (17+ miles) I would get the chills no matter how hot it was outside. That's my uneducated guess...I suggest eating something or at least drinking something with caloric value. Happy runnin'... It's not just a current generation. "Celebrity journalism" has been around since well before we were born; and that's the audience this story is catering to. For example, I used to think Angelina Jolie was attractive. Now, thanks to the overkill of seeing her face on my screen or on magazine covers every single goddam day for the past 3 years, I've decided to burn her in effigy this weekend. That sounds good. I will bring an effigy of Paris and Britney and we can make that fire burn a little brighter. I'll bring the cast of "He's Just Not That Into You" for good measure. Having to speak to a 5000-person audience!!!? That would cause me more nerves and anxiety than anything else I can think of. (within reason of course) I would lose sleep over a speech like that too, which (is one of the many reasons) why I admire extroverts.
