  1. Needed for the guy who knows he's really really really screwed.
  2. You put it well sneakerz, just be ready for the shitstorm. Anyways, I'm going to go practice on my talking-myself-out-of-a-bad-situation tactics, I feel they'll get me through the next 7-11 shootout/robbery.
  3. Well the time you take to wake up to "responsibly" pull the trigger is the amount of time it took the intruder to shoot your kids and wife/husband. I'll take my chances with a shotgun, at least in the groggy 3am situation.
  4. You have to also consider your ability to place shots in certain situations. If it's 3 am, some guy blasts into your house and you're rudely awakened (and massively groggy), how well are you going to be able to place shots w/ a handgun in the dark...and quickly? Shotguns take that factor out b/c all you have to do is shoot in the general direction and either hit the guy with something or scare him out of the house.
  5. I don't think anyone's saying that we're necessarily elite over a civilian, but there's a presumed separation because you don't know how we work...which isn't an insult of any kind, you just don't know, much like I probably have no idea about what you do for a living. Thefore there is a natural separation based on the inability to properly understand each person's career choice. THe military does not work this way. We can't just make our own decisions. We are 100% controlled by the civilian govt. Everything comes from Bush down, period. The Secretaries are all civilians...there is total civilian control over the military. Thus, it is incorrect to say that the military can decided what it will do for the good of the country, based on what "it" thinks is right, etc.
  6. Are you serious? Because I know the Marines can't handle anything sophisticated or basically anything that involves more than running, pushups and shooting an M4, but pussies, no way man. Those guys will fuck people up better than anyone else on this planet...well, right behind the Air Force anyways
  7. You can vote on the candidates/issues you are informed on and not vote on the ones you aren't informed on. That's what you should do. I view it as a diservice to the system and your fellow constituents if you vote on a candidate/issue when uninformed.
  8. I swear there could not be a worse justice system in the world than the United States. We need a major overall of the justice system and start kicking lawyers/judges in the face for even contemplating helping pieces of shit out like this woman.
  9. Last I checked it was the "cool thing" to do (blowing yourself up) for Muslim teens in Iraq. The reason AQ is so active in the ME and against the US is the sole reason of setting up a strong Theocracy in teh ME. They want power, plain and simple.
  10. And did we start killing them before or after the numerous terrorist attacks prior to and including Sep 11th? The answer is after...so therefore, how is it that the reason for them killing us is us killing them when they started killing us long before we started killing them. Whew, I like that sentence!
  11. You went to class with 30 dicks and not one pussy...that's UN-AMERICAN! Guess it worked for you, but I would have gone fucking insane. Screw that.
  12. I think your point is very valid. And I didn't say anything good would come of this, I just think it's amsuing to see something like this blow up in France's face.
  13. Well, how many chrstians have committed acts of terrorism since, lets say, 2000? Yeah, I'm sure there are those idiots who have killed gays, committed racial lynchings, etc. But what are the numbers of those compared to the number of attacks/murders propogated muslim extremists?
  14. Yep, nothing would be funnier than to watch France ask for help and the US to tell 'em to fuck off. That would be awesome.
  15. Well, maybe I didn't say it right. I do feel for those who are innocently killed, as well as their family and friends. An innocent Iraqi killed by a bomb is no less of a tragedy than an American killed in the WTC. I'm sorry if I made it sound differently. However, what I was trying to mean by the "inconsequential" stuff was that the amount of innocent Iraqis killed directly by Americans is very low compared to how many have been killed by terrorist insurgents in country. That's the distinction I was trying to make.
  16. I honestly can't do much but laugh. Yes, for the sake of the innocent civilians, I hope they get this thing stopped, but overall, ROFLMAO! By the way, did anyone read about how Muslim teens doused a crippled 60 yr old woman in a propellant (while she was in her wheelchair, obviously) and set her ablaze? Wait, Islam is peaceful! Peaceful I say!
  17. Well, we gave up that right when we hancocked the dotted line. Yes we can give opinions in our private lives, but it's not my place to say what I think at work and tell my boss that such and such is bullshit and we're doing things my way. Yeah, that'd go over well. Sorry, but I joined because I wanted to serve my country and do somethign that means a hell of a lot more to me then pushing papers for some corporation, 9-5 M-F. If that's your cup of tea, fine, but it sure isn't mine. And if that means you don't give a shit about me dying, then fine, why would I care anyways? When was the last attack on US soil? Yeah, its benefitting me so far. Not to mention the thread Dustin started...yeah, it's benefiting me that people like that are being killed off, one less piece of shit in our world. Really, you don't say? Yeah, I'm sure some people are getting rich off this. However, suprisingly enough, I didn't grow up in this world with the hounding goal of doing anything I could to make as much money as possible, hopefully screwing others over in the process so I can be overlord of all money. I make what I make, and I do pretty well; I'm not rich, but I have what makes me happy in life.
  18. Yes, because you and the media are the foremost authority on our munitions. You wouldn't believe what we can do unless you saw it. In fact, there's probably plenty of videos on the internet...find one that shows a JDAM flying right through a window...yeah, we're not bullshitting, precision munitions are fucking good and we're fucking good at using them. Yeah, I'm sure a few people have been killed by our bombs who weren't bad, but unlike the media and some factions in Iraq want you to believe, that number is incredibly low, relatively unconsequential in the grand scheme of things.
  19. The US HAS NOT caused more terror than all those islamic shitbags and Allah put together. Name all the times a US soldier has bombed a cafe, decapitated a child, executed teachers in the street, suicidally blown up police recruits, bombed trains (London and Spain), bombed nightclubs, flown planes into buildings, released nerve agents on a subway...goes on. I'm waiting for this answer.
  20. So all the bombers blowing up schools, hospitals and police stations aren't terrorist attacks? Dragging women and children into the streets and executing them are not acts of terrorism? Bombing cafes and trains are not acts of terrorism? Oh yes, terrorism is unpleasantly rising in several locations around the world.
  21. You don't care how many of us die? We didn't ask to go to Baghdad, or Tikrit, or Balad...we asked to serve our country, to give something of ourselves to help others. The only thing I'm sorry for is knowing that something I or my friends do will benefit you...tragedy of the commons at its best.
  22. It's a complete waste of time. I remember a few times back in the day when a couple of my friends and I would go there, each w/ our own receipt, but all our stuff in the same basket. Then we'd go up, one of us would hand the guy our receipt (with say 10 items on it) while the others would just have their receipts in their pockets. Then the guy would just mark it and say have a nice day, while there is obviously about 50 items in the cart. Stupid and ineffective system.
  23. Agreed...but no matter how blasted I am, I have never once even thought about driving, let alone tried to. Even totally drunk, one can control at least a few minute things, and one of those is the decision to not drive.
