Claiming a dissenter hates America is, well, pretty unAmerican.

I'll just have to call home and find out what dates my parents had sex during that period. Can't wait to have that conversation, let me tell you.

Uh oh. back to business as usual in SC

Even those lefties have got to see the humor in a guy named "Slick Willy" getting impeached for lying about a blow job. Oh, wait a minute. I'm off topic... It's the terrorists fault! Er, I mean W's fault. I feel centered and balanced now. -

It's about time! I was beginning to worry. -
True, but it is indeed strange. Can you resolve the IP address of www.infowars.com? I'm interested in seeing how similar those two addresses are.

I have a 12" iBook that I could probably be persuaded to swap for your 14!" I like the portability, but sometimes we just have to put others' happiness before our own!

I'm sure you have evidence to support this. Please share it with the rest of us. Here we disagree. I am a firm disbeliever in victimless crimes. I am a firm believer in civil disobedience. First, free does mean to do as you please, conditionally upon your actions not harming others. The majority that you speak of was not a popular election. It was a closed door session of Congress in 1937, hardly a tribute to democracy, let alone a free country, which, icidentally, need not be the same thing. What other blatant wastes of taxpayer money do you support? Again it does not matter what the drug does...It only matters that it is illegal. You migth as well argue that its OK to have sex with minors as long as they don't mind. I'm guessing you don't know what entheogen means, or else you do not support freedom of religion, which, if I recall correctly, trumps a majority vote by Congress. Not to mention the War on Drugs is unConstitutional to begin with. It is estimated that 25% of the nation's population have used illegal drugs. Are they all criminals in your mind? Most law enforcement officers are sworn to uphold the Constitution, either directly, or indirectly. As such, to answer your question with either of the two options would in fact be a violation of that oath, if either person wanted to challenge the point. I would lose my badge. In fact, in an increasing number of cities, possesion is not an arrestable offense. The offender gets a ticket (and presumably the cannabis confiscated) and is sent on their way. So, until you come up with a more realistic question, the answer remains the same. None of the Above.

I can't get to (or resolve) www.infowars.com/ either (another Alex Jones site). Is it part of the same subset?
-
Again, forgive my ignorance. Why is this odd? What is port 80, and why is it special?

IIRC the punishment a sitting president can receive if found guilty by impeachment is removal from office. US Constitution Article 2 Section 4

Could someone translate that into technical idiot for me? Subnet? Class C?

I understand your skepticism. It's not exactly a sight that I visit often, if I've ever even been there before at all. I don't like the idea of my ISP being able to tell me which sites I can't view, though. That should be my decision.

I'm not following your logic. Could you explain?

God, Guns, Sex? Feh! Lets get serious...

True, but the text of the article makes me wonder. (snipped for brevity) ***AOL Time-Warner Censors Alex Jones Websites Nationwide blackout a clear attempt to shut down free speech Prison Planet | October 5 2005 Time Warner's ISP, Road Runner, has blocked access to all of Alex Jones' flagship websites across the entire United States. We were first alerted to this problem early this morning when several locals in Austin reported that they were unable to access Infowars.com, PrisonPlanet.com or Prison Planet.tv. Austin Time Warner had previously shut down access to our websites on a whim, claiming they were 'hate material' but in all cases had quickly restored them after receiving complaints. However, this latest attack on free speech is occurring nationwide, with Time Warner subscribers from New York to California reporting that their access to the websites is being blocked. The last attempt to shut us down came shortly after the London Bombings, which saw our traffic go through the roof after we released a plethora of articles exposing government involvement. The consequence of this is that Prison Planet.com alone on some days gets more hits than the Britney Spears website or Rush Limbaugh. Previously we reported that UK ISPs like Tiscali were blocking their subscribers from accessing the website after the 7/7 bombings. It is obvious that those in high places are showing their disapproval. This only vindicates all the information we have been putting out. How can a website that merely reports and comments on mainstream media articles be described as 'hate' unless there's a different agenda afoot? How can Bill O'Reilly get on Fox News and call for assassinating Prime Ministers and Pat Robertson on the 700 Club do the same and yet we get censored for being hateful? We have never called for violence against anyone and actively encourage peaceful exchange of information. . . It would be a big coincidence, albeit not impossible.

I agree. The drugs are inconsequential. But drug crimes far outnumber murder in the prisons. To be objective, we have to look at the whole picture. And if you include drug offenders, there is a huge racial injustice. My hypothesis, although I haven't done the math, is that the violent crime rate by race will be very similar to the poverty by race. If the law is unjust the first time, it's going to be unjust the second time as well. There is something inherently wrong when a self proclaimed free country sends anyone to jail for having three joints. People do not smoke pot and get violent. How is society better off by spending several man hours, at taxpayer expense, for using an entheogen that is generally known to make people calm and mellow? We are rarely, if ever faced with an A or B situation. There is nearly always another option.
-
I have Roadrunner and cannot access it, at least not without taking measures to hide my location. There is something inherently wrong with that.

http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/october2005/051005timewarnercensors.htm MY ISP has censored it, according to the article that I can't access.

Imagine its pull time on a skydive. You throw out your main PC. Nothing happens. Do you A. Pull out your cell phone and call 911 OR B. Pull out your cell phone and make funeral arrangements?

If you want to provide evidence to support your claims, I will continue.

I'm not sure how you arrived at those conclusions, but you sure can jump far!

A circular argument. Its okay to unjustly arrest someone because it has been done before? Don't get me wrong, I've seen that happen more than twice, but that does not mean that there was justification the first few times.
