HS teachers and the Indoctrination of our youth
warpedskydiver replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
well I must admit I looked in a dictionary!!! and yes I do know something about geography I am a LAND SURVEYOR, are you? who do you think does the work of geographical mapping anyways?...surveying is the father of all the land sciences... here is another source you may want to read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography now I will admit there are "related fields" but they are not called "geography" check out the USGS, ACSM, and others -
I didn't misquote. The post I replied to was deleted. Cool NP I retract my statement!!! Thanks

Your personal attacks are so pretty. Narci quit misquoting will ya? TYVM!!!!

Bill, I would love it if all US vehicles would be capable of running on Methanol or Ethanol...no damn blends or anything... motors would last longer run cooler and develop more power if properly tuned due to Alchohol being an oxygen bearing fuel... look at race cars etc. they can race a fuelie all season long on the same engine sometimes...it's just that reliable... the bad part is then anyone would be capable of making fuel and the oil companies wont allow that... we could then stop this massive trade imbalance that plagues our country
-
that won't really give these companies any motivation to change, will it now? No, and it shouldn't. It's called the Free Market. DING!!! another winner... I Love it when this happens!!!

This is true, I don't know whether it was their intention, or just that they were very good at it
-
Look I started this thread and it isn't about anything remotely related to homosexuality...get off the topic or the thread will get deleted If you want to hijack something, make it anything but someone elses thread

Witnesses said Ms Corrie, aged 23, from Olympia, Washington, had been trying to stop the demolition of a Palestinian building in the Rafah refugee camp. There were eight international protesters at the site - four American and four British - all members of a group called International Solidarity Movement. Ms Corrie was the first member of the organisation to be killed in the conflict in the Palestinian territories. The Israeli army accused the group of acting irresponsibly by intentionally placing themselves in a combat zone. Quote As a note for everyones personal safety, placing yourself in the path of any army conducting operations WILL GET YOU KILLED

Do you personally want Iran to have nukes or is this merely for the sake of discussion?
-
I might also explain that I am ex Army but I actually might recommend another branch of service depending on what MOS you may seek.

I find nothing untrue about anything in that trailer

Then that particular recruiter should be reported immediatley to the NCOIC at the local AFEES station...after that he will be sorry he ever picked up that phone.

HS teachers and the Indoctrination of our youth

I find your statement to be quite confusing and I do not know whether it was intentional... I was pointing out that Geaography and Political Sciences are taught at this district IN SEPERATE CURRICULUM As for feeling sorry don't as these students receive the benefit of being taught BOTH without intentionally confusing one science for another. -
cool I knew that you realized the difference I just wanted to put that out there for the masses
-
or make a pad that straps to a knee so it doesn't slip out if you move...tempurpedic foam works great and a small sample can be gotten for free
-
well there are some people who actually have enough pain to need some form of pain management...usually meds...if it can be handled without meds it should be, but never should a person consider not utilizing them because of some preconceived notion that they aren't neccessary in cases where they are warranted.
-
geez Rhonda then it wouldn't say what they want it to! as they weren't really looking for answers but only wanting validation
-
Absolutely

by the way JC I am sure you are aware that ballistic ID is a very subjective if not faulty science as the ballistic charaterics change every time a round is fired and every time the weapon is cleaned (unless there is a serious flaw in the barrel that remains unchanged )

wolves to be killed with few restrictions in wyoming
warpedskydiver replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
still you must admit those numbers are very low...given the amount of livestock that lives in those states... Many times wolves are blamed for coyote kills, especially where smaller animals are taken Also there are very good reasons the Native Americans revered the Wolf while reviling the Coyote. The way they were viewed were that of good and evil. The Wolf was viewed as the epitomy of the hunter spirit, and the coyote was viewed as the lowest of the low, cowardly, deceitful, and much maligned. These are not my personal views ( though I subscribe to them ) but the views of many of my native friends, most who grew up on or lived on reservations...( not white imposters ) those beliefs were nearly universal even given the diversity of tribal beliefs. -

Do you have a reference for that? I don't have any hard numbers, just a suspicion that the impact of wolves may be over-estimated for psychological reasons. Ever read Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowat? WE HAVE A WINNER!!!! Tom I was waiting for someone to jump on that! Thanks for seeing the problem. Also I would dare anyone to show proof that anyone in the US has been attacked by wolves...coyotes yes, but wolves? PROVE IT!
