    The best Idea is either a shotgun with 00 pellets or a 5.56x45mm weapon i.e. a short barreled M4 or similar it excels far past any pistol ammo in CQC situations and doesnt overpenetrate on walls etc. especially while using soft point or ballistic tipped ammo. If you have any questions I can supply the DoD study that was done and is currently used in the military and law enforcement SWAT today
