We need to start a Dead Pool for Abdullahi Lami. I'm thinking 5 weeks. Let him get complacent and then (poof). Why complacent? I want him with all his armed peeps. I would give this one to the lowest bidder. All it takes is a satellite phone fix. It should not cost more than 20k to kill him and his buddies. Let's not forget foreign trade, there are South Africans out of work..

All we need is something that looks worthy of taking and seemingly unarmed. Then let them get close enough before we spring the trap. Dead men tell no tales.

Why was the President even involved? Media Coverage. It took him how long? If I were president all I would have said is, can we put a ship out there to troll for pirates? Kind of like a floating shooting range for the boys?
-
Yep, now the enemy has a time table to work from.

Must put the "Gang" back in Gangbang That's what that plank is for right?

Now the Liberal Media is getting jizz in their undies calling Obama's decision "Passing the National Security Test" Wow those pirates were sure a challenge for him. He must have swam all the way there shirtless in order to save the Captain. Now the GWOT is won we can all go home. It took him how many hours to quit interfering? The captain of the Bainbridge as well as any member of that SEAL unit had the knowledge and the will to execute the known protocol for dealing with this. Obama obviously had to think tank this and do some polling in order to see how it would be perceived to harm those poor fishermen. He should quit interfering and micromanaging Who does he think he is Jimmy Carter or WJC?

Saiga-12, sporter goes tactical...

Lasers suck ass, unless you are designating something. -
As long as guns continue to be made that can be bump fired at rates approaching their fully automatic counter parts, then limiting magazine size is a viable tactic from cutting down the number of bullets that can be fired per minute. OMG Bump Firing, what are you 15 years old?
-
Interesting reading your comments, I have nothing to say.

Whatever, what are you going to live forever or something?

Serbu makes a nice universal key when adapted via a Picatinny to an AR-15 Two pins and it is on, or off. It can actually be done far cheaper but Serbu does fine work. Doing SBS is not as easy as one might think. Shimming, cone shape and alignment without compression are the keys to success.

That is not cheating, if done within the BATFE guidelines it is not even close to cheating. Even if it is welded on it can Be changed. Even if the bbl was 30" long, it can be changed. Just not too easily by someone with no skills. Short bbl weapons used in crimes are usually never purchased, they are crudely sawed off.
-
NOTICE Remember that a rifle with a bbl of less than 16" when the non permanently attached muzzle device (brake or flash hider) is enough to get you convicted of a FEDERAL FIREARMS VIOLATION. Because it has been shown that the difference between 14.5"bbls and 16" bbls is exactly 1.5" And to a politician who is in favor of gun control an inch and a half is HUGE

No. Currently, gun ownership requires neither a license nor registration. Owning a firearm requires a "license" (typically called an "owner's ID" or similar) in a very few states. Purchasing a new firearm from a dealer requires a background check. The only firearms that currently require registration are: 1) A few state specific registries (some states maintain registries of grandfathered weapons that are now banned from sale in that state) 2) NFA (National Firearms Act of 1934) weapons are on a national registry. These require a $200 tax stamp at registry or re-registry (moving between states or transfering to a new owner). These include: (a) Machine Guns (no new machine guns have been allowed to be registered since 1989, and prices are now insanely high as a result) (b) Suppressors (devices to reduce the noise signature of a weapon discharge) (c) (Short barrel shotguns 18" or less and rifles with barrels shorter than 16") (d) Destructive Devices (this is generally things like grenade launchers, but can include pretty much anything the ATF decides to classify in there) (e) AOW (Any Other Weapon): this is a "grab bag" category for innovative or unusual weapons the ATF wants to include in this category, and only requires a nominal ($5) registration fee, rather than the normal $200. An example of this is the Serbu Super Shorty, which is essentially a pistol shotgun (although other pistol grip shotguns on the market have not been classified as AOW, so it's a little fuzzy as to what is or is not included until the ATF rules or changes a ruling). I'm sure I made some mistakes there that John Rich can correct.

Conspicuously Illinoistan is not on that list. Given the political climate of this gulag I would say that just might be a good thing. They are changing our states motto. It used to be "Land of Lincoln" Now it will be "Welkome Komrade, Leave your Kapatilistic Rights at Das Border"

Limiting magazine capacity limits the kinetic energy that can be delivered by the weapon over the course of time. Even if a magazine change takes 1 to 2 seconds, that's a significant reduction. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_Cmy2wZDyI&NR=1 Take the rate of fire you'd get by bump firing the weapon. Now, require a magazine change every 1 second and you've essentially cut that in half. It's a legitimate strategy for limiting the amount of damage a weapon can do. Proper training on tactics and employment of certain weapons as well as shot placement negates that. So what if someone has a one shot weapon? With one shot a person can take out a small suburb if the plan is well made. Did you realize with proper tactics that person can kill a small crowd with just one shot? And no I will not tell you how, I don't want to give ANYONE ideas.

Propaganda like this states why some believe that you shouldn't own a firearm: If I only had a gun And... YES. I did call it propaganda - the spreading of ideas, (mis)information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause. And I do believe that this episode of 20/20 was scripted and timed to coincide with likely up coming legislation proposals. Speculation on my part? yes, but we'll see . . . . Too many people depend on the media to tell them what to think.... Gee I wonder why they insisted on overly long, stretchy T Shirts? I know the answer.
-
I have an Idea, you should go to SDC and tell everyone in the old crowd that you think I am dangerous and possibly a crazy person.
-
And the reason for that is? You play with words all the time, you figure out that sentence.
-
The same way whether or not we know if you are a child abductor, a meth addict, rapist or anything else you would like to say about someone who wants to own a gun. I have proven through various background checks that I am not a person who has violated any of these dis qualifiers. Do you have a security clearance? Probably not. Do you have a criminal record? I would know if we knew who you really are and a DOB.

New Gallup poll shows support for gun control at historic low
warpedskydiver replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
The WWI "trench gun" is an example and was so prevalent that the Germans complained about is and executed any soldier captured with a shotgun. Shotguns; The original assault gun Because once you get assaulted....you stay assaulted. The Iraqis are fairly fearful of them as well after seeing the effects of them on Bad Guys. -

Maybe you should read a book before you denounce it. I read Dianetics, the people who follow that crap are just plain stupid. You think the Bible is dodgy, yet people far more scholarly than you can prove you wrong. Were you actually there to witness the events entailed? Are there things we cannot do today that have been done in the past, or have occurred? Absolutely -
Because you should hand your collection over to me. I've got no idea what's in it, but I bet it's got some good stuff. I do not own a firearm.
