Oh I almost forgot. Is the car auto or manual. Another easy check on a manual is to put it in 3rd or 4th and drive it up an incline at a lowish speed. In other words get the motor to labour a bit at the bottom end of the rev range. Main bearing wear will manifest itself as a rumbling sound from the motor. Big end were can be heard as a knocking sound at idle. Not tapping...knocking. A motor vibration could be a duff sparkplug or partially burnt valve. Hell it could even be shorting plug leads. Turn off the lights in the garage at night and run the motor. Do you see any sparking from around the motor HT lead system? Pretty much what I have been thinking. I find it hard to believe the bearings have gone on a 1995 model. Unless Andy has been lax with his oil changes....very lax. Or he has a very heavy foot. Valve stem seals and rings go bye bye way before the main and big end bearings. Andy. drain the oil yourself and see if there is any 'glitter' in it. Wash the oil filter out with petrol and see what comes out. A bearing which is on it's way out usually deposits quite a bit of metal into the system. Personally I smell BS...just my 2c I wish the real world would just stop hassling me~~~matchbox20

Skymama. I have been with my woman for 15 years and she dont cook either. A roast for eight people will take between 1.5 and 2 hrs to cook. Do a stewy kind of meal that you can cook the day before and reheat it out of the fridge the next day. Chilli is good. I like chicken risotto but the rice can be tricky. I suppose you could throw some chicken pieces with mixed veg into the crockpot and let it stew in a dry white wine and bay leaf sauce all day. Just add a little thickning to the wine so it is not too watery. Alternatively use lamb. Beef may go tough. Ok I am hungry now I wish the real world would just stop hassling me~~~matchbox20

Hey Riggerrob Fooled ya didn't we I have said it before on this forum, I live in the land of miracles......and less slippery new ZP material.
