David, Aggidave comment about "demo jumps" has got me thinking that there may be a way out of your dilemma. Get the girl to agree to a 'demo jump' befor the prom. A try before you buy kind of thing. Ah!!!!! that clears that up.. BTW I have seen video of one of the guys at Citrusdal doing headdown busy geeking at the camera when his reserve handle comes unstowed. Bam!!!! from 320 kph plus to a fully inflated reserve ( a Decelerator in this case ) in about 5 video frames. Why Chute shop did not buy that footage and use it in an advert I will never know. The reserve was fine. Al had cracked ribs. Every day above ground is a good day.
