I would say that if both aircraft are travelling in the same general direction it is possible to spot the lower one quite easily....assuming it is clear. If they are each going the other way....good luck. I would say it would be next to impossible for the person spotting. The jump pilot would have the best chance and if he misses it...........ouch. IMHO.
