  1. ...why does X need a trump card? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  2. I agree - for anyone, but especially for your own kids! I realise custody etc was more difficult to gain for fathers in those days, but i can't believe the authorities would have turned a blind eye to that. And even with 5 wives, one would think someone could be a bit more specific about marriage and divorce dates, rather than when he thinks he was married and divorced? I mean, if he can't be sure about that, I'm not sure how much to take at face value re memory of other dates. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  3. Wow. I have to say... sounds pretty far-fetched... some corroboration of a good number of those thinsg would be interesting... in other words the same thing we say to Jo: where's the evidence? would be interesting to note if anything can back it up. The angle that "Cooper never jumped" has been raised here before. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  4. Then again, the "gramps" story does not have to be true for the rest of it, if he was as experienced as was implied? For me the bigger hole is implied by Sluggo's extract - whcih showed that (if it is the same guy) he was still working for United years later and thus clearly did not disappear anywhere. 5. Hm... interesting. Of course, the dates are all wrong for a disappeared Cooper. Bruce, you say Galen put you on to this man, and that he finds him credible. Does Galen find his story credible enough to make him change his mind about Gosset -- is this the reason the book is being delayed? Or does he think there is a connection ebtween Gosset and Burn(s)worth? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  6. well, clearly the answer to your second paragraph is yes. And of course it is not from a passenger window. It is, rather, the cover from a super-advanced alti + GPS that only super-secret agents involved in 10 super-secret missions that underwent super-secret jump training were given in the late 60s/early 70s. (of course, it could just be something that may have been found in the pocket of an expensive coat that disappeared into duane's arms in a restaurant one night) Waiting to hear more from Bruce... 7. And what, may I ask, is wrong with Orange? hey - congrats!! and backing up 377 - my older girl went tunnel flying when she was 4, and she thought it was even more awesome than Disneyland Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  8. I'd exercise my 5th Amendment right to remain silent. Without some dumb admission they'd have a tough time getting a search warrant or having cause for arrest. Silence, literally in this case, is golden. 377 Question: if someone asked you yet another hypothetical irrelevant question on a forum, would you feel obliged to answer it? Of course, if the question was phrased thus: if you found money and an old parachute in an old car you bought ... now, that would be much more interesting. 9. Sounds like you had a great time - let us know how your AFF goes Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  10. LOL! well spotted guys!! Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  11. Orange1, Yes, unfortunately. Just like school kids… amazing! I have done all I can do to attempt to help turn this thread into something useful, maybe someone else has some ideas. And I think you have, Sluggo. I'd personally prefer to see the thread go quiet every so often than what seems to happen - which is when it goes quiet with real stuff, we get a predictable post, and someone who rails off against it (I too have been guilty of this in the past, but my 12-step programme has worked ) Looking forward to seeing your charts. 12. here we go again Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  13. One of our IT guys has this on a t-shirt, i love it Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  14. lol... well, Jo has claimed all that here (without proof), and this is the internet - so who needs proof? We will only know it is REALLY true if the link goes *poof* (as well as all associated posts about it in this forum obviously, otherwise the FBI-CIA-SOG-Area51-ET-M15-KGB and everyone else in on it just won't be doing their jobs properly, right?) 15. and happy easter Jerry and everyone! Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  16. Yes, it IS different Jo. I don't think any humans should ever be nuked and there were a lot of atrocities in the Civil War (Andersonville prison camp for example), but the torture and execution of six million non combatants can hardly be excused by a "just following orders" defense. It wasn't just Jews BTW, Gypsies and homosexuals were sent to the Nazi death camps too. Soon hunting Nazi war criminals will be a moot point due to age, but I do see a reason to go after them while they can still be found. They are criminals and should have to answer for what they did. Nagasaki and Hiroshima were arguably valid military targets due to industrial presence. I think it was wrong to bomb them and never would have approved it if I were the President without first demonstrating the atomic bomb in an unpopulated area and giving the Japanese a chance to surrender after witnessing its horrendous destructive power. I am friends with a Hiroshima survivor. He was a child living in the city when the bomb was dropped. Interestingly, he sees the nuclear bombings as more justified than I do. 377 Wait... wait... is Jo's argument that the FBI should be spending funds tracking down a hijacker who didn't kill anyone and just lost a few people some cash, rather than tracking down actual proven criminals - murderers, mass murderers - and removing them from US society? (Especially considering that she will never believe what the FBI's result will be anyway.) Sorry, but to me the logic sounds just as twisted as ...well, most other stuff she has presented here. 17. Yes, of course... Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  18. I posted some time ago - if you read the transcripts from the plane, it is not clear whether Cooper actually asked for 15 deg, or whether he made a request that was interpreted that way by the pilot. My response to any CAVA on this would be that it was ambiguous. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  19. I missed something! - did she really do this? Yes. I communicated directly with Ckret about this at the time .. and continue to communicate with Ckret as others also do - I thought you knew about this a long time ago. I knew she had "complained" but not that it was a "formal complaint", if you see what I mean. Lovely - so Ckret's valuable time catching real criminals now gets wasted having to defend himself against the unfounded accusations of a delusional woman. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  20. I missed something! - did she really do this? If so I agree entirely with 377's opinion. Maybe it is time once and for all to properly send Jo to Coventry. Re CAVA #1 I agree with. #2 sounds dubious to me. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  21. Bingo. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  22. Sluggo, that was yet another very eloquently worded and eminently reasonable post that ..will no doubt fall on deaf ears once again. So no, I am not one of those who thinks she will. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  23. From stew to nun...? sounds pretty radical to me. Not for a 21 yr old in 1971. Back in those days - being a stewardess was a career that allowed you to travel and the pay was good for the times Um, precisely. So you don't think changing from a lifestyle where you travel lots and meet lots of different people, to being a nun is radical?? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

  25. Orange in Orange ...you could have edited my typo out in the quote though Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
