  1. I definately am with you on that, although many people around the world choose celebrities as heroes/leaders simply because of the persona and fame. which is wrong to do so.
  2. I agree. i prefer to rely on obserevation and evidence rather than spiritual truth. mike
  3. Ahhh very good point, sorry i didn;t look at it that way. But that would depend although whether you classed it as a physical part of the body or a spiritual side of us - if it was physical then we would all have it until it rotted away when we die same as the rest of our body. Do you hold any religious faiths?
  4. "Britain helped America to conduct a secret and potentially illegal spying operation at the United Nations in the run-up to the Iraq war, The Observer can reveal." What is he exact reason why Britain would want to ally herself at such a supposed cost publicly at home (in the eyes of the terrorists etc) to the USA, and not so much to other countries with strong power? WHat is Blair's main reason? is the UK trying to mark itself as a world power due to its small size? What do the Americans at home generally view the alliance as? Don't get me wrong, i think its great we are allies, but was just wondering what the real intention behind it really is. Please Discuss and share your views... mike "
  5. The clicky doesn't say much about his abilities... but if they are as good as his acting skills.... well the USA should have no problem. Interesting choice. (well if Arnie got governor of cali, then he should stand a pretty good chance. good luick to him
  6. Isn't our soul where our spirituality is concerned? Therefore, if one isn;t religious , does that mean we do not have a soul? Mike.
  7. I should have put in my post other the respect i have for you for you service to your country - although we diasgree slightly in our oppinions, i really admire those who DO serve their country and protect their countrymen for their beliefes - takes a lot of guts and a strong person he greatest tragedy is that the solderis never get enough recognition - eveyrone spends time talking about the presidetns etc while the sldiers are risking their life. Thanks, i meant no disrespect before at all by leaving that out, Mike
  8. Sorry bout the 5 posts - my PC locked and i click psoted one to many times. fair enough, ordinary human beings not in power such as you and me and most 99.99% people on the planet are prone to commit adulteyr and a small portion will... but as a leader who is suppsoed to set an example... ... you don;t see Bush having sex with somewoman under the table in ihis office (lol although he still has time) Therefore, although you disagree with Bush sending troops to Iraq, adn being a soldier yourself i fully respect the risks you take to protect your fellow countrymen, i respect totally your opinion. Any yes Timmy and FAe Baker the corrupt teleevangelist are wankers for abusing the trust of others, proving anyone can be corrupt. But Bush does his job., clinton never did. Why do you like Clinton so much?
  9. America may very well be the best country in the world, it might not, but what is the use of a subjective oppinion? you mentioned botellines attacking you, but you are threatening him in a very subtle way - "just hermdoids". .what's the point? i thought this thread was commenting on people and Bush IMHO, America isn;t the best country in the world, but whether it is or not, where is your actual proof? Anyone can make a statement , but valued statments have info to back them up... ... mike
  10. I fully agree - clinton failed to stop terrorism, and did far less actuall work than Bush. But as with Blair in this country, Clinton "looked the part more - more like a movie star and gave good speeches" while bush on the other hand is slightly clumsier and more a babbler than clinton, so people already steroptype him has bad and them pounce on him - there wasn;t that much of a row when clinton was caught with lewinski - fuck - a a pres cheating> great leader. Its the same with blair - he looks and talks the talk - yet a guy gulled Hague was far better but "looked like a puppet" so got bahsed more. Some people base it on looks... for some reason.... Mike

  16. Still a student so have no experience of any of these, but i was wondering what gives you the most satisfaction from skydiving disciplines: which is the most colourful, which is the most dynamic? Although some skydivers may have only recently started or have mainly focused on one type of discipline, what is about their chosen choice or future choice which gets their juices flowing? Even if you only just have started participating, lets what yu think about your choice of discipline and why you love it so much - what does it give you pack from what you have put in? I would Choose RW - good cahnce to work with others and because it is useful to a newbie to imrpove skills - a lot of satisfaction I hope im not out of my league in polling this. Even though hardly any of you know me, lets hear you views and get the real reasons why people choose their disciplines!
  17. You could drown maybe? "As a student you have to worry about overcoming fear... bad landing" - But aren;t a lot of student inuries caused on landing - - i would have thought you would have to worry about the landing just as much if not more than the jumping out of the door.. .. sorry... im very confused. edited - + lol where the hell would the plane land!!!! (and where would you be able to sit and drink your beer and do other .... stuff.....) mike
  18. I was looking for the same advice to a couple of days back and did a search - type in "relaxing in freefall" - a couple of threads with some good stuff in it. Good luck! Mike
  19. I found it off a DZ website in the section "useful links", and then explored it from there and found it had tons of really useful info.
  20. Glad you had a great first jump, hope your AFF goes well! Have Fun
  21. Hey Eule, Thanks also for the imput to. Doing it in a harness, like you said, is probably my best bet of sorting out my Ep's etc... so they can be corrected by the JM so i don;t build up wrong muscle memory. Then i can go and practice them at home and reinforce them so they stick. Lol wouldn't want to cutaway at 2,000 grand instead of pulling cause i got the wrong proceedure! Lol cheers, mike
