Chances of dying in a plane are really small. Its just when they do happen, they often many people at once , so are more of a headline than one person dying in a car.
-
Try chewing gum, that often helps takes your mind off it. It worked for me. just my 0.02- but a doctor/health advisor (whatever they called themselves) said that after 3-4 months of not smoking one hates the smell of smoke. i dunno if thast true, ( i can only go for 6 weeks without starting again), but could be a motivating factor. "Never give up giving up" Its worth it.

Three- 1. When i was a baby i chewed on a wasp and it stung me on the tongue causing my toungue to sweel up and preventing airflow. Twice when crossing the road, i never looked both ways and came close to being hit twice. But the cars had good brakes

Not just saying this, but that is a really good question. Erm, whatever im gonna type is gna get shit from all angles - "how do you know" "have you really thouhgt that over?" "are you sure, you don;t know what youre on about" I won't answer that here if you don't mind, but good question. Im not deliberaetly avoiding it at all, its a really good point to make.

I keep wondering if she stuffed something like bowling balls down her shirt to do that trick. Walt Who knows? But thast one helluva lot of balls lol to do that!

I take it then you don;t like Bush!

Sorry i can;t resist - your gonna shoot me for this my dog ate your bucket (sorry had to kill the joke) Mike

i think you know which people im referring to. yes the Irawi people. Why does everyone think they know what Bush feels or thinks? Do you know what goes thorugh his head? Im pretty sure he gets upset when a soldier is dead, he isn't a monster. its just presidents cant really show it, cos they are the leader. and no im not blind or bedazzled by bush. Im pretty sure he would want to gain the support of the Iraqi people Plus more are killed by the bombers than by USA, but people seem to forget that.
-
What you rasied are really valuable points, don;t get me wrong , but the way we interpret them depends on our stance. Although may have been killed, i still do care about them. of course i do. i would be a cold hearted bastard if i didn't. But i still disagree with the terrorism thing, but thanks for putting your arguments forward in such a polite manner dude. Unfortunately some people i know (whuffos lol) would just rant and rave their oppinion without considering the other side. Cheers, much appreciated,

, it's sufficient just to invade a foreign country and kill its citizens. Quote I don't quite agree with that. He isn't deliberately killing the citizens - why would he wanna do that>? ITs an unfortunate part of ANY cmapagin, that civilians are killed. I mean ww2 - how many civilians died there? Thats not saying it is justified to kill them, but is is a terrrible part of war, which will happen regardless. A bomb will be dropped on the wrong place, it always does happen. Why Bush would want to DELIBERATELY kill civilians is beyond me, what does he have to gain - if he trying to win the support of the people, then killngi them wouldn;t work. just my 0.02

Anyone know a DZ shop where "breakaway" is sold?
Mike111 replied to Mike111's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Cheers everyone for all the help. -
Ahhh, that came out wrong - sorry It sounded veyr selfish, in the sense that we were putting our probslems onto other people. What i mean was , that if we have to fight the terrorists, adn we can stop a dictator, then we might as well fight them at the same time. I mean saddam was a murderer, so removing him was a good thing. If the terrorists want to fight their, then it lures them out of hiding - if you see what im getting at. Instead of them blowing themselves up or hiding, we are luring them into a place where we can deal with them. Easier said though, and its important to say that all trropps in Iraw are doing a great job, whether it is justified for them to be there or not. I think thast slightly fairer in that sense. But keeping saddam in power was wrong, apart from if you look at it from self interest 0 he was a buffer to Iran, so we benefited from that.

Anyone know a DZ shop where "breakaway" is sold?
Mike111 replied to Mike111's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
i looked on google , and "The Ranch skydive club" came up as pretty much the only DZ shop which sold it. Does anyone know a good UK shop or another USA shop which sells the DVD? It seemed that there werent many places that sold it. Cheers in advance for any info, -
The good old UK phrases (chaps!), Its cool we all different argumnets and oppinions, though.
-
Cos otherwise people will get tired of him dodging . Eventually the ball will come back round to his court and stay there. Sorry to be pinicky, but whether the war is endles or not, the terrorists would still strike forcing us to fight an endless whether it be in Iraq , or any another country. Shouldn;t we face up to it and not let them get onto our (UK and USA) homelands?

Ok, fair enough, some people did say before th ewar started. But, what i meant by political suicide was the fact that all these questinos are now being put forward to which Bush has to answer. Although i think the Americans are doing well in Iraq, considering the opposition they face. Edited to add - the Americans are making good progress under the circumstances and are doing well aginst the insurgency, whether they should be there or not, that is fair? Thus generally, overall, IMHO although the facts were sugar coated a bit, they are making good progress.

Let's hope they also develop a brain and not listen to the people who say it will be a cakewalk, we'll be welcomed as liberators, it's going to take six weeks not six months, there's no doubt Saddam has weapons, we're turning the corner, the insurgency is in its final throes etc. An informed citizen is an effective one. We all have strong views on this war in Iraw, but wouldn;t it also fair to say it is easier to judge and say what we should have realised in hindsight. Whether they are right or not, im sure they wouldn't have assumed these things without good reason - like is happening now, to do so is political suicide.

Someone who commits deliberate acts of murder or inhuman actions against people to suit his own position - whether it be torture of genocide. Bush hasn't committed a genocide, and he wasn't responsble DIRECTLY for the torture in ABu Graib. just my 0.02. Whats your definition?
-
Ok fair enough, but you couldn't argue Bush is a war criminal could you?
-
Today, a lot of murderes in this countr get let out after 20- 30 years after being given life sentences. Some,. remain in jail. But can we really justify letting people out for committing murder? Agreed that there are some cases, crimes of passion and cases where insanity was to blame where one could argue against it . But it seems in most cases that is a kick in the teeth to families of victims, to have their killer relaeased after serving only a third of their life after they permanently ended someone else's life. Therefore, should we let these people out, risking them reoffending and assuming they are have changed? Or should life mean life?

LOL if they are natural - i hope they havent grown since then!!!!!

Fuck, im surprised she can even stand up with those without being pulled down! edited to add - they must be fake

But aren;t ideologies and beliefs found within the body of the person - OK the germans wanted revenge for Versailles and Weimar and a lot shared this belief. But if you remove the figure, then it allows for another person to TRY to change these beliefs for which they could be successful. So in some ways, the ideology and beliefs revolve around a person who portrays them to a certain extent. I have read exerts of Mein Kampf, but not eonugh to make a judgement Would you agree?
