Its true - niche marketing in cycling ESPECIALLY mountain bikes, has got a bit silly. I'm a self confessed gearhead when it comes to bikes but even I will say a lot of the divisions are somewhat arbitrary. Road bikes haven't REALLY changed in years. The 10 speed I had when I was 10 was fundamentally the same as the ultra high end one I bought a couple years ago. Actually, even the material was the same! If you want to race competitively the latest and greatest may be important to you, but that's such a small number of people that realy need it. I bought a bike recently which has become my go-to bike for transport, because it does everything well, and you can set it up basically how you want. Road tyres. cyclocross tyres, flat bars, drop bars, fenders, racks, any and all are possible. Check it out http://volagi.com/bikes/viaje-xl-shimano-105 I got mine in the apex spec, and its basically set up as a cross bike, but I plan on putting racks on and going touring later this year. Space miners hope to build first off-Earth economy

Thanks! Will keep me going for a week or two! Just finished the latest Iain M. Banks novel, really liked some of the culture series but this last one just didn't do it for me. Been rereading Ender's game too. Totally different but I like it. Never try to eat more than you can lift -

Donaldson's "Gap" series? One of the best, and so disturbing, sci fi series ever he really though out of the box on that one What book's that? Always looking for some good scifi. Have now got the troy rising one on my amazon wishlist. Never try to eat more than you can lift -
I dunno, I think Marisa knows what she is doing. Besr in mind she has come from somewhere where flexible working is absolutely fine but the majority of people go to the office because of company culture and that they love it there. While this is a bit draconian I agree that a) its a housecleaning exercise and b) a way to get dysfunctional teams firing again. I think they will go back to flexible working once she has sorted things out. In my mind, Yahoo's biggest problem currently is that they don't really have anything that differentiates them, they are basically a me-too company. Never try to eat more than you can lift

Its still WAY better than anything you have, for those less well off. And for those that can afford private health insurance, they have the CHOICE to pay for it if they want. Never try to eat more than you can lift

A penis is considered a genital, as is a vagina. They are not in the same category as boobies. Even in remote Africa, the women don't cover their breasts, but both men and women cover their genitals (from what I gather from the media). Also - IMO genitals of either sort are not so aesthetically pleasing! So says Stumpy! Never try to eat more than you can lift

It is unfortunate... but American TV and hence most American males do not get to see much boobage on TV... hence their comical reactions to getting to see one once in a great while. Amazon has it right, I think American entertainment is generally pretty prudish (there are obvious exceptions). I see no problem with boobies - they are nice to look at, and I don't think it's done for shock value. Never try to eat more than you can lift

Self defense. Why? The odds of me coming across a polar or grizzly bear are pretty slim. Since the odds of a malfunction of your main are very slim, you need not have a reserve on then Hell, why carry that weight? You most likely do not have a fire extinguisher in your house either Did you get rid of that spare tire? Why waste the space? Surely you don’t lock the doors to your home now either. Because the changes of someone coming in is very small Leave your keys in your car when you are at work of the DZ? Just sayin Since you are so prepared, you obviously wear a crash helmet while walking down the street? I know thats a ridiculous comparison, but they seem to be all the rage round here. $1500 is the explorer version. I saw a story that said the first consumer version would likely be sub $1k - thats still too expensive, however its in the realms that the early adopters will jump on it, and the price will come down pretty quickly. Give it a couple of years and I reckon it will be compatible with higher end sunglasses (thinking some of the oakleys with their thicker arms) - throw light sensitive lenses into the mix and you have something pretty cool. Yep - this absolutely should benefit from some of Obama's government funding - it seems it already is. In the same way that research into all sorts of alternative fuels and energy production methods should benefit, as well as research into cleaner transport etc. Never try to eat more than you can lift

No warrent needed as is it covered under the bill. But it is a mistake of course http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2020373291_westneat17xml.html So the pro gun side is complaining that the current laws are not enforced, but when they are, thats bad too? Nice double standard No. Your misunderstanding is understandable (!); it's a finer point of constitutional law particular to the US. In the US, the Constitution is superior in authority to any laws passed by any legislature. That means that sometimes laws get passed that the courts declare to be void because they violate the constitution. The pro-gun side is saying that if such a law were passed, the provision that allows the sheriff to inspect a home for compliance - without the need for a judically-issued search warrant - would violate the part of the US Constitution that protects people from warrantless searches of their premises. In other words, the "enforcement" to which you refer would, itself, be unconstitutional. I'm a moderate on US gun issues, and I'm also a lawyer in the US, and I agree that such a statutory provision would be unconstitutional. Fair enough, good response, cheers.
