  1. > Yep, just confirms my belief that the world isn't going to be around forever. I can't wait for heaven! Heaven i.e. as in the stars/planets and Earth will pass away but my word will remain forever, not an exact quote. Even as we christains believe in the second coming, the earth will be around well over a thousand years afterwards prior to the white throne judgement. So we need not get to uptight about Global warming, enviromentalist have been predicting the end of time now for many years. I threw all that in because it should get things a little heated up The earth is a big place and man may have a very small, and I mean a very small part in its heating up. There are powers at play greater than we will ever truely understand that bring about climate change. I think we are foolish when we begin to think we have all the answers, however we are also foolish if we don't try to make a difference in limiting harmful effects to what has been intrusted to use. America has made great improvements in limiting harmful pollutants into our air and water, where China, Eastern Europe, North Korea several nations in Latin America to name a few could do more to inprove.
  2. It was in reponse to dontbounce and tbrown. Sorry for the confussion.
  3. > >Does any of this ring a bell? How did I end up on this thread, made a wrong clicky. Well anyway....so uh, hows it going?
  4. Charlie Shean, if I spelled the name correctly almost put a stop to em, the damn things could make themselves look like humans but jump like Mexican jumping beans. Turns out they had a contract with Halliburton and Dick Chenny to build these damn reators to take over the world. The things people do for money
  5. There are alot of bitter folks typing about on these threads at DZ.com.
  6. Did they come with belts for their pants? Oh by the way did they come legally?
  7. Well, I must say term limits look pleasing more and more each year. I'm thinking if senators could serve no more than two terms (12 years), congressman no more than 6 terms (12 years) if we would all be better off.
  8. Hey, dude you got a mint. Death comes to us all, and then the truth shall be known. Its interesting that you us the word FACTS in bold print and follow it up with, "to remain addicted to the drug that is....." The truth, is were this hijack is taking us, its a discussion of great importants to many, every man and women through out time have seeked it if truthbeknown.
  9. > Will Kallend be accused of being a greedy republican? Damn, I thought I held that title, well I guess I'll be a greedy lying lefty for a day. I think, If my memory is correct, there is a Dem. with multipul Federal charges pending against him but so far he has refused to step down or resign. Delay stepped down, and is resigning makes him guilty prior to any court rendering a sentence. The Dem. currently is hanging in there dispite criminal charges and therefore must be inocent.
  10. Hey, Speedy Sorry dude, the hijack has become a better read. This thread has a small chance of catching the windcatcher thread. Pulling out my Sword and giving it a good read so I can catch up to this discussion.
  11. Maybe the idea is to burn cars and several businesses to open up employment oppertunities in the manufacture of new cars, and contruction work to rebuild the cities after they burn them to the ground.
  12. Maybe we Americans are allowing them to take the USA from us without so much as a fuss.
  13. > You must be making a funny. > Now they're killing each other left and right! They were some 300,000 plus in mass graves before we arrived, and they are still piling them up even as we speak. Yea, its a nasty business we are in over there, but one I believe was worth getting involved. The peacful religion of Islam is very much in the business of sending masses of their fellow man to the Kingdom of Heaven. Although we have been in their sights from time to time, the people of Iraq have suffered from evil as I see it long enough. These killers have exported their killing long enough and its been along time coming that someone willing to stand up to their madness bring them to account. Is it a Civil War, maybe in the view of some, maybe not in the view of others, however to many its just another day of muslim killing muslim and no one really knows why other than its seems to be a national past time.
  14. Hey, SSGJOHNSON, don't let Kallend get you down, he just does'nt like his country much right now. This American thing has been eating at his gut now for sometime. He does however have a son over in Iraq, he's proud of his son, but not of his mission. I for one stand with ya, appreciate your service to our country. I for one believe its a made up story with no one to support his statements, as well as no facts, even being a former member of the SAS is in question.
  15. > The press is whipping it up to be more than it really is because it gets the lefties in a tizzy and gives them a reason to hate Bush. It should not be misunderstood, the press is invested in American defeat, they are wagging a war as well, and have been so far successful in getting the American People to become a bunch of whinning cry babies, with no back bone.
  16. > Well, my ex-wife got everything else. ... At least you got to keep the best toy. Is it a 201? and what year.
  17. > Governments regardless of whether they are federal, state, provincial or municiple need to make sure they are running effeciently before they start thinking of raising taxes. But that message seems to be lost at too many government levels and unfortunately too many people in society see themselves as victims and thus demand expensive bloated government services. We'd all be better off if we pulled up our pants, stopped feeling like victims and ensured our own financial houses were in order before we demanded that governments get their houses in order. At least this way we're not as reliant on governments. If only Kallend could post so clearly. But I agree with your post. "Less bitching, more savings"
  18. > I was in dreaded credit card debt in excess of $15k. I was there once myself, although mine was abit more than 15K. Several years to pay it off, but became dept free in 1996, except for the mortgage. Now I have to pay for the college educations of my three girls, but the wife and I make far more money than we did all those years ago. The future weddings, thats going to be interesting when they come around. Credit Card debt I believe is the dept that distroys completly with revolving rates that take 30 plus years to pay off if you just pay the minumum.
  19. > "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs. " Ken, I hope your not a true follower of Karl Marx, suffic it to say, it is both foolish and wicked to teach the average man who is not well off that some wrong or injustice has been done to him. That those making less than 30K should hope for redress elsewhere than in their own industry i.e. for the lefteys that means work, honesty, and intelligence. Simply put, self reliance and a focused vision to pursue a better life than you may have now. Don't expect it or demand it from others, but expect it and demand it of yourself.
  20. > on this ex-SAS dude I personally think it makes for good fiction. When does his book and movie come out...im saving my pennies.
  21. > (prescription drug program comes to mind). I'm for eliminating the prescription drug program. Currently running 4X's the estimated cost. Was not a happy camper when Bush signed it into law. The education bill, is a big joke, and currently the government is spending about $1.75 to get .10 cents into a contractors hands to rebuild N. O. Revamp Social Security, to allow for personal savings. A 25 year old could accumulate a great deal of money with $50.00 a month in a Roth IRA, it grows tax deffered as well as distributions at retirement are tax free. Although some future congressman will figure this out and change the law.
  22. > True Grit. Yes, but is there truth behind the grit?
  23. So this has been posted before. The Video however is far more powerful.
  24. Did'nt the US Congress give Clinton the Line Item Veto power from I believe 1996 to 1998 before the courts ruled against it. Clinton was able to veto I believe 80 items that kept the budget in check over that period of time. I could be wrong but this would be a good thing if it were available today.
  25. Thanks for making it do the clicky thing.
