Most of the state leans to the left and many of the so called republicans there tend to be more left than right. So I'm not sure why Bill thinks the Republican party is desperate, there is no real orginized Rebublican party that is conservitive left in California. California is a beatiful state, and has low taxes, affordable housing, great well fare programs, and Large Corp's. doing all they can do to move there and open up shop and oh almost forgot Hollywood. Oh and Vehicle registration is really cheap also.

Have you seen the video? And to think he converted a car that would run on water and drove 100 miles while only using 4 oz. Not to mention, the off gas is vapor (Water).

> Ever watch a kid nearly drown? I have. Changes one's perspective on this quite a bit. As for the there being supervision? The child I watched nearly drown was at a birthday party. Tons of kids around. Tons of parents too. Kid was in the middle of a bunch of kids playing..noone even noticed they were under water and not resurfacing. Luckily the lifeguard noticed. Very interesting you bring this up. A young single mother I worked with as a diver had a son. They lived in an appartment complex and where at the pool on afternoon to enjoy time with friends and catch some sun. She was laying on a towel next to the pool sunning with radio head phones on while her son played in the water next to her. Not sure how much time had passed, but when she looked up to check on her son, he was laying on the bottom. She brought him to the surface and began child CPR with no responce and he was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.

> It only takes seconds for them to slip in too. I was a Safety Diver for NASA for many years training Astronauts underwater for EVA's (Extra-vehicular Activity) i.e. Space Walks. Being involved with this job and a Homeowner with a in ground pool in the back yard I saw the need to teach my girls when they were very young how to drown proof them. On vacation one year my oldest at about 2 years of age was being watched by my wife while we were at a water park. I was on the other side of a large wave pool waving at my daughter who at that moment deside to break free from her mother and come to me. The shortest distance between two points is a streight line and thus she went into the wave pool. I made a flying leep into the water and reached her as she was hitting bottom in 8' of water. Eyes wide open and the look of deaths door on her face. Never will forget it. Got her to the surface and helped her as she threw up water. My little girls were very good at home floating on their backs when droped into the back yard pool. Turns out not very good when she feel into a large pool with 3' wave action.

John, I'm just getting back to your post. When at the falls just on the other side there is a natual Chimney Rock formation that you can clime. Not sure if you noticed it. Also on the other side of the falls there is a small cave that has what appears to be indian drawings in it. It's located on private property but is located no more than 75 yards or so from the water falls and is within the canyon. Its somewhat hidden from view by a large tree but is a nice find if you go back that way again. The small cave your in is know by many of my friends as Jesus's Tomb.

Yes, they have a large fresh water lake there on the property. Chrildren and grown up swim there during the summer, and water landing training occurs there as well. Steve or Eric swoop it from time to time as well as others, so during Skyfest we can untie their shoes when they pass over.
-
> Of course, now I'm terrified of being underwater... Come to Sky Fest and I'll have you breathing underwater in about 10 minutes. I'll even bring some fish food so you can feed the fishies. Oh yea, you will be wearing a SCUBA Tank, and I'll be right there hanging onto your BC.

Republicans are better educated than Democrats. Why you hit so hard. My sister has only a High School education, and she pulls down $250,000.00 a year income with a Fortune Five hundred New York Based Company. And Receives a 30% bonus on her annual income if she meets budget which she has managed to do 3 years running, putting her income well over 300K and beating me times two. Education never replaced hard work or a vision worth pursueing. Don't get so wrapped up on education, although it's important, its not everything when it comes to success and happeniness.

Filing: Tape Shows Lawmaker Taking $100G

> Compare the amount of media coverage with that of the Abramoff scandal. Striking, eh? What is stiking and somewhat of a Hijack to this thread is Ray Nagin winning re-election with only $541,000.00 to his apponents $3,300,000 plus nest egg and the DNC Chairman working to defeat him. The DNC Black caucus I believe even asked the DNC not to get involve but to remain nuetral. -
Thats true, it happened more than once.

Its about time reporters where held to account for assisting in the leaking of classified information. They have no first amendment right when it comes to committing a crime.

Another great analysis, and if I might add, without the use of attachments.

> A good example of people making a major effort to save part of the environment.... Had a camp fire this weekend, lots of smoke to blot out them there UV radiation stuff.

Americans Think Their Calls are Being Recorded
Channman replied to Gravitymaster's topic in Speakers Corner
> Now I am laughing. You obviously have not spent anytime looking at the NewMax website or the Mag. Thanks for enlightening me Do you ever feel like your talking to a wall. -
> I'd suggest a little more eloquence and a little less beating your point in with a lead pipe... Just the thought provoking analysis I was sure would find its way into this thread, although I'm a christian myself, lurch as an atheist knows how to have a conversation. I just might learn to do better in future threads.

How many of those in Congress/Senate were DUI repeat offenders. One comes to mind, and it appears he was trained in SCUBA or beath hold diving.
-
> and not waste your spark of existance blinded by your unfounded, unprovable beliefs. Now I know its not worth the time to watch, however I'm sure there are a very few on this thread that will provide thought provoking analysis unlike the above statement.

John, some excellent photos, looks like you had a good time. Never been to Inks Lake, but have camped at Pedernales Falls several times. How was the river running? and did you get a change to hike Twin Falls while there? Pleasure meeting you several weeks ago at Spaceland. Cheers

> And what is the next logical step? How about if the post office opened your mail? How about if they start opening up our medical records?
-
> No, it is more likley 100s Millions of calls. That is not the point......... Getting involved in this conversation way late, however it was not that long ago many people were pissed because our government did not connect the dots. The News media, Senate, Congress...howcome no one connected the Dots. Now our government is trying to connect the dots, save american lives and we hear from the Left how outragged they are, and now seem to be coming up with a Terrorist Bill of Rights. Can't fight em, detain em, listen in on em, but we are going to be damn sure we tie our hands to provent us from ever defeating em. Corporations have for year sold my personnal information without my consent, I've endured numerous mailings requesting me to by this or that, Pre Approved Credit offers no questions asked. They seem to know my name, were I live, work, and house hold income. Not so much of a whimper from the american consumer when compared to this so called NSA spying. If a number from a know terrorist is matched calling a number in the US, then and only then is a court order requested to begin an investigation or surveillance if deemed necessary. (Thats my understanding)

Good to hear, however I have to go to the corner, I've been placed in time out. Sorry my joke was not very friendly.

> Your one warning. Warrented and diserved, I'll behave better, and place myself in timeout for the remainder of the day. Just a note though: not much gets past you does it, you have a keen eye.

Hey Zippy, You must have your rectom nerves crossed with your optical nerves giving you a shitty outlook on life Give me something positive going on in your life. There has to be something that gives you hope to live yet another day. The increasing number of working poor, that would'nt have anything to do with illegals coming across the boarder would it? I see and hear of more people coming up the ladder than going down. Find something that makes you happy and do it on purpose. Looking forward to hearing good news from you in the future.

> I had a friend that wanted a rig, a new TV etc. but had a poorly paying job. So he got credit cards, bought them all, then declared bankruptcy. A judge then decided which company would get paid back when; due to the repayment schedule some of his debts would essentially never be repaid. And he got lots of stuff! Yep, seen that happen here in Houston, but also know of several people who tried it and received 1099's from those companies they refused to pay and ended up owning Income Tax to Uncle Sam. Those Companies write off the dept and cut you a 1099 as income to you. But all in all the economy is doing quite well. We are currently experiencing 95.30% employment in this country which is better than any European Country at this time. 95.30%, thats pretty darn good, if you are the 4.7% un-employeed not so good.

> If you put me in there and split it 4 ways, we can talk. I'll see what I can do when I go before the Board Members. We will need to put some money in your hands under the table to keep you quite I see. No need to put this in the open, I'm sure we can come to some agreement.
