I have to stand up to zip the booties on all my suits, but maybe you should have someone with more experience check it. When you point your toes you should have tension on the front of the suit up to the shoulder. PM me if you think it is really too short. J BASEstore.it

Look up Rogala hang gliders, you don't need a profile to generate lift. The resulting air flow around the object is what creates the "profile". Wingsuits generate conventional and vortex lift. According to Tristans theory all we have to do is maximize our surface area presented to the air flow - this would be achieved by going straight down (?) BASEstore.it
-
right... glide ratio = lift / drag.... lift is zero... ok. This is a kind of Zen thing right? BASEstore.it
-
hmm, so this lift of which you speak has nothing to do with the air flow over the top surface? Interesting... BASEstore.it

I can't say no to the free champagne, but I think you get my point BASEstore.it

If a newbie focuses on time they will learn how to stall. Fly for distance and time comes naturally. SM1 best glide speed is near stall, this not the case for most other suits on the market. Attach some wool strands to the back of your suit Tristan and have someone film you. If you don't believe it, make TristanSuits BASEstore.it

I am preparing a presentation to try and get wingsuit formations and competition recognized at an official level. I intend to propose the 3 items in the poll but want to hear what other people in the community think. Jarno will pitch "freestyle" but as an artistic event has never been conducted I prefer to add it in later. Thank you for your input, J BASEstore.it

Yes Not really, but the larger wing area can make flocking more comfortable for heavier pilots. J BASEstore.it

Velcro has the annoying habit of not coming undone when you want it to and coming undone when you don't want it to. The classic prototype that Robi & Jari used for their first WS BASE jumps off the ITW had velcro rather than zippers on the arm sleeves as they were worried about the zips jamming.. The velcro started to release in freefall on Robi's flight and this helped motivate him to come up with the tab solution. BASEstore.it
