    The cut away system is to allow you to reach your steering line toggles and safely fly your canopy. I have already used the system for real when a zip jammed, i was easily able to reach the toggles and land without problem. The freedom of movement is not as good as the old side of body tab/cable BUT more than sufficient to reach your toggles and fly your canopy. BASEstore.it

    No such thing as bad publicity, "utilizing" the media is a real and effective part of modern policing / investigation. Every sound bite, column inch and internet post slightly increases the chances of turning up new evidence. BASEstore.it

    IMO the bigger suit is less enjoyable to fly in BASE, i get less distance but more time. The emotions and sensation of flight are less intense. Compared to the V2 the Stealth feels like being under a canopy. It is also harder to fly precisely making proximity even more risky. (and it took me along time to find the PC on my 1st cliff jump, a few seconds skydiving is not such a big issue...) BASEstore.it

    The wingsuit discipline continues to grow and the market is maturing. I see that the "purchase decision" process is becoming more detailed, it is no longer just a question of which suit has the "look ma bigger wings" or 7:1 glide ratio. Ease to assemble / wear / fly, cut away system, materials, build quality, color options, 2nd hand value, delivery time and price are becoming more important. BASEstore.it

    The Phantom 2 prototype was also at Z-Flock 4.0 to get some more test jumps and feedback. Main changes are to the inlet design, panels and also a slight increase in surface area (arm and leg). All 3 obligatory views attached.. BASEstore.it

    Today a historical feat was achieved during the Z-Flock 4 wingsuit event. Ray Stone, jumped from a helicopter, wearing only his wingsuit and successfully landed - his only injury - a bloody nose! Video and photos to follow! BASEstore.it

    We made a few nice loads today before the weather turned. I had an interesting jump with a Texan fly stuck to my goggles, couldn't see a thing the whole jump With the low cloud base we made a fun distance comp. Not really possible to call a winner as 3 passes were needed. Jeff gets styles points for showmanship, doing a 180 at the end of his flight He is serious about retaining his distance title and is sporting a new prototype with looong wing stick thingies. The bad weather gave everyone time to catch up with old friends. Attendance is over 60 for the first time. The flock is still growing
