Actually Karlsberg wasn't overly strong flavored, and didn't have the alcohol content like the bockbiers- Now if you want a strong flavored, (almost syrupy) high alcohol German beer, go to the country, find yourself in a town called Zweibrucken, and get some Perminater - We nicknamed it Terminater - It will put your dick in the dirt! Best beer I ever had was Karlsberg, made in Homburg, Germany. Absolute beer ecstasy. If and when I ever make it back ---- Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

were you APG or an electric/environmental type? We had lots of fun in high school with acetylene and 20 foot lengths of 6- inch well casing - Makes a wonderfully loud bazooka They'll jump high too if not tied down well- Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

I'd have a rigger inspect the equipment to determine (if possible) the root cause of the failure first- then take whatever may be deemed as appropriate action from there- Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

Thanks Bill!- I'll probably go single sided since I do have a Cypres- (Wouldn't leave the ground without one!) I must say this has been an informative and interesting thread! Ciao- Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

Ok - Now you guys got me thinking- ( Some fairly pursuasive arguments out there-) I have no RSL on my Racer- From what I understand it's a unique RSL system- Supposing I decide to have it reinstalled ( I purchased the rig without RSL) What should I look out for and does it have any anomolies I should watch out for? I am planning on trying a digi again myself- I was on student status and didn't like it at that time, I blame that on being a bit of a luddite about certain things- But my FT-50 reads about 500 feet high at 10,500 and is right on at 4,000 - I have never heard any one complain about accuracy with the Digitudes- Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

I my self am fairly new to the sport- My rig does not have an RSL- I was trained to pull red then silver- I rehease this every time I put my rig on - and if it's been more than a couple weeks since my last jump I reach for them right after exit- (along with a prcp-) RSL's are subject to the same debate as helmets and seat belts I don't wear a helmet on my bike, I do wear a seatbelt, No RSL, I like my dytter, and when I get the extra cash plan to buy a pro-trak and jump with both- But they are no substitue for keeping an eye on my wrist mount- I often forget I have the dytter until it beeps- usually while I'm checking my alti- My newbie input for what it's worth- Ciao- Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

We jump a 182 every weekend- about 20 min to altitude- usually 10,500 agl- Airfield elevation I think is around 800 feet- Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

Drakkar or Polo Sport here- - Never knew fragrances could draw such a philisophical response- Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

Some jumpers I know will wash thier rig at the car wash and then spray with Scotchgaurd - Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

I've jumped with a digi a few times - just to see if I like it, but found I prefer the swinging needle- I found it easier (for me) to recognize altitude - Personal preference I suppose! another .02! Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

BWAHAHAHAHAH!!! ' You're one of us now- Welcome to our world! The best is yet to come!!! Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

Thanks a mil for this thread! Really helpful for this newbie! I'll be in touch with AR shortly to demo a Tri- -C-Ya! Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

I also have a Z-1 but have never had a problem close to that- I understand though all the Z-1's are the same size shell with different thickness liners- So it may be you should consider a new helmet. My next will most likely be an A-3, as I have heard nothing but high praise for them- My.02!!! -- Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

Got a question- I've been given an opportunity to swap my Spectre for a Triathalon- I'm wondering how the two may differ in handling - Any input? Thanks in advance! Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

Married about 2-1/2 years- Took up skydiving last summer- Wonder how long the marriage will last now-She isn't much in love with the sport- something may sound like this- "The wife says if i don't quit jumping she'll leave me- How's the spot look to you?" Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

I agree 100% I'd have to buy a new container before I could downsize anyways- Sam is going to a 135 - one of his reasons for selling this rig- I plan on wearing this canopy right out before getting another! I'll be jumping as much and as often as I can afford this summer, too! C-Ya! Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!
-
I really like it- Openings have been great, it's fun to fly and I've had the best landings with it. I haven't jumped alot of different canopies but I would definitely buy another spectre! The sabre2 does sound tasty, though- Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

Mine is a Racer and I've noticed they tend to run a little higher- But my rigger has my pop top very flat- the reason why he re-packed it was he didn't get it as flat as he liked- I was OK with it- Talk about pride in workmanship! Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!
-
ChromeBoy- How many jumps did you when you started jumping the Spectre? Just wondering--- Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

Hi Alex- I'm jumping a spectre150 at about 1.3 : 1 (the rig I got from Sammy) See ya Saturday! Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

I never heard of such myself- sounds interesting - Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

I use the same guy Alex does - 55 bucks to repack my Racer and is very picky - as a matter of fact he wasn't 100% satisfied with the last repack he did for me and repacked it again - no charge- plus fixing some bad elastic on my main risers- I feel rates aren't so much an issue but quality should be- My .02! Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!

Hey Alex- Here's .02 from a newbie- I got spazzed out during my static line progression (15 second delays) and one our instructors took me up to full altitude (14,500 in our case) and we just relaxed - It worked for me! And I've noticed the first jump of the day just gets the knots out- Second and on are the good ones! Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!
