  1. Tried that. Trying to push the start button in flight was a real pain. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  2. These are two very different canopies. Both have nice openings. Pilot is a 9 cell with very flat glide. It has a good flare, but the power is deeeep in the toggle stroke. If you don't finish your flare or have shorter arms, landings take a bit more practice to get right. Storm is a 7 cell that is trimmed pretty steep. Opens faster than a Pilot, but not harder. Has a nice flare and a bit of swoopiness to it compared to the Spectre. Just depends on what you want out of a canopy. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. 6. And since all freeflyers jump pocket rockets loaded at 9,900:1, the belly flying old farts jumping F1-11 canopies at less than 1:1 just clog up the landing area. When will skydiving move into the 20th century? 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  7. I think that was Maaco. Nope, my mistake, Earl Scheib. Cal walked his tiger and sold lots of used cars. Looks like Bry beat me to my correction. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

  9. Changing to cut in laterals is a major mod. It is almost a complete rebuild. I would go with a new container that is cut to my specs versus chopping up an existing rig. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  10. Damn, now who is going to paint any car, any color for $49.95? 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  11. At Safety Day, a question was posed to those that do not use an RSL. When under your reserve, would you rather land with line twists or at line stretch? 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  12. I know you are allergic, but fresh peaches over vanilla ice cream. Yummy. Just stab yourself with an epi pen. You'll be fine. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  13. I agree with Trunk. It needs to be tested under tension. I have been playing with several ideas on a cutaway for the G2/G3. The method Brian posted is one my brother has been making for the sea kayak industry for many years. But the tolerances are tight to make sure it works in all conditions. I guess something that might work is better than nothing at all, until you rely on it and it doesn't work. I decided the liability wasn't worth the effort. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. 16. I have spoken with Terry the owner several times. Aerotech makes the Eiff Classic canopy and other products sold by other companies. I currently have a demo of both the Comanche and Apache in a 150 sf loaded about 1.4. The Apache has the low bulk fabric and Comanche the thicker, less slippery fabric. All newer made canopies will have the low bulk fabric. I have put about 10+ jumps on the Apache and 20+ on the Comanche. Both have a flat glide and great flare. I tried them for WS, and the openings were a bit erratic. Jumped at standard belly to earth and the openings were more consistent. I am use to Sabre quick openings, so a loooong snivel isn't for me, but want something a bit softer for my aging neck. Played with how I pack them and think I am figuring out the sweet spot for nice snivel that isn't too slow. Fun to fly. Very stable in deep brakes. After a long time with toggles buried, eventually would start to stall. Smooth let up on the toggles and it eased back into full flight. I am not a swooper, but do love to play under canopy bumping end cells or dragging a long banner. The riggers I have had look at the canopies say they are well made. A friend who jumped a Sabre2 150 downsized to the Comanche 135 and loves it. Better openings and she was able to get great landings, even at LP with the higher elevation/density altitude. At this point, I am preferring the Comanche over the Apache. YMMV. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

  24. I'm not fond of the chest strap thread through style. Not stable enough. I make a mount that slips under the mud flap. Rock solid stable and can be rotated. Same general design as my altimount. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
